We woke up bright and early. Not to celebrate the 4th of July or to go watch a parade. No, we woke up to go pull weeks at TJ Trailers storage lot! Woo Hoo! The only reward was that each of us were paid for doing it. I guess to get away from weeding on a Holiday the secret is to leave town. We've pulled weeds a few years on the 4th of July and many times on Memorial. (I dislike weeds)
Some friends called to see if Larry and I would like to join them for 9 rounds of golf and even though it would have been fun Larry was stressing about his talk for this Sunday. He hadn't started it and this week looks busy and so we declined.
I was able to finish and print my blog book for the first half of 2016 and so I was extremely happy about that. Natalie invited us to the Clearfield Fireworks and I decided I was going to go. I love Fireworks and wanted to do something to celebrate this day. Since Larry's talk is on marriage he decided that he should come with me. He would have rather stayed home to try to memorize his talk. Even though he memorizes his talks, when he gives them he goes from the heart but all the knowledge can quickly be recovered.
It was fun visiting with some of Natalie's sisters and watching all the interesting people around us. I wonder what other's think of us when we walk by. There was a ghost on the swings for quite some time. I'm not joking. There were four to six swings and only one of them was moving. It was consistent for probably 20 minutes. It actually made me smile. It had stopped moving before children ran over to swing on it and the others.
We were a block away from the park where they were lighting off the fireworks but we were still able to hear Alex Boye sing some songs. He had performed earlier at the High School and then again before the fireworks. The fireworks were fantastic and the grand finale was the best I'd ever seen! It made my heart happy and I'm glad that I chose to go. I am very thankful for the Freedoms We Enjoy!
