Tuesdays with Larry
Today instead of attending the Temple we decided to go the Family History Center in SLC. Larry really wants to learn how to find names and do what is needed to take those names to the temple. Debbie and Paul Widdison went us since Debbie is a missionary at the Center two days a week. She knows her stuff and I think she helped Larry out a lot. I'm not interested right now in my life. I know I will love it but right now I have other things I am trying to do....I don't think it's my time quite yet. Paul laughed at me as I twiddled my thumbs and twirled in my chair. (I wasn't really that bad...but I wasn't paying attention after the first hour) I was there to support Larry and so I sat there while he learned. I thought about going to another computer and looking up some names but didn't. Instead I pulled out my phone and played a few games. ☺
Larry's head was hurting with all the things he had been shown. He was ready to leave and go get some dinner. We stopped at Sizzler since it's fast and yummy. I enjoyed our conversations with the Widdisons. Paul mentioned something about the temple that made me stop and think. He said that when we take a name through that person is required to be there so they will know what they are asked to accept or not. He thinks some of those "angels" might be bored and that's why its hard for us to stay awake sometimes as well. I like believing they are with us. Sometimes I feel their presence and I know they are happy to have their work done.
I dropped both Larry and Debbie off to get their cars from Widdison Auto and then Larry and I headed to the church for a class on Marriage and Family Relations. Larry told the Fosters (Kirk and Janet) that if they needed more people for their class we would be happy to attend. I guess they needed more people. ☺ Actually tonight they really did. There were only 3 couples that showed up. It was a good class and I think we just might enjoy going to it each Tuesday Evening.

Happy Birthday Tammy G
We went to Idle Isle in Brigham and I was glad to drive there just so we could talk. I wasn't sure how much time I was going to get with Tammy but we ended up having the entire day. We caught up on each others lives. We made silly video's where our faces were distorted and I laughed so hard my tummy muscles hurt. We are pretty hilarious at times! We talked about a lot of spiritual things which I always enjoy. The time went fast and it was me that needed to get home. I sure love this fun, crazy, in tune, loving, spiritual friend of mine. I hope we get to celebrate many more birthdays together. Tammy adds so much joy to my life! We both believe in Angels...and she is one of mine for sure!

My Favorite Sunday
I love our Easter Egg Hunt Tradition.
This year the north lawn was for the babies 2 and under. The eggs were all over the grass and the little ones had a great time putting them in their buckets. They all got a lot of eggs. The sand box was for the older grands and it was so much fun watching them run around. Up the steps and down the slide. Through the tires again and again. They needed a little help reaching a few of the eggs that were on the roof and high on some of the playground equipment. I love running around after everyone trying to get everyone's pictures. It makes me laugh and smile all over. Everyone gets to hunt in the front yard. I love watching my big kids run around with cute buckets swinging from their hands trying to find the eggs. Always such a fun day! They search high and low, and all around, and through every bush, and under every clump of grass. It's fun to watch. I count how many eggs we hide and we never find them all. We do make sure all the money is accounted for though.
This is a picture with everyone except me and Kimleighel. I was taking the picture and Kimi was still at church.
Larry took this picture when Kimleighel got home...so this is our bunch!
It was a wonderful day from start to finish. I'm so thankful for the Atonement and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for my marvelous family. We are truly Blessed!

Loss Of Sparkle
As a wife and mom and just plain human being I want to be able to make everything right. I want to help others to be happy and not experience trials or pain. I plead constantly with Heavenly Father for those things. I know His plan is best in the long run and He knows what trials we need to learn certain things. Maybe I am being a slow learner right now. Maybe my blood pressure medicine has crazy side effects that are not in sync with my life style and mind set. I'm not sure what's happening or why but one thing I know for sure is I want my Sparkle Back!
I looked up the side effects of the bp medicine and they are:
cold or flu symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, fever;
dry cough; yep but just occationally
muscle cramps; yep
pain in your legs or back; yep
stomach pain, diarrhea;
headache, dizziness; lightheaded
tired feeling; or sleep problems (insomnia). very tired
itching, hands, feet everywhere
So I'm pretty sure much of my lack of sparkle is from my new medicine....not liking this at all.

Celebrating Kimleighel
We had a fun time shopping and being with Kimleighel. We arrived home just before Larry got home. We waited for him and Jared to get a lose cow back on our side of the fence and then we went to Sizzler for dinner. I guess I didn't get a picture. We all enjoyed the salad bar and Larry added a steak to his order. On the way home we picked up a pie! My kids aren't big on birthday cakes and I think most of them prefer pie...at least I hope that's how it is! ☺
What a Fun Day with a Fun Girl!

Kimleighel is 20
I know that Kimleighel is going to blessed for her goodness and pure heart. I'm excited to see what's in store for her. It's fun being a part of her journey. I love all her excitement and silliness. Kimleighel has her focus where it should be. She has some wonderful goals and is learning more and more the power of thinking positive. I sure do love this beautiful daughter of mine. I'm lucky to be her mommy!

Temple Tuesday or Tuesday with Larry
Larry and I and three others were assigned to clean some stairs wells. (4) That included dusting the walls and then mopping them. Cleaning all the brass rails and hinges on the doors. Cleaning all the doors first to get the dust off and then drying them. It also meant cleaning all the marble baseboards and wiping the front side of the stairs and then mopping the stairs. It was a lot of work. We kept moving from one set of stairs to another doing each step of the cleaning check list. It was a great work out and my body held up. I was worried because I was sore from working out the day before and could hardly move. I took some pain reliever and that with being blessed got me through. I really enjoyed being able to help. We were the last group to finish up and everyone got an ice cream cone before we left. We got home just after 1:00 am.

Green Dinner
The Provo City Temple Dedication was today. I took Kimleighel and Jared to the early session and Larry stayed home and watched Behr. (who by the way is a fun, easy baby) I enjoyed the service so much that I went back to the second session with Larry. I love the Temple! We are so blessed to have them all over the world. We here in Utah are so blessed to have so many within a few hours of our homes. The Temples truly are the House of the Lord and if you want to walk where He does then go to the Temple.
Mallory told Kathy and I about this yummy ice cream. It took me a few shopping trips to find it but when I did, I splurged and got some. I would dare say this is the best ice cream I have ever had. Every bite has ribbons of marshmallow and caramel and every few bites you get a fudge fish. YUM! I only eat a few bites at a time and so it is lasting. Who'd have thought? I'm glad I don't go searching for these things on my own. I'd be in BIG trouble!

Cousins Breakfast
Lana Dean in on the left and her sister Lynda MacKenzie is next to her and by me. Wendy is on the end by my mom. Lana and Lynda's mom was the cousin to mine and Wendy's parents. Wendy's mom is my dad's sister. I had to come home and message another cousin of ours that lives in Idaho how it worked because none of us could remember exactly how we were tied together. Lynda and Lana's mom was a Stone and proud of it. Lynda told us that when her kids said they were Brown's (because that was their last name) their mom would correct them and tell them they came from the Stone line. They came from both and so they were all right. ☺
Today we noticed we all have short waists. So I get that gene from both parents...lucky me! We've all lost some height but I think I have lost the most. I admire my cousins and I'm really glad for social media so that we were able to find each other and connect every now and then. I for one think it's wonderful to have such great people as part of my family and I'm glad that we are all friends.

Good Ol' Friends
We went to Freddy's for a hamburger and frozen custard. Freddy's is a good old fashioned hamburger joint. They might be famous for their steak burgers since they are the only place I know of that has them. It was yummy and the company fantastic. I don't get tired of Debbie and Paul. We had lots to talk about and could have spend a few more hours with them.
I'm glad these guys moved closer (in the house Paul grew up in) because once in a while I will just stop in on my way home. They're great friends! Tonight Larry said that Paul's mannerisms were so much like Merrils. (Paul's dad) I think Paul and his brothers do take after their dad who was a wonderful man. I loved Paul's parents because they were just so kind and loving. I sat in the hospital room with his mother after she had passed away. That was a surreal experience.
I'm glad that we were able to spend a few hours with our friends. I hope we do it again soon.

Hooper Honey's
We went to the Corner Bakery today. I noticed three other groups of ladies meeting as well. It's a yummy place and it didn't make my tummy sick. It wasn't even overly busy like I have seen it in the past. It was nice and we didn't feel rushed. (they even trade your soup if it's too spicy)
I love when you can laugh, cry and even bare your testimony with your friends. That happened today. I love being able to share my things that are going on in my life with my friends and have them share their things and have the love and support of everyone. These women are some of the best born. They are all so loving, caring and kind. They are also so fun! They all make my life so much better!
I hope we all live to be over 100 and if by chance I die first, I hope someone will remember that I want chocolate handed out at my funeral! (truth)

Happy Saint Patrick's Day
We started learning some actions for our production tonight at SNAP. They're easy and the group caught on fast. They all got to color some "3's" that will be used for the scenery. Some of these people crack me up and they all make my heart smile!

Starting Again
I think it's time to pull out the video's I have and give them a try. I know that exercising will improve my blood pressure and the every day stress that we all get. I'm going to make it part of my day again. I appreciate Crystal for inviting me to join her. She told me how quickly she was able to see improvement on her exercise. I couldn't keep up with her. I'm excited to improve and get healthier! It's never too late to start again...that's for sure!
I treated myself to a pedicure after. I love pedicures. I tried a new place that my friends told me was really good. It's called T Nails and is by Planet Fitness. It's been there for 20 years and today was my first time there. I think for a first time pedicure this would be the place to go. They are very gently and the ladies speak English. ☺ I still like 99 Nails though because. I like having my feet and heels worked on a little more. This place had hot rocks they rubbed on your legs and that was nice.
Kimi suggested that our family go see Miracles from Heaven tonight and so we did. It is a really good movie and story. It made me think about all the miracles around us...all the things we have to be grateful for. I also thought that we all get trials for a reason. We become stronger because of the trials we get. God helps us through our trials. There are always people that will love and support us but there will always be someone out there that no matter what will be judgmental and cruel.
It was a great day!

Tuesday with Larry aka Temple Tuesday
I love the Logan Temple. It's unique and has a wonderful feeling all around it. I have heard some cool stories about it when it was first built and it is the Temple Larry and I attended when we were first married, living in Malad and Samaria. So, I'm glad that every now and then we decide to go there. I love Logan...it's a cozy place. I always thought it would be nice to live there. We made the 3:30 session. I love going to the Temple with Larry and look forward to our Tuesdays!
Larry's mom called while we were in the Temple and needed a Priesthood Blessing. Larry and Jaydan gave her one when we got home. She sounds terrible and has been fighting bronchitis all winter. I hope she will get better now. I finally got a blessing too. I only had to ask 3 times and wait a month but it happened. ☺ I hope my attitude doesn't hold back the spirit from blessing me. I realize we struggle for a reason. Having my hands bother me for months made me realize that as annoying as it has been to me and the reasons (stress) for the reaction have already been felt through Christ's atonement. He experienced my discomfort long before I did. This experience has given me a little perspective (teeny tiny) of the pain, I alone have caused our Savior.

A Wonderful Surprise at My Front Door
Behr and Kimi went with me to the dentist so I could get my night guard. It was snowing today while we drove. I hear people complain but it doesn't bother me. It's how our springs are here in UT. I think people forget because the last few years have kind of gypped a few of the seasons. We've gone right from Summer to Fall with no Winter and back to summer completely leaving out Spring. This past year we experienced all the seasons and I guess that gives people the opportunity to complain. Spring is a season of Sunshine and Rain...maybe mixed with a little snow at times. It is what it is....complaining doesn't change the weather only the complainer.

I Taught
I learned a lot about the Atonement. I grew up thinking that the atonement was just for our sins if we repented. That is a huge part of the Atonement but it is so much more. The Atonement is also for our hurts and disappointments. It's a healing power for absolutely everything. As I studied I thought about the hurts, and sins in my life. I thought about how I ached inside and how painful some of those things were and then I tried imagining experiencing those few things at the exact same time. Whoa.....a little of the reality of this wonderful act of love hit me hard. I don't think it's possible to understand what Christ really did for each of us individually. No wonder he bled from every pore, the pain was excruciating to say the least. I am thankful for Christs Atonement. I am sorry for the pain that I caused Him. I am thankful that I can repent and be forgiven of my imperfections and that I will be able to live with my Heavenly Parents and Christ again.
I am thankful for the Wonderful Miracle of the Resurrection! From the darkness of the Atonement to the Lightness of the Resurrection is amazing and wonderful. The Resurrection is a free gift to everyone ever born. We will all be Resurrected just like Christ was. We will all return to our bodies and be glorified in God.
Our life is a test that will bring us closer to our Savior. We will continue to have challenges so that we can grow and progress. Dallin H. Oaks taught, "Our needed conversions are often achieved more readily by suffering and adversity than by comfort and tranquility."
Jesus is "our" advocate with our Father and has paid, in advance, for our faults and foolishness we often see in the exercise of our freedom. His atonement also was for our suffering of every kind, sickness, wrongs, and pains of the world. We need to accept His gift and repent and follow His commandments in order to take full advantage of this Redemption. We need to let go of our wrongs and hurts which is hard to do but through faith and work it can be done.
A few quotes about the Atonement:
"We understand that the Atonement of Jesus Christ gives us the opportunity to overcome the spiritual death that results from sin and, through making and keeping scared covenants, to have the blessings of eternal like." Dallin H. Oaks
"You and I in a moment of weakness may cry out "no one understands, No one knows." No human being perhaps knows, bu the Son of God perfectly knows and understands, for He felt and bore the burdens before we ever did." David Bednar
"The Savior's Atonement lifts from us not only the burden o four sins but also the burden of our disappointments and sorrows. Our heartaches and our despair. I promise you He is not going to turn His back on us now. When He say to the poor in spirit, "Come unto Me," e means He know the way out and He knows the way up. He know it because He has walked it. He knows the way because Hi is the Way!" Jeffrey R. Holland
"The Savior can wipe away our tears of regret and remove the burden of our sins. His Atonement allows us to leave the past behind and more forward with clean hands,a pure heart, and a determination to do better and especially to become better." President Uchtdorf
"However late you think you are, however many chances you think you have missed,,, however many mistakes you feel you have made or talent you think you don't have, or however far from home and family and God you feel you have traveled, I testify that you have not traveled beyond the reach of Divine Love. It is not possible for you to sink lower than the infinite light of Christ's Atonement Shines!" Jeffery R. Holland
"When yo do you part, the Lord add His power to your efforts." Henry B. Eyring
"Making, Keeping & Rejoicing in our covenants will be the evidence that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is truly written in our Hearts." Sister Burton

Saturdays
While I was at my mom's Larry called and told me that he had tickets to the U of U game that was in Las Vegas. He was so excited and was ready to leave shortly. I reminded him that I was teaching for Jodi M tomorrow and there was no way I could go. (because I'm dependable) I suggested he ask our boys and I even suggested a few of his friends. Kevin and Jared were able to go and since none of our other boys could he invited the grandsons. He didn't get a hold of Zaden but Parker was able to go.

My Boy is Strong
Jaydan wanted to me to join Cross Fit since my friend Suzie goes. I don't want to. It's expensive and I don't want to spend my time doing that. Suzie's niece owns the place and she doesn't have to pay since she also takes a few turns in the nursery a few times a week. It's a great past time if that's how you want to spend your time but right now I'd rather be with friends socializing.
I couldn't help but think about an earlier conversation at book club. Susan had to have her shoulder repaired and the other ones needs to be too. Her doctor and her were talking about her life and what she has done that could have caused the damage in her shoulders. Ummmm......hauling hay, riding horses, yard work, water skiing, hunting, snowmobiling are all things Susan has done over the years. I know all these things can be good for you but they can also be harmful. I'm thinking at my age strength exercises would be great but lifting probably not.

Wise Gals Book Club
I love hearing others report about their books. I really love listening to Susan. Susan can sell a book because she remembers so much and is able to share such good points and details. I really admire that in her. She shared things about the book I took for her to read "The Lion and the Lamb" and now I need to read it again because I couldn't remember some of the things she shared. I really learn a lot from these "wise gals". Belonging to this Book Club has been really good for me!

Kindy 500
My hot flashes seem to attack me when I see my cute grands perform. My eyes were "sweating" and I had to wipe a few tears away. I've always had a problem with the my eyes "sweating" and suppose I always will. I'm so tender hearted!
The cars were all so cute. We have some very creative and talented "kids". Oh my heart swells at the cuteness of little ones.
When Parker was singing, I quite enjoyed the rhythm he possesses. His little head bounced with the bead of the songs. Such a cutie pie. It amazes me all that these kids learn in such a short period of time. We humans are pretty dang amazing. My cute kids and grands are pretty dang amazing!
