Paying me back!

I love scaring Larry when he comes home from work. He actually looks forward to my little greetings. A few weeks ago I wasn't waiting and the door opened and closed about 5 times and I was in the kitchen wondering why he was going in and out so much. It didn't occur to me that I had missed greeting my hubby. He came to the kitchen and asked if I heard that door open and closing so much. I told him I had and he then said he was giving me a chance to go greet him. Oops....some times I forget!

Anyway last night when he came home I was waiting on the steps to jump at him. He was also prepared for me with silly string! He got me the other day in the garage but I guess he still had some left and covered me with it when I pounced on him! There is a reason this stuff is called "silly string". It's silly and makes us laugh! It also stinks when sprayed in your face. Larry thought his little joked back fired when I went back outside to clean myself up. The stuff is also messy and I didn't want to have to vacuum. I reassured him it was very silly indeed! He got me and that was awesome! He told me that he had been ready for five days. (hmmmm I didn't think I was neglecting my greetings but must have been)

I sure do enjoy playing around with Larry. There were many years that we didn't play around like we do now and I prefer now over then. Our relationship is so much better but it has taken a little bit of work and effort. All in all it's so worth it. When I look at Larry I can't help but smile and I know he actually enjoys looking at me too. Loving my life!

Thoughts I like!

Being MISERABLE is a habit; being HAPPY is a habit; and the CHOICE is YOURS.

Girls just wanna have FUN

Jody and Linda had birthdays this month and so that was a good enough reason for all of us to get together for lunch. We have another lunch date set for next week for those that couldn't come. We all just enjoy being together and laughing and having fun. These girls are FUN!

We ended up going to LaFerovia since no one else has ever tried it! (hard to believe) I took party hats and horns. For the birthday girls I brought little boa's and crowns! It doesn't matter how old ya really are we are all princesses!

These ladies aren't afraid to have fun. In fact we all thrive on fun! I sure am thankful for being reconnected to these gals. So love them all!

We laugh so much when we get together. We love getting silly and taking funny photo's. We visited an antique store today and got plenty. It is always so much fun. I love the photo of us laughing because you can tell our laughs came from our gutts. Nothing like a wonderful belly laugh.

Today the ladies that came were: Davaleen, Me, Linda, Jody, Kathy and Jodi!

We're not old just Antique!

She Said YES

Tonight Kevin proposed to Julie and she said YES! Kevin and Julie are getting married June 9, 2012 (6/9/12) Our family is really excited because we just love Julie and Kamryn.

Kevin and Julie were going to the movies and so Kevin made a "trailer" (preview) up about a love story. It was done really cute and at the end it said "what's next?" and it showed Kamryn shrugging with her arms up and she said: "I don't know ask my mom". Then Kevin stood up and said some things to Julie and then knelt down and asked her to marry him! Of course she said "YES".

The families were hiding in the walk way while the previews were playing. When Kamryn said ask her mom we all stood up to watch the proposal. It was cool and fun to be a part of.

I love having our family grow. I have loved everyone who has joined us. I feel really blessed to have such great people join our family!

Tuesday

Who's that Baby?

Friday after Mya's birthday party Larry and I went to the Elders Quorum Party. At the party they played a game where you had to identify who the picture of the baby was. It was so funny to see all the cute pictures. I surprised myself and got just over half of them right. Well today I just received a nice text from one of the people there.

This is the text: "I didn't get a chance all weekend (and I saw you everyday) to tell you that I loved your baby picture! I knew who you were right away because of your beautiful sparkly, kind eyes! I have always loved your eyes~you can tell you love people because of the way you look at them! Just wanted you to know!

Well to say the least....this made my day. It's always nice to hear kind words from others. Larry tells me what some people have told him about me and it makes me smile. In fact I even got a message the other day that said: "You really are one of the nicest people I have ever met!! It is always so good to see you and your bright beautiful smile!!!"

Times like this make me stop and think.....I really must be doing something right at least part of the time! (feeling blessed)

Friday

Mya Pearl is 4

I can't believe that our little Mya Pearl is 4. Mya is such a cutie and so stinkin smart. I love watching the little ones develop into themselves. They say and do the cutiest things and are so clever. Mya makes us laugh. Mya makes us proud. Mya makes us smile. Mya makes us grateful to have her.

Natalie and Justin are so good about making birthdays extra special. They really do celebrate the "Birth Day" of the special one. They go all out to make it a fun day. Justin took off work and they played together. I know that they went to dinner at LaFerovia's because Mya loves that place. They didn't take Parker to dinner because Mya thought it would be nice to just go with her mom and dad.

It was fun watching Mya open her gifts. She had a little helper who wanted to share her gifts. Mya loved everything she got.....so did Parker.

We gave Mya some Princess shoes and a crown. Parker put the pair of blue shoes on right away and carefully walked around in them.

They had a few ice creams and even cupcakes to choose from to eat. Kamryn likes to try them all.

I sure do love all my grands. I am happy that Mya is getting so big and that we were able to help her celebrate her special day.

Thursday

I am such a kid at heart!

I know that even if I live to be a hundred I will always have the heart of a child. I love kids and I love living life through my inner childs eyes. It's much more fun than being a serious adult. (Oh ya I tried that for years and wouldn't recommend it) I am much happier being a "big" kid. I think I might embarrass my kids a bit but they too will learn as time goes on it's the better choice by far.

I loved going to Disneyland with Larry. We had such a "Magical" time! There wasn't any fighting or competing between us. Oh wait there was some competing on the Toy Story ride. Larry kept watching our scores and acknowledging that I was ahead of him. I did end up winning him but he had a great come back. I wouldn't even notice or care about such things but it matters to Larry and so I found great pleasure in beating him. (hahaha)

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and it was awesome! We both liked it a lot and would recommend it to anyone. It's so convenient and the little extra's are just nice. I was in my own little heaven. I would even say I liked it better than the Hershey Chocolate Factory! That's because Disney is about kids and that's who I am. (must be great if it's better than chocolate)

We played all day the first day in California Adventure. We rode and saw everything we wanted. We even rode the California Screamer and yes I did my own screaming! We were the very back and it was so fun. Once was enough for my head though. The rides that shake you around make my head feel like a milk shake! I could only do them once but enjoyed the one time nonetheless. ;) I was challenged by Cindy P. to scream at the beginning of Big Thunder Mountain so I did. It was funny because it was right as the ride started before it was even going fast. Got people thinking......ya thinking that gramma was crazy! hahaha (too funny!)

I loved the World of Color. It was so pretty and quite amazing. I smiled the whole time and I am quite sure I even teared up. It was spectacular! Animation on the water is just so cool and all the colors.....wow! It was worth sticking around for.

We ate at Goofy's Kitchen the first night and it was so much fun. There weren't many people and so all the characters came around for pictures at each table. They do that anyway but this way we had lots of time with them. Seriously though we didn't need lots of time and I enjoyed watching the group of kids that were close by us enjoy the characters. And they did enjoy them to the fullest. It was a riot to watch. The food was good and I told Larry to eat slow and a lot so we could enjoy longer. (Larry is such a good sport to go along with me with my silliness)

The second day we spent in Disneyland. We didn't ever have to wait to get on any ride and it was fun. We did a lot of people watching the second day. We moved around and would just sit and watch all the different kinds of people. I wonder what people think of me when they are people watching? We saw so many characters through both parks. I wonder if there are always that many but because there weren't tons of people we were able to see them. I must say this was the perfect time to go if you don't like crowds. (I don't so it was perfect)

I was tired at the end of each day. It was a good tired though. I did enjoy all the walking around that we did. We are talking about taking the family next year. Larry needs to do some figuring to see if we can swing it and I sure hope we can. Taking the family is a whole different experience and watching the little ones will be the fun part for me.

This was just good all the way around.... good weather, good food, good company, good times!

I am so thankful for my sweet hubby who thinks of me!
