Sunday

Sunday Fun

Today I kept dinner simple.  We had a taco salad and s'more bars.  Our house was buzzing from everyone talking and enjoying each other.  That's the way I like it.  I also really like that the parents of my cute grands help clean up on Sundays.  It sure helps a lot.  I was able to sit and enjoy everyone.  I was googling over the twins and Kevin noticed and asked me if I'd like to hold them.  Of course I wanted to hold them.  Kevin suggested I hold them both with one arm so that one arm remained free.  It was nice like that except I think Brynlie's space was crowded. ☺  I enjoyed them for awhile until Justin came and cozied up to me because he wanted to hold one.  I'm good at sharing and let him take Briggs.  I actually got to enjoy Brynlie longer than I thought.  Usually when I get a baby one of my kids comes and takes them.  I like having two.  I think two might be a little harder on mom and dad but these two are pretty stinking cute and doing great thanks to their awesome parents.  The sacrifice of little sleep is so worth these little miracles.  I'm such a happy gramma.

Today I tried scheduling "Cupcakes with the Grands" and holy cow it's hard to find a time that is good for everyone.  Sadie has daycare Mon-Wed and Trichelle's kids are gone every other weekend and Ivy goes to her dads two days a week.  I almost bagged it but Ivy said: "No".  I thought we'd come up with a day but it ended up not working out.  I'm hoping that it will happen on the 21st and that everyone will come.  I was thinking about going to Limitless with Kimi and Jared since they signed up again but I decided this wasn't a good month for me to go and so I'm not going. I also know that Kelsi asks Kimi to watch Sadie every other Thursday and the 21st is a Thursday that Kelsi works.  By staying home I can watch Sadie and make cupcakes with the grands.

Larry is planning on going camping on the 22nd but I'm not thrilled about it.  I didn't mind camping in the trailer with a toilet but camping in a tent again in not appealing to me at all.  Kimi and Jared won't get home until that night and we just found out the twins are being blessed on the 24th.  So, who knows if we will go camping or not?

Saturday

I Love Him

Larry's a goof and I love him!  Tonight we went to check on Rachel's hubby.  He was diagnosed with Diabetes and almost lost his life last week.  On the way to their house we came across some bikers.  The bikers we saw weren't wearing any shirts and when I looked closer I noticed that they were only wearing their underpants.  They did have their helmets on and boots (I think).  Maybe they call themselves "Captain Underpants Crew".  We laughed and Larry told me to call Roger and Carla to see if they were apart of that group.  We knew they weren't but I called anyway just for laughs.  Carla told me that she was in Liberty watching her niece ride in a horse show and that she also saw Rachel and Craig.  How bizarre is that?  I don't think it was a coincident.  So instead of going to their home we drove to the park and visited with them there.  It was awesome!

Friday

A Few Fun Days

I really enjoyed having the kids here this week.  Zaden and Ivy are low maintenance kids and Behr is pretty good at entertaining himself too.  They were really easy to have over.  Behr loves Ivy and Zaden and got excited every time he saw them.   They are all really cute together and treat each other really good.
Wednesday night Kevin and Julie brought their kids over so that they could go to the Movie.  It was a blast having them all.  Larry was helping with an emergency preparedness drill our Stake was doing and so I was on my own.  Ivy and Kamryn could have helped if I wouldn't needed them to but I did fine and let them play.  I got to feed the twins and love on each of them for a little bit.  Zaden was keeping Jordyn and Behr happy.  However, Jordyn and Behr did get into a little mischief.  They got hold of a drink and poured it on the floor and was playing in it.  Behr was sitting in it and so I had to change his pj's.  Ivy and Kam play with my shoes and purses and I'm really glad they get along so well.  We invited Kamryn to spend the night because she likes being at my house best when her cousins are here.  I have such cute grands.
Ivy pulled her tooth out and was really hoping the "tooth-fairy" would find it but I let her know that the "tooth-fairy" wasn't good about coming to our house.  I was right....her tooth was still in the baggie in the diaper bag the next day. ☺  Ivy wanted to learn to crochet and so we went and got a burp cloth and some thread.  She caught on really quick.  I liked seeing her crochet...it made my heart happy.
We played on my phone with the snap chat app and laughed our heads off.  Some people are so dang clever.  We really had a good time together.  Carla came over Friday and we went to lunch with the kids and she visited with us after.
While we were having a good time so were Kimleighel, Trichelle, Jared and Krissie.  They were breaking boards with their bare hands, breaking arrows that were in their necks as they broke through their own insecurities, and learning about the power of "positive thinking".   Limitless is an awesome program that helps you gain control over your own life.

A THOUGHTFUL Food 4 Thought Friday

Breakfast ~ What is consuming your thoughts currently? I need to get my blog book caught up and printed.  I keep thinking of the Special Needs and how we can make our activities better.  My kids and grands are constantly in my thoughts and prayers

Lunch ~ What is the most thoughtful thing you did this week? I watched Trichelle's kids for her so that she could attend limitless. I even had Kevin bring over his 4 so he could take his sweetie to a movie. I also took Kellie to lunch for her birthday and went and visited Kathy on Monday.  All those things made me happy and I loved doing them.

Dinner ~ What is the most thoughtful thing someone else did for you this week? I'd say that the kind words of everyone that I did someone thing for were very thoughtful and appreciated.  My cute friend, Julie sends me a thoughtful text every day and has done so for a year.

Midnight Snack ~ If you could eliminate one of your reoccurring thoughts, what it would be? that I'm fat.  I think I heard it so much when I was young and have always thought I was fat.  I look back on pictures and remember thinking I was fat and realize I really wasn't.  I'm trying to reprogram my mind about my weight and not let the comments of others affect me.

Recipe for the Week ~(instead of your recipe for life, what is it just for the week?) Be Of Good Cheer!  That thought has crossed my mind everyday this week!

Wednesday

Limitless

Trichelle went to Limitless with Kimleighel and Jared and so I get to have limitless fun with her cuties for the next three days.  I love having the grands over.  They are so dang cute.
Behr loves Zaden and Ivy.  I went to put him down for a morning nap and he cried the cry that let me knew he wasn't ready.  I took him back into the tv room and he quickly crawled back to my room for Ivy.  It made me laugh.  She held him and gave him and bottle and then he was ready.  When he got up he was so happy and just wants to be where I don't want him to be.  I had to barricade the hallway which gave him the entire kitchen and family room to explore.  He doesn't like to be restrained. ☺ Behr tries climbing on everything and succeeds once in awhile.  He's a cutie though and very pleasant.  The next few days are going to be enjoyable.

Tuesday

Boating with Trichelle's family

Since we don't all fit in our boat anymore, we decided to start taking one family out at a time so we can enjoy the boat.  Larry took Kimi and Jared last week while I was gone and they had fun.  I have always loved having a boat until this year.  That is because I was focusing on the "change" that we all couldn't go together.  When Larry suggested taking out one family at a time I got excited about it.  This was our first outing.  There are "perks" to being the first born. ☺
Everyone had a great time.  The kids loved riding in the boat and swimming.  The water was warm and the outside temps were close to 100.  I got in to cool off and then got my  cover up wet to stay cool.
I guess when you get old enough that you don't have to wear a life jacket, you can wear it however you want.  My boys looked like big babies in diapers!  They both complained a little after jumping off the tower into the water.  Wearing the life jacket like that kind of hurt. ☺
Trichelle's favorite boating fun is the tube.  Her kids wouldn't decide and so she did.  Zaden was kind of nervous at first so Larry took them slow.  He got a little more comfortable and gave the "thumbs up" sign to speed up a little.  This is one time that Larry can be trusted.  He doesn't want to scare anyone that doesn't want to be.  The rides got a little wilder when Trichelle, Jared and Kimleighel rode by themselves.  They each got a few good "pops" but no one fell off.  One of the times we were going over the waves the boat was bouncing and thumping pretty good and it made Zaden nervous.  He was kind of funny asking "what's that...what's that?"  TJ made sure to be by him after that.

The water was so smooth and wonderful.  Larry was watching the sky change though and soon the wind hit and the water changed.  Everyone was getting off the water.  I was so glad that Jaydan was able to get the trailer so that Larry could control the boat.  The little marina was packed with boats and I was nervous even though I wasn't having to do anything.

I use to put the boat in and take it out all by myself but it scares me to death now.  Larry said it was probably because we have a bigger boat now.  I think that's part of it but I have also had a few scares over the years.  So, I'm thankful for my big kids that help!  Maybe that's another reason I was excited about taking a family with us when we go out...I can relax!

Fun With Kellie

I took Kellie to lunch for her birthday today!  She chose a new little place out in Plain City.  It's called Roylies  and is owned by a cute young couple for England.  We both had chicken cordon bleu sandwiches.  They were really yummy.  They came with homemade potato chips too.  I will need to go back to that place.  Kellie and I think they need to put some "air" in there though.  We both got hot at different times.

We went shopping to Kohl's afterwards.  I am not a shopper but I know Kellie is and so I enjoyed watching her.  I learned a few pointers.  I don't think Kellie thought I was enjoying myself but really I was.  I was starting to get a back ache though and my face or countenance must have showed it.  Kellie had some gift cards and coupons and was able to get a cute purse, blouse, dress and shoes.  She said she will probably take some of it back.  I don't understand that, I really dislike returning things.  I usually will give something away instead of taking it back.

We had a fun time together.  I love this girl and I'm so thankful that we are in each others lives now.
