My Sister/Friend

Yesterday while I was doing things I felt impressed to call Tonya and see what she was doing for Spring Break and asked if she had any time to get together.  She told me that she could Today and I was thrilled when she mentioned going to the Temple together.  I hadn't told her but I was going to make sure I went today anyway.  It was awesome spending time in the Temple with my sweet Tonya!  We were in room number 1 and it's my favorite.  The sun was shining through the stain glass windows and was simply glorious!  They put shades down to darken the room for the movie and I was hoping they would raise them again before we left but that didn't happen.  We visited in the Celestial Room for quite awhile.  I love just sitting in the Temple and feeling the spirit and feeling the love that is so strong there.  I love, love, love the Temple.  It's my season in life that I get to go.
We walked over to the Blue Lemon after and enjoyed a yummy lunch and good conversation.  I love when you get to visit with someone and you count on the Holy Ghost to enlighten your thoughts.  Tonya and I always have those kind of visits.  We share, listen and inspire each other.  It's so nice having someone to do that with.  I love my sister/friend.  Tonya was also with me on the top bunk that day Susan received her priesthood blessing.  We have grown up together and are going to grow old together.  Tonya is such a wonderful person in every way.  She's honest, caring, talented, nice, direct, compassionate, and loving in every way.  She certainly is a blessing to me and my family!

A Recipe

This Month I want to share a really easy but really yummy Chicken/Pasta Dish.

You need 3-4 chicken breasts cooked and cubed, 2-14 oz cans of Italian Diced Tomatoes, 1 envelope of Lipton Savory Herb & Garlic Soup mix, Bow Tie pasta and shredded Parmesan Cheese.

Mix soup mix and tomatoes and cooked chicken and heat all the way through.   Cook bow tie pasta according to package. Mix it all together and sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese!
Lemon Desert

1 1/2 cubes margarine, 1 1/2 cups flour, 3/4 cups chopped nuts, 1-8 oz softened cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, 1-12 oz cool whip (save some for topping), 1-6 oz pk instant lemon pudding, and 3 cups milk.

Blend margarine, flour, and nuts with pastry blender or forks and pat firmly in a 9x13 pan.
Bake 15 minute at 350....cool

Mix: cream cheese, powdered sugar, and cool whip and spread over the cooled crust.  Refrigerate.

Mix lemon pudding and milk and spread over the cream cheese layer.  Let set for 2 hours.  Put left over cool whip on top and Enjoy!

About Me

When I was young my favorite toy was always a baby doll.  The very first doll I remember getting was a Pebble's doll.  I remember asking Santa for a doll and I told him I didn't care what kind except probably that it should be a baby doll.  It was a cute doll and Tonya always liked it too. (she told me that just this year)

I loved playing house and being a mommy.  That's all I ever wanted to be when I grew up and I got a lot of practice from the time I was very small.  I remember dragging my stuffed dog and taking my dolls to Tonya's house.  I loved her doll.  It was life size and felt and looked like a real baby.  We spent hours playing dolls.

I remember playing in the top of our garage.  We moved things around and created a little house so we could take care of our "children".  I know I had many dolls throughout my childhood.
I remember having these two dolls as well.  Oh how I loved my baby dolls and being the mommy!

Monday

The Ghost Team

About a month ago one of the ladies at bowling asked me if I thought I could make a stuffed ghost to represent the "ghost team".  The ghost team is the opposing teams scores minus ten from their average.  We have an odd number of teams and so a "ghost team" is needed so everyone can still bowl each week.  Really you just bowl against yourselves and if you get your average no biggie because the ghost team takes 10 pins below your average.  Any way...Carla and I got together today and we came up with a few cute ghost.  Carla couldn't figure out how I was going to make them stand but I had it figured out in my head and it worked!  I think they turned out pretty cute and now Carla and I are even thinking we might want to make some for Halloween!  I'm pretty sure the gal that asked me to make them is going to be pretty happy with the results...they are "boo-tiful"!

Sunday

Sadie's Blessing

Today was such a wonderful day.  Sadie was blessed by her sweet daddy.  I was so proud of Braxton as he gave his cute baby a blessing.  It was a very proud momma moment for me to see my boys participating in the circle for the blessing.  Braxton gave Sadie a wonderful blessing. I loved that he blessed her to have Sunshine...I can't quite remember how he worded it but it made me smile.
The weather was perfect spring weather.  It was nice visiting with the family afterwards at our house.  I'm so proud of Braxton and Kelsi.  They are doing a wonderful job at parenting and living like the Savior would want them to.

I was able to share my testimony with my family today.  I sure do love each and every one of them and I'm so glad that I get to spend eternity with them all!  Right Now is Good!

(oh and  I received another calling today.  I get to teach the class the Braxton and Kelsi were teaching..the 6 year olds.  I accepted the call because SNAP is winding up and I will have a few months off.  I don't plan on continuing though when it starts back up but who knows- maybe I will want to.  When I was called to work in the SNAP program I was told it was a Stake Calling and that I needed to be released from my ward calling.  For some reason because I haven't been serving in the ward I was added to the available list. Even though SNAP is a Stake Calling it doesn't get the credit of a Stake calling..the other Stake Leaders would never be put on the available list.  I was a bit bugged.  I spend 2 1/2 hours a week away from my family each week to fulfill my calling in SNAP. I am the counselor over girls camp which is coming up in July which I will be actively involved in and during the year I take my turn at being over activities.  I'm pretty sure that's a little more time spent on my calling than some other callings in our ward that don't serve on Sundays....such as:  scout leader or activities day person, or RS activity committee member, or visiting teaching coordinator  etc...  I'm not sure I should have stood up for myself and this calling or not but I did.  I know SNAP is where I'm suppose to be.  I hope I feel that way with my new calling as well.  I know I will enjoy serving these children since I love children and I love primary...just not sure why it happened.)

Saturday

Nothing Better

I got to be the lucky one to tend little Sadie today.  Her mommy had to go back to work and since it was a Saturday they asked me to tend.  What a sweet little one Sadie is.  She is also a very wiggly little one.  Even while she sleeps her little legs move and she stretches a lot.  She's so tiny!  I enjoyed our little visits while she was awake and I hope she didn't mind that I watched her while she slept.  I loved just looking at every single part of her...she's so perfect and cute!  Every single life is such a miracle.  I still marvel at how perfect and complete these little ones are.  Babies are such blessings to this world, such blessing to my world.  They bring such a spirit of joy with them.  I'm so thankful for every little one that has blessed to our family.  Oh how I love them! ♥

Friday

Celebrating Friends

What a fun day it was today....celebrating friends on their actual birthdays! Lorraine and Tammy have birthdays the same day and are the same age.

The Hooper Honey's went to lunch for Lorraine's birthday. (we went to Red Robin)  We laughed a lot and for some reason I talked and shared a lot. It was such a fun get together.  We missed Kelli and Crystal...when the others aren't able to be with us they really are missed.  Tammy came prepared today with Balloons, a table cloth and a funny gift....a Fart Book!  It was funny and brought tears to my eyes when Lorraine showed me a page with a Moose Call Fart. (when Larry hears or see's any kind of Moose he always thinks of Lorraine...the page was appropriate)  I brought Lorraine a head band with pony tails that said party girl and went well with the party crown Tammy brought.  I also brought a light up star wand that made Lorraine  laugh out loud!  She's fun to celebrate and party with!
I got to watch my grands when I got home.  I had them for a few hours before Larry came home and I left again.  We played outside for awhile.  The kids love playing on our playground..which makes me really happy.  Macie loves being outside.  We came in and watched a Land Before Time Movie.  It was fun having Mya on my lap, and Parker right next to me.  Macie just played but after awhile she too joined my lap!  My "littles" make my heart smile!  They are so enjoyable.  I fed them and changed Macie  so they were ready for Larry and Jared to watch them. What Cuties!
I picked up Judy and Suzie and we headed up to Kent's to meet Tammy.  Tammy chose Texas Roadhouse for her Birthday Dinner.  There was constant chatter from the get go.  I didn't talk as much at dinner because there is so much talk from the others.  It's nice every once in awhile to just listen and observe.  We had a riot celebrating Tammy.  We had a wonderful conversation on our way home and in the parking lot.  Tammy does Energy Work and she worked on Judy's throat for a bit.  It was so funny as we watched only Judy's side of the windshield steam up.  The built up energy was being released.  I know some people think that kind of thing is crazy but I don't.  I know that our bodies and minds are much more capable of doing big things that we just don't allow. (mostly because we don't know or believe) I also know that the key source of the energy is our Heavenly Father. Energy work is a spiritual thing. Anything and Everything is possible with the help of Heavenly Father! What a fun, spiritual night!

I really enjoyed being able to celebrate Lorraine and Tammy on their birthdays.  It was so much fun helping them celebrate their births and making fun memories with them both.

The grands had just left before I got home and Larry was still awake which was nice.  I like coming home with him still up.  I love that Larry is okay with me leaving every once in awhile in the evenings to be with friends that aren't able to go during the day.  Larry is such a great guy!

SNAP

Today Carla made my family dinner since she was already making it for another family.  She is so sweet.  I helped her out by taking a bunch of her stuff to the DI on my way to SNAP.  I think we both made each others day a little better. (Carla always makes my day better...what a blessing she has become to me)

At SNAP a ward came and helped our girls decorate cupcakes.  The girls enjoyed it.  Heck, I think our girls enjoy just about everything.  They always seem so happy and appreciative.   Well...most of them.  Kay was kind of grumpy and wasn't very nice to a few people.  I heard her cuss a few times.  I tried complimenting her and cheering her up but she was just on one.  Nikki, the gal I drive home every week told me that Kay scares her.  I know why and advised Nikki to just stay away from Kay so she wouldn't be hurt or offended.  Oh the Joy of Differences!

Food 4 Thought Friday ~ This week's questions:
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Breakfast ~ If you could travel back in time, what year would you go to and why? hmmmm....I'm not sure of the year but probably back to when I started doubting myself and not feeling "good enough".  I struggled with my self esteem most of my life and if I knew when that started I would go back and work through it so I wouldn't have carried it with me so long.

Lunch ~ If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one quality or ability, what would it be? I would love to wake up and be able to sing!  Oh how I wish I could sing!

Dinner ~
If a crystal ball could tell you the truth about the future or anything else, what would you want to know?  If everything I believe and teach to others is true.  I would love to see how my kids and grands and even myself turn out.  Just typing this makes me realize that i don't need a crystal ball  because deep in my heart I already know the answer. ☺
Midnight Snack ~ What is something you know you need to begin but keep making excuses for? getting rid of "stuff".  I start to throw away or clean out and then I become overwhelmed and put it off some more.  We have a lot of stuff we don't need but seem to love having around and hanging on to.

Recipe of the Week ~ (instead of your recipe for life what is it just for the week?)  Be Kind Always!  It's funny how kindness is contagious!  This week I had a friend make me dinner because she was making dinner for someone else and just thought she might as well include my family too while she was at it.  By that kindness I started thinking of what kindness I could do for someone else.  And then the thought even crossed my mind that perhaps my kindness had influenced my friend.  I believe kindness is like a circle ...it just keeps going around once you are caught up in it! Kindness Does Matter!

Kathy's Birthday Lunch

While I was in Hawaii my cute friend Kathy turned "55"....YIKES!  I'm right behind her and I am remembering when that seemed old.  Kathy is such a beautiful person...inside and out.  I look at her and marvel at her beauty and youth.  She is aging really well!  Speaking of aging really well....today at bowling my cute friend Mary had a birthday. Mary turned 91 and is still bowling and looking very classy.  I think the secret to staying healthy is getting up and getting ready for the day and staying active.

While Mallory and Kathy and I were at lunch they both received calls.  I laughed and had to take a picture.  No wonder our lunches last for hours. Sometimes being available 24-7 is annoying.  Later I had to make a call though and Kathy was quick to capture me with her camera. ☺I love these two!
Because I take pictures which help me remember our lunches it also makes me remember what we wear. I remember that quite often Mallory and Kathy show up in the same colors...like today and there I am in something very different.  It happens a lot but isn't that bad because I get to sit in the middle to off set the colors.  I tease them about coordinating with each other and forgetting to tell me.

It's so much fun having lunch with these two.  It's so fun celebrating our lives with each other.  I am so very blessed!

Wednesday

Bye Bye Sister Wright

Cute Sister Wright finally received her Visa so she is able to go to the Mission she was called to. (Brazil...not sure the exact mission)  She has served in Hooper for a few months while waiting for her visa and has been such a "light".  The gal is always smiling and is so positive.  She is such a beauty and wonderful example.  She is truly a disciple of Christ and radiates His Light!  It's been a pleasure knowing her.

Larry and I took the Sisters to lunch....our last supper with them.  It's fun having sister missionaries and being involved with them.  The sisters stopped by after lunch for a few minutes and I was able to express to them the things I have observed.  These two sisters are always smiling.  I can feel their goodness.  They are most certainly instruments of our Lord and Savior.
Larry is really into missionary work right now and helping others come back to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  I wish he would have talked to the people in this truck before they pulled out of the parking lot.  I would have liked to have heard their story.

Tuesday

Count Your Blessings

There is so much in our life to be thankful for~yet, so often our focus is on our hardship and trials.  By taking time each week to focus on our blessings I know we will notice a positive change in our lives.  Even in our trials there are blessing....we need to look for them.

One blessing I am grateful for today. I am grateful for the Birth Days of each member of my family.  I love their "days" and love reminiscing about their life.
An experience I have had that was a blessing to me. When Trichelle came and told us she was expecting her second child.  My heart opened up more and it's as if the love I had for her grew bigger.  I think I understand "unconditional" love a bit better.  I also got a glimpse of the love our Heavenly Father has for each of us.
One Gospel Principle that is a blessing to me. Prayer!  I pray often throughout every day.  I love knowing that I am heard by my Heavenly Father.
Something I have done to bless another. Each day on social media I post a positive quote or thought.  I have had quite a few people tell me what a blessing that is to them and how it really does make a difference.
Who was a blessing to me this week? My visiting teachers were.  I love the love they have for me and that they aren't afraid to express it.

Monday

Celebrating Kimleighel

What a fun day it was celebrating Kimleighel's birth with her.  All Kimi wanted this year for her birthday was to spend the day with me.  She had it planned for probably a year.  She knew exactly what she wanted and I was more than happy to oblige.  We did our traditional singing early in the morning with the family and Kimleighel did get a gift.  Then while the boys went to work and school Kimi and I got ready for our day.  Kimi was so excited and I was too!
We decided to go to lunch first but needed to waste a little time first since Kimleighel did not want to be the first people in the restaurant.  We ended up at JoAnn's for awhile and then went to Chili's where Kimi had chosen to eat.  She ordered a steak.  The girl can put the food away but you would never know it by looking at her.  Kimi also wanted us each to order our own Lava Cake and I did tell our waitress that but she only brought out one.  I was so glad that's all she brought out because I knew I could never eat a whole one and really just wanted to share.  Kimi ended up being fine with that too since she was pretty full from her lunch. It was so fun being with Kimi....she was so happy and excited to be 19.  She kept laughing all day about being that old.  She talked about the next stage of her life that is quickly approaching with excitement.  She is excited to get married and start a family.  She is not excited about having to pay the bills but is very aware of all the responsibilities she will have.  It was so fun listening to her.

After lunch we headed for the Junction to watch a movie.  On our way I started laughing and said: "Hey there's Santa".  A bearded guy with red shorts and a red ball cap was walking across the street.  We laughed and Kimi tried getting her phone out to get his picture but  wasn't able to.  It was funny and I think it brightened Kimi's day even more.  Right after that though I about got us killed.  I looked at my light and moved into the intersection.  I was surprised when a truck came barreling through going the other way.  I looked up and it was me that was in the wrong.  My light was red.  It made me sick to my stomach as I backed up to where I should have been.  (our neighbor was just in a serious accident about 3 weeks ago doing the same sort of thing)  It wasn't a close call but it was scary especially since I had looked at my light and still went.  I was nervous the rest of the day and didn't trust myself but did just fine. (the thought sped through my mind of Kimleighel's birth date and death date being the same date.....not a happy thought at all)  We watched the movie, McFarland USA.  It was really good and now I want Larry and Jared to also see it.

After the movie we went to the Mall and Kimi knew just what she wanted.  She wanted some boots and jeans but ended up only getting the boots.  I got her a shirt to wear for her Senior Pictures which we are taking next week.  We looked around a few stores and then went up to my mom's to give her some candy bars that she had bought from Jared.  We had a nice little visit.
We got home the same time Larry and Jared did and only had to wait for a few minutes while Larry showered before going to dinner.  Kimleighel chose Iggy's for dinner and ordered a pizza.  Larry thought that was funny but I told him she had ate her big meal for lunch.  (we all brought left overs home)  Kimi was even okay with them singing to her.  She had told me all day not to say anything to anyone and I didn't.  However when the Hostess was seating us and asked what brought us out, I was caught off guard and so I told her I couldn't tell.  That's when Kimi said it was alright to tell. ☺ She didn't mind the attention and said that it was actually good.

Super Fun Day with this 19 year old Daughter of mine!  My how fast the time has gone!

Kimleighel is 19

Woo Hoo Kimleighel is a year older.  Her last year of being a teenager!  Those years seem to have gone fast now that we are where we are.  It's been an adventure with this girl as it has with every child.  Kimleighel is fun and talented and feisty and enjoyable and so loving.  This year all she wanted for her birthday was to spend time with me.  I'm not gonna lie...that totally made my day.  She has had it all planned for months, maybe even a year.  We are going to go to lunch and shopping and a movie and then to dinner with Larry.  I reminded her that there is a limit on what I spend and she said she'd pay for the extra's.  What a kid!  I'm looking forward to our day together.  I hope it's everything that Kimleighel has dreamed of.  I am so thankful for this daughter of mine that love's her momma.

Celebrating

It's the Relief Society's birthday and our Stake had a little celebration for it. We learned a little about each member of our Stake Presidency which was really fun and were able to do some service projects.  Kimi and I helped make book marks so that the missionaries can give them to investigators and new members.  It reminded me of when I was in Italy with Justin and his friend a member there gave me a metal book mark so that I would remember her.  They also had some other entertainment throughout the day while we worked on the service projects.  I was asked to be a part of a line dancing group but I was in Hawaii when they practiced and  and the next time they practiced I couldn't go either.  I'm glad I didn't because Kimi had planned some things that took time and we ended up sneaking out after making some bookmarks.
Kimi got her hair cut before the Relief Society party.  We went and bought dye so I could color it after attending the party. We also went to the credit union so Kimi would have money for her California Tour next week.  We came home and I dyed her hair before she went out with a friend to the movie.  I love that Kimleighel knows that Birthdays are to be celebrated...not only on the day of the birth.    It was fun spending the day with Kimleighel. It's fun for me that she likes spending time with me. It makes this mommy feel good!

Friday

Kathy O

We were suppose to have Book Club today but the others couldn't come and so Kathy and I decided to go play anyway. We kept our playing on 25th street today. We had lunch at LaFerovia and then strolled down 25th street looking for the building where Kathy's grandpa had a pharmacy.  I knew it had to be on the corner right by Wall Avenue since the address was 108 25th street.  The problem was that the building had been completely remodeled so it wasn't feeling familiar to Kathy at all.  We ended up stopping at pawn shop and talking to a guy I grew up with and he knew a lot about the stores on 25th street.  He even thought he might be able to find an old medicine bottle from Kathy's grandpa's pharmacy....she's hoping!  We went into a store where they do paint parties on canvas.  I like the idea but think it's a little pricey.  There is a place you can do ceramics too and I know a lot of mom's and kids go there.  Trichelle has taken her kids there but again I think it's a little more than I want to pay.  Kathy pushed me into an Adult Novelty shop and I spun myself around so fast and exited as Kathy stood there and laughed.
(I bought Honey Comb...there's a reason it's called that!  I love this candy it reminds me of my grandma Bessie and mom.)

I love Kathy so much....she is so much FUN!  When we first moved to Hooper, Kathy was the RS President and came to visit me.  I liked her right away.  I'm glad that we became friends.  We have so many fun memories together.  We have traveled to New York City a few times and have many memories that crack us up from those vacation.  We have played racket ball and tennis together.  We have went and supported our guys in the Senior Olympics and had a great time together at those events.  We have attended the Black Foot Fair together for over 17 years and have lots of fun memories there.  We both rode a Mechanical Bull one time at the fair and even had a video to remember it.  Kathy started a Book Club and invited me to be in it.  She also did a dancing with stars party for many years.  This girl is just fun!  I love spending time with Kathy...always so much fun!

Food 4 Thought Friday ~ This week's questions:

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Breakfast ~ If today was your last day on earth, what would you do right now? I would write my hubby, kids and grands a note expressing my love for them.  I would also want to write notes to my friends that matter so much to me.  I would leave a list of my passwords for my family so they could get on my blog, face book and email.  I would blog one last post expressing my love for life and God.  I would share some of the important things I have learned...the easy things that make life more enjoyable like: simplifying, smiling, positive thinking, trusting the Lord in all things, keeping the commandments and how they aren't restricting but freeing.  I would share about families and staying close to each other and always loving and supporting each other and honoring our differences instead of making fun of our differences.  I would pray for peace as I leave this world and enter the next. I would be Happy!

Lunch ~ How do you deal with stress?  It depends what is stressing me.  Sometimes I get frustrated and angry and no matter what is stressing me I usually cry.  I always pray and pray hard that I can find the positive and focus on the good...that I can accept the now and still feel peace.  Most of the time I eat...I'm a stress eater!  Usually the things I eat, my comfort foods are full of calories and not good for you but for some reason I find comfort in food.  I always talk about the stress in my life.  I'm sure when the stress involves my family they don't appreciate that I talk but I never try to put them down and will even express that.  I also feel that sharing the stress with others helps them realize that we all have "stuff" that stresses us out and no one is alone no matter how wonderful my life might appear to others.

Dinner ~ Name your top pet peeves.
*Dog Poop on our lawn since we don't own a dog....grrrrrrrr
* I despise chewed gum...it totally grosses me out.
* LDS Immodesty...when leaders preach about modesty but aren't
*When others don't clean up after themselves.
*The garbage left on the counter right above the garbage can (how hard is it to open and drop?)
*Letting stinkers in the bedroom.
*Being interrupted when I am reading or blogging
*Laundry not being brought down every day
*"poop" talk (any kind of talk about poop gags me)
"Being punctual
*Meaning what you say and being Honest (11)

Midnight Snack ~ When was the last time you did something just for yourself and what did you do? Monday I went and got a pedicure.  I just went by myself and enjoyed every minute of it.

Recipe of the Week ~ (instead of your recipe for life what is it just for the week?)  To Appreciate the Past and cherish all the wonderful memories.  Be glad you had the time with others that you did and the experiences that you had.  Even be glad for the challenges and the things you learned from them.  Cherish the Present!  Enjoy the ones you love and the health you have because things change so quickly. Make Fun Happen Every Day! Accept the Future....things will be different and maybe not like we planned (probably not) but we need to accept the things in store for us trusting in the Lord.

I'm Addicting

Being a human we have the tendency to have addictive behaviors.  When we like something we want more.  I think it's just part of being human.  Some of the things I have been addicted to that come to mind right off the bat are:  Chevron Cars...I started buying them when Jaydan was small and had to get everyone.  I still have those cars and notice that there have been many new ones made and a part of me still wanted to go buy them.  Rubber Stamps...I have hundreds...why?  because I was addicted to them.  I don't use many of the stamps I have but get panicked at the thought of getting rid of them.  I know I have had other addictions but those are the ones I thought of right away.

I didn't add chocolate to the list because like this picture says it is addicted to me....Chocolate finds ME...it wants ME, it loves being stored in my drawers and cupboards and consumed by ME and My Friends.  I feel blessed to be addicted by Chocolate.  I hope that I make Chocolate as Happy as Chocolate Makes Me.  I love being addicting....it makes me feel happy!  If you are not addicted to Chocolate you should be.  Chocolate makes you happy.  It calms a troubled heart.  It coats the mouth like nothing else can.  Chocolate changes life.  After you become addicted to Chocolate, Chocolate becomes addicted to You...and there is not many things in life that will make you feel better.

Thursday

A Juggler at SNAP

Tonight at Special Needs we had a Juggler come and perform.  The juggler was a fun guy and was silly as well as a good juggler.  Everyone seemed to really like him.  Nate, the juggler, used huge knifes and included a head of lettuce and made a "tossed" salad...there was lettuce everywhere. ☺  He juggled three apples while eating them too.  He also used carrots at one time.  I think the food was funny and even funnier as his young assistant would pick things up and eat them.  (his son was his assistant)  To top off the night we went outside and Nate juggled with fire....it was "hot". :)

Have I mentioned how much I enjoy this calling of mine?  It's so rewarding working with the Special Needs...they truly are extremely special.

Wednesday

Mal is my Pal

I love this pal of mine.  She is truly one of the best people on this earth.  I love our visits.  Today we met for lunch.  We were going to celebrate Kathy's birth but she wasn't feeling well and had to postpone.  Mal and I went anyway and our visit was perfect.  I love Mal's insight on things.  We talk about everything and actually share our testimonies with each other in a way.  I sat there a few times with tears in my eyes feeling so blessed to have such a wonderful friend.  I admire my friend so much.  Mal is so kind to everyone and is one of the best mom's I know.  Her focus is her family.  Because her focus is her family she has a very good one.  I love everyone of Mal's kids and her cute hubby.  They are just such a great example of how families should be.  It's been such a pleasure growing up with such a wonderful friend.  I ♥ Mal!

Tuesday

Celebrating Green Day...

I love Holidays and silly traditions like wearing green or getting pinched. I love playing with me friends and being silly.  I love making green dinner for my family.

Today the Fun Bunch met at the Greenery at Rainbow Gardens to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. I think it was the perfect place me meet on this day.☺  I know nothing about this Holiday except that involves the Irish and Green and Kisses and Rainbows.  I don't know why those mean anything at all but it's fun.  I have always enjoyed this silly little Holiday.
Kathy wasn't able to make it today and so she sent the "sunshine" face in her place.  We all brought something to share with each other.  I know a few of the gals think that's dumb but I think it's fun.  It's fun seeing what everyone comes up with.  I laughed when I saw what Jodi brought because if I could have found the colored licorice our gifts would have been the same.  The store I went to didn't have all the colors so instead of licorice I bought skittles to go with the gold I had.  Cheers to Friendship!
Rainbow Gardens is a great place for photo opportunities.  Everywhere you look there is something that could be used for a photo and we usually use a few. Rainbow Garden has some neat things but I think they are over priced.  My theory is price things so more of it sales and make your profit off many instead of pricing it high and making a profit off a few.  They must do okay since they have been in business for a long time.
This last week my motto has been Don't Worry Be Happy and today there was a cute display of Bee's and cute sayings!  This months visiting teaching message is about Patience and I have been working on patience this month.  I've been trying not to worry and to just be happy....even when the internet isn't working, or my child waits until the last day to do a big project for school or the jello in the cute mold melts completely after setting it in hot water and turning my back on it and getting distracted.  Most things don't matter and worrying and being impatient doesn't change the out come. So Don't Worry Be Happy and Be Patient Every Single Day!
We all had our green on and our silly on.  That is the reason I named this group the Fun Bunch.  We enjoy being silly and immature and making memories.
Robin brought Bubble Guns for us all and we almost forgot to use them.  They were cute and fun.  You're never too old for Bubbles right?  My grands are going to love these...I think they all need them for Easter.  A nice guy that was walking by volunteered to take our picture.  People are just nice like that when you let them be.  I watched him as he continued to click the button and smile as he watched us silly gals over half a hundred (a phrase my brother says) enjoy our bubble guns.  It was a fun afternoon.
I stopped at the store on the way home to get the rest of the things I needed for our Green Dinner.  I really only needed salad stuff but ended up getting rolls and doughnuts too. Oh I bought shamrock cookies too but didn't use them since we had doughnuts.  They will be for tomorrow.  I was thinking about making the break but when they had green rolls I just bought them.  I made shepherds pie.  I even picked up a very cute rainbow jello but ruined it when I was melting around the edges so it would come out of the round mold.  I forgot about it and was doing other things.  By the time I remembered it was melted and a yucky color.  My family enjoyed teasing me about it.  I was frustrated because I remember doing that a time before...you think I would learn. The rainbow jello would have been a nice addition but instead we will be eating brown jello tomorrow. ☺

After dinner Larry was asked to help in giving a Priesthood Blessing and I was told I could also come over to Cheer my friend up.   I'm thankful for the Priesthood and it's power.  I'm thankful for a good hubby and wonderful sons that are worthy to have it.  The Priesthood is such a Blessing in this Life.

We enjoyed Sadie Baby while Braxton and Kelsi did a little shopping.  She is getting bigger and is such a cutie!

Fun Day with Fun Friends and Family!
