Trick or Treat

I enjoy Halloween and the fun things about it.  I'm not one that likes the scary, creepy things about it. This year Kimleighel decided that she wanted our family to be Minions.  I was happy to let her be but wasn't sure the boys would go along with the idea.  Larry mentioned that he would do whatever and so I kept my eyes open for yellow or white hats.  I never came across any (I don't shop much) and so last week I decided that I would just make some.  I got a deal on the fleece material and made up a few hats for each of us.  I looked around for Minion Glasses but couldn't find those either and so I ordered a few.  I only ordered two because I didn't think Jared or Jaydan would participate.  A day or two ago Jared said he would if I wanted him to.  I found some old protective goggles and glued some jar lids on them and was happy with the result.  Jaydan agreed today to dress up and so I hurried and made another pair.  The boys wanted to wear the ones I bought and they mostly wore then on their hats or hanging from the overalls.  (the homemade ones were more comfortable)  We were One in a Minion Family!  I liked how things turned out!
I always enjoy seeing how my kids and grands dress up.  They are always so cute.  Trichelle loves Halloween and usually dresses up pretty cute and clever.  I loved the costumes her and TJ wore this year.  They seriously could have fit in at Disneyland.  Little Behr was a cute bat and Sadie was a darling fish.  (the only kind Kelsi will touch)  Ivy and her dad's family were super hero's...Ivy was Thor.  Justin was a hunter and Natalie was a cute deer.  Mya, Parker and Macie were cute little Indians.  (not  Native Americans....little joke about a sister missionary not liking being referred to as an Indian since she wasn't from India)  Kevin and Julie's girls were cute pirates and Zaden was Rocky Racoon. (I think that is the Racoon's name)  They were all so cute and seemed happy dressing up.
We had the Trunk or Treat and some of the costumes were so cute.  There were more even that I didn't get.  I like taking pictures of other people's cleverness.  I did a lot of smiling watching everyone have so much fun collecting candy and treats.  I might have ate a few of the treats we were giving out...really the ones Trichelle was giving out.  I also ate some of the yummy chili that Dale and Jan Widdison like to make for everyone.
After the Trunk or Treat we went and visited our moms.  I know they look forward to our visit and enjoy having us come over.  We treated them with some fresh onions. haha

I love this time of year and all the celebrating that goes on.  October is full of parties and dressing up and treats and fun.  Then November gets us thinking about our blessing and all we are Thankful for which leads us into the Christmas season thinking of our Savior Jesus Christ. I like the fun traditions of being with our family and friends since that is what this life is all about.  I like ending and starting a New Year Celebrating Jesus and remembering Him for ALL that He does for each of us!

Friday

Hocus Pocus

Carla had everyone over so we could watch Hocus Pocus for Halloween.  We ended up with a different priority today which I believe was an answer to prayer.  We still saw most of the show and ate some yummy treats but followed our instinct and the spirit and helped a friend that needed help.

I didn't realize that Kimleighel had to work since there wasn't school and so I got to watch the kids for a while.
I do feel like today is the start of good things for our sweet friend.  We all get our fair share of trials and challenges in life and sometimes those challenges consume us and take over and we need friends and family to help us get back on track.  Heavenly Father and Jesus are always there for us but it is still up to us to ask them for help.  They are waiting on the other side of the door just waiting.  We need to rely on their help more and pay attention to the help they send.

Thursday

SNAP Halloween Party

I really enjoy Thursdays.  I really enjoy seeing these fun people every week.  They are so filled with kindness, love, and fun.  They appreciate every little thing.  I love seeing their smiles and getting a few hugs from a few of them that like to hug.

Tonight Krista's homeward, Willard 2nd, came and did a Halloween Carnival for us.  Everyone had so much fun.  One gal asked me why it only lasted an hour since it was a party.  Her question made me laugh out loud because she wasn't participating anyway.  I laughed out loud another time when a few of the little gals from Willard gave Larry and sack to collect his treats....they thought he was Special Needs. hahaha....it really is hard to tell just by looking at someone.

The activities were face painting, pumpkin bowling, tic tac toe, cake walk, blinko, and a ring toss.  They had prizes at every game and the group loved it.  Have I mentioned...they love everything?

I always appreciated the wards that come and spend time with us and serve the special needs.  It helps us out a lot and I think its good for everyone.  I think it's really good for the young men and women to be around the Special Needs so they can feel the love these people posses.  Oh how they make me smile!

"Boo"ling

This team is called the Bowling Buddies!  We are buddies and have a lot of fun together.  Bowling near Halloween is especially fun because sometimes we dress up and other times we just add a mask or headband.  I think a few teams think we are crazy and they might just be right.
I don't always look forward to going bowling but I always look forward to seeing my friends at bowling.  I admire so many women that are on this league.  There are some wonderful examples that come every Thursday to bowl.  I love seeing their faces and getting hugs from a few of them.  They add Sunshine to my life!
The cooks are fabulous and always go to so much work to make a yummy meal for us.  This Spooky meal was wonderful and a little gross if you knew what it was all called.  I know that is a rat on the spaghetti which was probably called intestines of sorts.  The bread sticks were twisted snakes, the eggs~spiders and the dessert....something bloody.  It was yummy and I ate more than my tummy liked.
I took a few masks of my own to wear and Carla and I sported a few for awhile.  We like being silly!  It makes life fun!

Tuesday

Temple Marathon....Kind Of

I started off the day by going to the Temple.  I thought I was meeting 3 friends there for the 9:30 session but I was the only one that showed up.  Two had forgot and one assumed that since no one text anything about going to the Temple that no one must be going.  I just assumed that since we all commented last Monday that this Tuesday would work for the 9:30 session that it was a go.  I didn't mind though at all....I love going to the Temple. Heck, I usually go by myself anyway.

Larry and I went back tonight.  We decided that we would go to the Temple every Tuesday and so we did.  In the morning I entered from the west and this evening we entered from the east.  I love our Temple.  I love the peaceful feeling when I go to the Temple.

I got to watch my cute grands in between going to the Temple.  Larry went to Kevin's football game, which they won.  The play off was between Roy Jr and Rocky Mtn.  Rocky has the better team but Roy has that better coach.  That comment was made by our neighbor who's son plays for Rocky and is their best player.  That was a huge compliment to Kevin...he is a wonderful coach.  I also did a little sewing before going back to the Temple....Halloween is coming up and I needed to make a few little things.

Time in the Temple is well spent!

Monday

Happy Birthday Tammy

I'm spoiled and feel very blessed.  We were scheduled to take Tammy to lunch for her birthday on Friday and a day or two before I realized that I had double booked my Friday.  I had book club and really that date was set first.  I felt bad that I was going to have to miss Tammy's birthday lunch because I have missed these friends of mine.  I text Tammy and Kellie to let them know that I messed up and wouldn't be able to make it.  They were so sweet and changed it so that I could make it.  I was happy about that but feel a little guilty because then Keri couldn't make it.  Tammy sent me a nice text that made me feel good and loved.  That's why I didn't want to miss!

I love our girl time!  I love these crazy gals...Tammy is the craziest...but it's her birthday so she can be crazy if she wants to.  Many people wished her happy birthday today while we were at the Blue Lemon.  We were sitting right by the door and people would wish her a Happy Birthday as they left.  It was fun!

These gals make me laugh out loud.  These gals make me feel loved and valued.  These gals mean the world to me!  I sure do love each of them.  I'm thankful that they wanted me there!

Sunday

Halloween Family Dinner

This year instead of me making everything for our Halloween Dinner each of the kids brought something.  It was nice having help since dinner is so soon after church.  I made intestines (big noodles in sauce) that could be topped with maggots. (shredded cheese)  Natalie brought bones. (breadsticks) Trichelle and Julie brought weeds. (salads)  Kelsi and Braxton brought Sadie all dressed up in a cute Halloween dress and monsters. (doughnuts) Jaydan made brew. (lime sherbet drink)  Trichelle also brought a tray of colorful brownies.  It was yummy and fun having everyone here.

When everyone is here the house is noisy and messy and lots happening.  I love it!  I love visiting with my kids and watching the grands enjoy each other.  The little girls are interacting more and more and are so cute.

I sure do love my cute family and every single tradition we have that gets us all together.  Booyah!

Saturday

Hooper Halloween Haunt

Talk about a fun night!  Hooper went all out of the Halloween Haunt.  The people in charge have a talent and know how to get things done.  The people that had booths did a great job.  I haven't been for years and was pleasantly surprised.

Carla and Roger had our family over for dinner before the Haunt and then we all went together.  We really enjoy how easy going and fun Roger and Carla are....they are pretty great!
The park was packed and everything was free.  They had lots of fun things to look at, luminaries lighting the path, music, a movie, a spook alley, a wagon ride, face painting, pumpkin decorating, hot chocolate and cookies, and photo booths.  It was pretty amazing!
A few of us took advantage of a few photo booths. (Roger, Carla and Me)
I knew Natalie and the kids were going to be there but I really didn't think we would find them because of all the people.  When we came to the face painting though we found them.  It was their turn to get their cute faces painted.  They sat so still and the gals did a great job.  They were fast and good.  Pretty fun for the kids.  The sister missionaries were there and one of them was helping paint faces.  My grands didn't get to decorate pumpkins because they were gone by the time they got there.
I remember going to one of the first Hooper Haunts and there might have been 6-8 displays to look at along with the hot chocolate, punch and cookies.  It has certainly improved over the years.  This was such a fun Halloween Event.  I loved it!

I asked Macie if she would smile for a picture....she said she would....this is what I got? haha

Friday

Witches Night Out at Gardner Village

Carla and I went to Witches Night Out and had a great time! We were hoping more of the "sista's" would have joined us but it just didn't work out.  Gardner Village is a great place any day of the year but in October it's simple "Spooktacular".  It's decorated so cute and there are funky witches everywhere.  Two weekends during the month they have nights set aside for Witches to all hang out together.
I enjoy seeing all the different costumes.  There are many ways to dress like a witch.  This year I was a little disappointed because I didn't see some of the really cool people that I have in years past.  (I kind of think they might being showing up tomorrow night which is the last night)  I've seem some really awesome costumes and people over the years.
One of my favorite parts of witches night out is being "Glinda".  I just wish I was better at playing the character of Glinda and staying in character all night.  I love that people like getting their picture taken with me and my witchie friends.  Carla wasn't really Elephaba but being green and all I think people thought so.  I kept reassuring Carla that Elephaba was a kind witch that just wasn't really treated well...she wasn't really wicked at all.  We were a great combo. I personally thought Carla looked so cute!
We walked around and around and enjoyed watching people dance and have a good time.  We stayed until it started to get cold which was about the time my back was telling me it had had enough.
We stopped at Market Street Grill to surprise Jessica (Carla's Daughter) but she surprised us instead and wasn't there.

It was a fun night.

Book Club

I love my book club.  We always have so much fun together.  Today instead of going out to lunch we brought lunch to Susan's new house.  It was fun sitting around and visiting while we ate.  We always discuss so many things.  I love listening to everyone's insight.  These ladies are smartie pants.

We all gave our book reports on the books we have read.  Sometimes I have a hard remembering what I read.  So my reports are funny and I usually need to read the back of the book to jar my memory.  I ended up borrowing a few books and I hope that I will have time to read them.

I enjoy reading and discussing different books.  I feel like my eyes and mind have been opened up over the years from all the reading I have done.  I'm so thankful for these ladies....I learn so much from each of them.

Wednesday

Things Work Out

This morning I got up and tried uploading my book again.  It was almost complete and the internet went out again.  Of course it went out....it would have surprised me if it hadn't...a pleasant surprise though.  I decided I could wait a few more hours and had plenty of other things that I needed to do to keep my mind occupied.  I was planning on going visiting teaching and I needed to make a cape for my "Glinda" costume.  Before getting off the computer though I tried going to my blog and when I tried I was shocked to see that my blog had been deleted!  That's what the page said...no more blog!

I started to panic and kept trying to tell myself that it would be okay...I had most of my blog in a file already and was only missing the posts from last week.  I could write them again...things would be okay.  I also thought....it can't be gone because nothing that we post on the internet is ever really gone.  You just have to know the right people who know about computer stuff.  I decided to call Natalie and see if she could back my computer up and put everything back to the way it was yesterday morning before playing around on it.  The back up for this computer hasn't been set up yet and so we couldn't...plus, this was an internet problem not a computer problem.

I kept saying silent prayers pleading to Heavenly Father.  I really didn't want to lose everything....this was important to me.  Natalie had also been saying a few prayers.  It didn't look good though and Natalie was ready to leave but then she sat back down to show me what to try in an hour.  When she sat back down she pushed a few more links and Miracle of Miracles.....there was my account and blog.  Everything was back to the way it was and to be honest neither of us knew how except to say that our Prayers were answered.  Natalie told me that last night at a Youth Fireside someone had said that if you think something is important enough to pray about it then Heavenly Father thinks it is important because He loves us and we are important to Him!  I was thrilled and relieved and very thankful to Natalie for being God's instrument in answering my prayers.
The guys came and changed our disk so that it faces another tower and everything is working great.  I was able to upload my book!  YES!!! The internet stayed on the whole time.  Oh, and after thinking about the problem I was pretty sure it wasn't my computer because it was uploading and if it had been the computer it wouldn't have done what it did.  I am so glad about that because I would not want to worry every time I make a book.  The best part is that when ordering my book I tried the code that said it ended yesterday and it was accepted!  I received the 40% discount!  HOORAY!  I immediately said a prayer to Thank Heavenly Father and then I reached in the air and gave Him a High Five!

My visiting teachers came just a little late but exactly when I had prayed they would.  I wanted to have my book done before leaving the computer.  I finished my cape before going to Trichelle's to watch her kids.  I feel good.  I love knowing that Heavenly Father answers are silly prayers and that we are important enough for Him to do so!  Yeah For Today!

Tuesday

More Family Names

Today was a bit testy!  My internet kept shutting down while I was trying to upload my blog into a book.  It would get so close and then the internet would quit and I would have to start all over.  I was getting very anxious and I kept trying not to let it bug me but it was getting to me.  When Larry came home from work I was still trying and very frustrated.  We had planned on going to the Temple and doing baptisms for the dead so we would have family names to take to the temple.

I'm pretty sure Larry thought I was out on the Temple idea but when he asked me what we were going to do I said we should go to the Temple.  My book could wait.  The reason I was trying to get it done today was because there was a 40 % discount code that expired today and I really wanted to use it since my book is big and will cost a lot.

I was glad we went to the Temple and I felt peace while we were there.  The spirit is always so strong in the Temple and I love feeling it.  I just watched as Larry baptized Kimleighel and a kid that went to School with Kimi. (Jared had Young Mens)  It was a great experience and I knew that things would work out at home.  Plus, now we each had another 10 family names to take to the temple.  (WooHoo)

The internet techs are coming tomorrow and I know that I will be able to make my book when they get things fixed.  I will just have it ready for when another coupon comes up.  When we got home I called Kevin to see if he could come over and see if it was my new computer...which I was thinking it might be.  Kevin came and while he was here my book loaded..slowly but surely but when he left the internet quit again and so everything was lost and I would need to start over.

I decided to go to bed instead of worrying anymore.  Worrying doesn't help anything anyways and I was really trying to focus on the bright side of things.

Saturday

Jordyn Jo and Sadie Lou

These two little cutie pies have been staying at our house since Wednesday.  They love each other and they love us.  They have been so easy and so fun to have.  I love their cuteness that spills right out of them.  They are each so perfect and good!  Both slept through the night every night and woke up happy with huge smiles.  They nap good and were pretty easy to put down.  They made us all smile over and over again.  It was so fun having them.  Sadie's parents picked her way earlier than I thought they would but we still get Jordy for another day.  What a delight the grands are....each and everyone of them!

Friday

I'm Sealed to My Parents

This morning I received a text from Carla who isn't a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but who loves and honors me and is excited for me regardless of her beliefs.  It was simple but meant so much.  "Have an enjoyable time with your mom and "dad" today!  Love you sweet friend."☺ That simple act of kindness made me smile!

Today I experienced something I never thought I would!  I was sealed to my parents for Time and All Eternity! I was very emotional to say the least!  I was trying to hold my emotions in and by so doing I was really worried I might snort when catching my breath...I've done that before.  I'm not sure if I did or not but I do know that I felt The Spirit and Many More at the Temple today!

When we were sitting with a sister in a room just making sure we had everything ready (which we didn't) I was overcome by a spirit...it was my daddy.  I looked over at Larry and his eyes were red and he was feeling him too.  My sweet momma was just concentrating so hard on what the sister was saying that she didn't recognize it....that's ok though....he was there.  I understand why the Temple asks you to come so early....it's so that when you don't have all the things you should they have time to help you with them.  My mom did go to the Temple and ask the people in the recorders office what she needed to do the work for my daddy and they gave her a few papers that only said she would need a  few recommends that she needed to get from her Bishop and the times and doors we needed enter.  I was sure that she needed a "card" with my dads name on it but from what they told her I'm sure she thought it was all taken care of.  I even asked last Tuesday when I went if I needed to do anything more so that I could be sealed to my parents after they were sealed.  The brother told me that everything would be ready....it wasn't but they did get it ready in time.  So thank goodness for the extra time and patient people helping us.

Oh...and Satan will do anything to try to stop Our Father's will from happening.  When my mom got to the Temple the recommend that she showed them was expired!  What?  Thank goodness she needed a new one for this living ordinance...she was good....but oh wow...almost not.

Larry was proxy for my daddy and we all had escorts to make sure we "didn't get lost".  I felt pretty special.  Larry told me that his most spiritual part was in the new name booth...the spirit was super strong there.  It was super strong everywhere.  When we entered the Chapel and took our seats on the second or third bench the brother in charge approached us and said that it was requested that Larry and I be the witnesses.  (I have no idea how that happened)  So we gladly said that we would be.  When we went to the endowment room I found it quite interesting that the young man that followed Larry into the room left a chair between him and Larry.  I wonder if he saw my dad there ... it was for my daddy which made me smile.  Some time shortly after the endowment started I was overwhelmed by the Spirit!  I knew my grandma Bessie (my mom's mom) was there and that my dad's parents and sister were there as well.  There were so many angels there and I wasn't sure who they all were...then I had the "thought" that many were spirits that haven't come to this earth yet.  That makes so much sense...the "LINK" happening today mattered to them as well.  Sealings are so important!

It was a wonderful, spiritual session.  The spirit spoke to me and I learned so much. We had time to contemplate before the sealing happened.  After spending some time in the Celestial Room we decided to go wait in a Sealing Room.  We could talk more there without disturbing others.  I shared with my mom some of the things I experienced.  She was happy to hear that so many angels were with us and that her momma was.  I thanked my mom for choosing to do this work for my daddy.  My mom and daddy had discussed it before he passed and they both chose to have this done.  I thanked her for changing her mind from a few years back.  She didn't remember but she told me that she was just fine with being an administering angel for the eternities.  I would have had her and my dad sealed if she hadn't chose to do so but it's nicer knowing that she wanted this.  I complimented her on enduring some tough times and staying together...we all have to do that.  I couldn't thank her enough and told her that her and my dads decision affected many, many souls.  I felt so blessed.

The sealing room had about 18 people there to show their love and support to my mom.  I appreciated seeing Justin, Natalie and Jaydan there.  The other kids were either out of town or just couldn't make it.  I was okay with that because I know that each of them are happy for this.  Again the Spirit was so strong.  I lost control when it was my turn to go to the Alter.  I can't even describe all the feelings going through me that I was trying so hard to contain...and not doing very good at.  It was wonderful and draining.  I felt peace when it was over....wonderful, serene, peace.  Oh Happy Happy Day!
When we got home our mail was scattered on our bed.  A cute little envelope caught my eye and I wondered what is was.  I noticed my name and tried remembering if I had ordered something then I thought: "it's from Julie".  I didn't see the return label until after I had opened the envelope and read the card.  It was from my sweet, thoughtful friend Julie.  Tears immediately spilled from my eyes at the thoughtfulness and timing of this gift.  Then I just smiled and laughed as I read each heart and her card.  She gave me a "heart attack" through the mail.  What a blessing each of my wonderful friends are to me...what a blessing Julie is to me!  Today was seriously one of the best days ever!

It's Been a Year

So many Emotions running through my soul today!  Happy, Sad, Excited, Anxious, Heart Broken, Blessed..... Last year my daddy passed through the veil and left those of us here with lots of wonderful memories.  Oh how I miss this daddy of mine.  I text this to my siblings today: MY HERO...."You held my hand when I was small, you caught me when I fell, you're the hero of my childhood and my later years as well. And every time I think of you, my heart still fills with pride though I'll always miss you daddy dear, I know you're by my side.  In laughter and in sorrow, in sunshine and through rain, I know you're watching over me until we meet again."  My daddy was a good daddy!  He was a wonderful provider, an honest man, hard worker, mellow, loving, kind, quiet, caring and just plain wonderful.  He truly is My Hero!!!
My thoughts have wondered back to last year when we were able to help keep my daddy comfortable while he was preparing to pass.  Part of me hated those days.  I so wished that the doctors could do more and help him get strong again...it made me so sad that the decision was made to go home so he could pass.  I am pretty darn sure it made my dad sad too....he was coherent and didn't feel like he had a say at that point....that broke my heart.  Part of me loved those days.  My brothers and sister were all at my parents and we all worked together to help my mom and dad.  I loved watching my brothers interact with their nieces and nephews and chase them around the yard.  We had lots of fun memories during that time.  We all loved and supported each other and it felt good.
My kids were so kind and gentle with their grandpa.  They would come and rub his hands and comb his hair because he really enjoyed that.  I would rub his feet everyday until just a few days before he passed when it no longer felt good to him.  I loved that I was able to soothe him those last weeks and that it was my "job" to rub his feet.
I loved all the love that was shown and felt during those times.  I really think it bound our family even closer.  I know that we can all count on each other.  I loved sleeping in my dads bed so that I could be close if I was needed.  I was so worried that I would be the only one not there when he passed because of my responsibilities.  My family was great and supported me so that I could be at my parents during those week.
I love that my kids came to be by their grandpa and make some last memories of him.  It was hard seeing my strong daddy become weak and helpless...but he was always grateful for everyone's help and expressed it while he could.
I love that I was there when my daddy took and exhaled his last breath.  I was standing in front of him and Jaydan and Braxton were there and so was my little brother.  It was peaceful and I remember holding my breath waiting to see if he was going to catch another breath and when he didn't I slowly exhaled my breath and said a silent prayer thanking my Heavenly Father for allowing me to be there. The others were close and joined us and we stood around my daddy  and a prayer was said by Jaydan. I'm so glad we have a Heavenly Father to bless and comfort us...He truly did!
So Now Today on My Daddy's Angelversary we are  doing his Temple Work and Sealing Him to my mom.......and I get to be sealed to them too! Larry get's to his proxy which I think is so cool. I'm so Happy and also a little sad....I so wish my brothers and sister could be there too.  I truly never believed this day would happen but my daddy told my mom to go ahead and do his work when she could after he passed.  I'm glad it's happening on his Angelversary...it adds Sunshine to a Cloudy Day!
Oh Happy Happy Day!

Babies make a Busy Day Fun

Waking Up to the Little's is Pretty Wonderful!  We are having a cousin sleepover with these two this week.  Kevin and Julie took Kamryn on a cruise Wednesday and so we get to enjoy Jordyn until Sunday night. A few weeks ago Braxton looked at our calendar and asked if we could watch Sadie too.  Him and Kelsi got a trip to Las Vegas and would rather not drag Sadie along.  I wasn't sure how we would do having two little ones so little.  There was still other things on the calendar as well.  Kimi said she would help in the evenings since I have SNAP and the Temple this week.  I'm so thankful for my kids and their help....they are so good.  So we agreed and have two cutie pies at our house.

I love having them and I love that they reach for me when I'm around.  That makes my gramma heart smile. ☺  I did take them each to day care today because I had bowling and besides I think it's good for them to have their normal schedule as much as possible.  They enjoy daycare and both of them reached for their teachers when I took them.  They each made me smile when they turned and reached again for me and wanted me to take them back.  I don't feel bad leaving them though because I know they are loved and taken care of and do well with their schedules.

I was happy to pick them up though and see their cute smiles again.  Sadie and Jordyn are such cute babies and are pretty good.  Kimi does a great job getting Sadie Lou to sleep and I really appreciate her for that.  Both babies sleep through the night.....Big Bonus!
Tonight for SNAP our cute friends from Heartbound came and did a program for us.  Two of them spoke to the group about being so special and how they make those around them feel so good and loved.  The other one talked about being positive and looking for the good things.  The Spirit was strong and felt wonderful!  I love these ladies and the message they share along with their testimonies.  Larry, Carla and Robin came with me tonight.  I was glad they were there and able to get a feel for what I get to experience all the time. It was fun to share this night with them.
Carla took Larry and I for pizza after since none of us were able to eat before.  Carla is a sweetie and a wonderful friend. Robin drove separate and went home.

My Best Bowling Day

My Best Bowling Day

Today I bowled better than I ever have.  I reached my average every single game and I don't think I have ever done that.  All three games were good.  I started off with a 203!  That game should have been higher but after throwing my first ball in the 10th frame and hitting 9 pins which put me over 200 I got so excited that I missed the last pin standing. (it was the 10 pin which is hard for me regardless)  I don't think I have gotten a 200 game for a few years and so I was very happy.  Usually after a good game I blow it and can't bowl good again but today for some reason I was able to get a 163 the second game and a 177 the third!  Woot Woot!  Giving me a total of 543!  That's really good for me and so of course I wanted to document it!  It may never happen again, so there ya go!

Wednesday

Lunch with Mya

Today Hooper Elementary invited Grandparents to eat lunch with their cute grands.  Mya was so excited which made me so excited.  She didn't like the lunch choices and so she brought her lunch.  I knew she was bringing her lunch so I brought mine too....in a brown paper sack.  For those of you that might not know that's how we took lunches to school when I was a kid...which by the way I never did.  I always ate school lunch.

It was fun having lunch with my cute girl and all the other grandparents and kids.  The PTA at Hooper is doing such a good job.  They work so hard....I know because for many years I served in the PTA. (president elect first, then president, then secretary, then something with less responsibility...the Principle noticed I was fading out.  I had fun serving while I did.)

I enjoyed the little time Mya and I had together. I even stayed out with her on the playground until it was time for her class to go back inside.  I sure do love my cute grands.  I'm happy that the schools do things that include the grandparents every now and then.

Tuesday

Taggart's for Lunch

The "Sista's" met for lunch today and we went to Taggart's.  The food is yummy but the treats are the best ever!  Carla and I shared a piece of carrot cake...a $5.99 piece of carrot cake.  It was huge and we still have half of it left.  It's the frosting that makes it so delicious and Taggarts adds almond to their cream cheese frosting...yumm!  I kind of really like these gals!  Actually I really, really like these gals!  Truth is...I love these gals!  Good Friends care about each other no matter where you are on your journey.  Good Friends listen to each other and support each other.  I know that I could count on each of these gals at any time and I'm pretty sure they know they can count on me.

I love the memories we have of our lunches at Taggarts.  I believe today is the first time that I didn't use the men's restroom there and that's because I didn't use any restroom.  We enjoy the peacocks and love watching them wander around...they're pretty.
In the picture of Jodi and Kathy at the treat counter I love that I caught Jodi laughing out loud!  We do that alot.  I also love that there is an "orb...angel"  on her head right by her face.  I like to believe that it is Davaleen.  I'm sure she is still very close by...I miss her!  I am so blessed!
