Boating with Trichelle's family

Since we don't all fit in our boat anymore, we decided to start taking one family out at a time so we can enjoy the boat.  Larry took Kimi and Jared last week while I was gone and they had fun.  I have always loved having a boat until this year.  That is because I was focusing on the "change" that we all couldn't go together.  When Larry suggested taking out one family at a time I got excited about it.  This was our first outing.  There are "perks" to being the first born. ☺
Everyone had a great time.  The kids loved riding in the boat and swimming.  The water was warm and the outside temps were close to 100.  I got in to cool off and then got my  cover up wet to stay cool.
I guess when you get old enough that you don't have to wear a life jacket, you can wear it however you want.  My boys looked like big babies in diapers!  They both complained a little after jumping off the tower into the water.  Wearing the life jacket like that kind of hurt. ☺
Trichelle's favorite boating fun is the tube.  Her kids wouldn't decide and so she did.  Zaden was kind of nervous at first so Larry took them slow.  He got a little more comfortable and gave the "thumbs up" sign to speed up a little.  This is one time that Larry can be trusted.  He doesn't want to scare anyone that doesn't want to be.  The rides got a little wilder when Trichelle, Jared and Kimleighel rode by themselves.  They each got a few good "pops" but no one fell off.  One of the times we were going over the waves the boat was bouncing and thumping pretty good and it made Zaden nervous.  He was kind of funny asking "what's that...what's that?"  TJ made sure to be by him after that.

The water was so smooth and wonderful.  Larry was watching the sky change though and soon the wind hit and the water changed.  Everyone was getting off the water.  I was so glad that Jaydan was able to get the trailer so that Larry could control the boat.  The little marina was packed with boats and I was nervous even though I wasn't having to do anything.

I use to put the boat in and take it out all by myself but it scares me to death now.  Larry said it was probably because we have a bigger boat now.  I think that's part of it but I have also had a few scares over the years.  So, I'm thankful for my big kids that help!  Maybe that's another reason I was excited about taking a family with us when we go out...I can relax!

Fun With Kellie

I took Kellie to lunch for her birthday today!  She chose a new little place out in Plain City.  It's called Roylies  and is owned by a cute young couple for England.  We both had chicken cordon bleu sandwiches.  They were really yummy.  They came with homemade potato chips too.  I will need to go back to that place.  Kellie and I think they need to put some "air" in there though.  We both got hot at different times.

We went shopping to Kohl's afterwards.  I am not a shopper but I know Kellie is and so I enjoyed watching her.  I learned a few pointers.  I don't think Kellie thought I was enjoying myself but really I was.  I was starting to get a back ache though and my face or countenance must have showed it.  Kellie had some gift cards and coupons and was able to get a cute purse, blouse, dress and shoes.  She said she will probably take some of it back.  I don't understand that, I really dislike returning things.  I usually will give something away instead of taking it back.

We had a fun time together.  I love this girl and I'm so thankful that we are in each others lives now.

Temple

I'm addicted to this place.  I didn't make it last week and felt the void.  I'm not going to be able to go with my friends this week since I will be enjoying some of my cute grands so I got up and went this morning.  I did initiatory because I love hearing the blessings and promises.  After my first card was finished there weren't people waiting in the waiting room and so I got another card and went through again.

I like feeling the spirit of Christ and I always do when I am in the Temple.  As I went through today I had the thought that I should make the Temple part of my morning routines.  I think instead of just attending once a week I am going to shoot for two or three.  I think it's where I'm suppose to be at this time of my life.  I don't think I could be doing anything better.

Today while I was going through I had a sister that seemed so serious.  I looked her in her eyes and smiled.  I smiled the whole time and her face didn't change.  The next time I was face to face with her I continued smiling and I saw her eyes light up and her mouth twitched and a smile appeared very briefly but it was there.  The next time she looked much more pleasant and complimented me.  She said I had a wonderful smile. ☺  I think smiling improves everyone's face value!  Before I left another sister told me I had a pleasant face. ☺ She said she didn't know of anyone that could hold a smile the entire time.  It's a trait I would love to be remembered for.  Smiling is My Favorite...I really do love to Smile!
