Girl's Get-a-Way

Kalie was in town and since a few of mine and Tonya's girls thought it would be fun to have a girls weekend we decided this was a good time to do it.  It ended up not being the best time to do it but we did it anyway with those that could make it.  We met at a Hotel Friday night in Park City and talked all night.  We talked a lot about "Dressing Your Truth" and discovering Your Individual Type of Beauty and Personality  .  I had heard about this while on the Alaskan Cruise from Kathy.  It is really interesting and more than anything helps us understand why others are like they are.  I think so often we try to form or mold others to be like us or how we think they should be.  This book and information talks about differences and how we are the way we are.  We need to accept others for their differences and when we understand them it is so much easier.

It was fun discussing which type fit us.  There were five of us in the room and all of us had strengths in different areas. (however in this book there are only 4 types....try to figure that out) ☺ We laughed a lot while Kimleighel expressed her type to us.  Kimleighel is a character and before we visited Kalie thought she was a different personality type but quickly learned otherwise.  I loved our Friday night together.

Saturday we went to the outlets.  I didn't enjoy the outlets as much has I have in the past.  Maybe it's because we needed to get things and didn't just enjoy looking.  The only things I even thought I'd get is a few things for Kimleighel and Jared to start school.  Kimleighel found some shirts that made her happy and I found a few shirts and a pair of pants for Jared.  I also bought Larry a pair of pants since it seems I don't keep up with them in the wash lately.  I might only be doing wash every other to 3rd day and he runs out.  Trichelle got her kids clothes and that's about the fun of it.

We met Amity for lunch and after lunch Kalie had to leave to head back to Colorado.  We didn't spend much time with Amity since we got the things we needed already and Trichelle wasn't feeling good.  We went to a fun store with her and I got me some Honeycomb Candy.  It was a fun store and would have been nice to look a little longer.  I couldn't even try the Honeycomb until I got home because I was so full from lunch.

I am glad I got to spend time with my girls and Tonya and a few of her girls.  We had a good time and it was worth taking the time to make it happen.  I love making memories with my kids.  Kimleighel has been expressing her love for me lots since. ☺
