So Many Broken Hearts

A gal that made a difference...that loved and served everyone....that was loved by everyone she met...that was one of the Best to Ever be Born....Buffey Andrews.  Buffey passed away during her sleep early this morning...the way we all hope to pass from this life.  Buffey woke up on the other side of the veil and I like to imagine her doing so.  Thinking of her expressions and maybe a comment or two make me smile.  Buffey Made a Difference in This World!  Her "dash" was filled with listening, teaching, serving, doing, laughing, blessing others.  I consider Buffey a great friend.  We never went to lunch, we never visit taught each other but I knew she loved me and cared about me as I did her. (we did attend a few plays together)  We laughed and joked and shared our testimonies with each other.  I am going to miss checking the bench at church to see if she is there.  I loved watching her...she glowed!  I am going to miss hearing her sing, and hearing her testimony, and hearing her express her feelings of frustration, and her feelings of joy.

I received many calls today asking if it was really true?  It doesn't feel true.  It feels like a bad dream that our whole ward is having...I wish it were only a bad dream.  I'm happy for Buffey....I know she's happy!  I bet she had no idea the impact she had on so many....but I think she might know now.  I'm thankful to call this sweet gal my friend!  Life isn't going to be the same without her....she was such a blessing!

Lantzen's Home

Kind of a crazy day.  We learned of Buffey's passing this morning which kind of makes everything blurry.  McKay Wilding was speaking before he left for his mission to Russia and an hour later Lantzen was speaking about his mission.  I chose to attend Lantzen's report.  Mallory is like family to me and I know that their friends are like their family too. Neither Glen or Mal have family close by and so I wanted to go and support them.  I love Mal and her family.  I love Lantzen who just happens to be a terrific kid in every way.  Lantzen has always been so happy and kind and super talented.  He served a wonderful mission and I'm glad we chose to support him.  Our ward was there for each other and for the Andrew family and the Wildings have a ton of support so I'm sure I made the right choice.  I'm so thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I'm so thankful for Wonderful Friends.

Sunday Stealings part two

Would You Rather Meme, part two
Stolen from: Sign Up Genius Go HERE to play along.
  1. Would you rather go to a movie or to dinner alone? A movie...most people wouldn't even know if you were there alone but many would know if you were at dinner alone....I wouldn't like that.
  2. Would you rather always say everything on your mind or never speak again? say what's on my mind.  I would be lost if I couldn't speak.  Sometimes I talk too much and others may wish I couldn't.
  3. Would you rather make a phone call or send a text? these days I usually text before calling...however, I miss chatting on the phone.
  4. Would you rather read an awesome book or watch a good movie? hmmmm?  I guess read a book...books always seem so much better than the movie made from the book.  But I do enjoy watching a good movie every  now and then as well.
  5. Would you rather be the most popular person at work or school or the smartest? I'd rather be remembered for being kind and friendly than for being smart.
  6. Would you rather put a stop to war or end world hunger? both...I'm not going to think too hard on this question because both are heart breaking.
  7. Would you rather spend the night in a luxury hotel room or camping surrounded by beautiful scenery? I would rather spend the night in a luxury hotel room that is in the middle of the mountains.
  8. Would you rather explore space or the ocean? The ocean....animals interest me more than the starts but I love them too.
  9. Would you rather go deep sea diving or bungee jumping? Deep sea diving....I would feel more in control.  Bungee jumping takes more trust that I don't have.
  10. Would you rather be a kid your whole life or an adult your whole life? I guess I have been a kid my whole life even as an adult....it's worked for me.
  11. Would you rather go on a cruise with friends or with your spouse? My hubby....hands down!  I don't think I would enjoy a cruise without my hubs.
  12. Would you rather lose your keys or your cell phone? my cell phone.
  13. Would you rather eat a meal of cow tongue or octopus? YUCK! probably octopus but don't tell me first.
  14. Would you rather have x-ray vision or magnified hearing? Ewwww....my little spy child just woke up....both are intriguing.  If x-ray vision means seeing through clothes I wouldn't like that...if it means seeing through buildings that might be fun.  Magnified hearing might be a bit too much in a crowded place but in a quieter place it could be fun.  So I can't decide ....
  15. Would you rather work in a group or work alone? I think working in a group is always much more fun than working alone!
