Friday

More of the Same

I really love how beautiful winter is.  The frost on the trees and every where else makes me smile all over.  It's so pretty.  I usually stop and take a picture because I love it so much.  This winter is amazing.  It's very cold but that just reminds me how thankful I am for a warm house and cozy blankets.

As soon as Justin brought me Macie we left.  I took Macie to play with Kelsi and Sadie so that I could go to the Temple to see Trevor and Tiffany get married.  (3rd time for the Temple this week)  I think Trevor and Tiffany are such a cute couple.  They are just such good kids.  Trevor works for Larry and so for their wedding gift we sent them to California for a conference but paid for them to stay longer so they could go to Disneyland.  When I picked Macie up, I invited Kelsi and Sadie to go to lunch.  Sadie wanted to ride with me and wasn't happy that she had to go in her car.  The car seats these days are not the easiest things to move so we took both cars.  We went to Chic-fil-A and the girls had a good time. I had a good time talking to Kelsi.  Kelsi is still pretty reserved around me and doesn't say much.  I think she is a sweet heart and I'm so thankful for her.  Kelsi is so easy going which is essential being married to Braxton.  She doesn't mind him having so much adventure even if it means getting shaving cream all over your baby or throwing your baby really high in the air.  I love that Kelsi just goes with it and trusts Braxton.  I'm glad she's part of our family now...she's a cutie.  I talked to Macie all the way home trying to keep her awake so that she would nap at home and we did good right up to our corner.  She did take a good nap.
I picked Trichelle's kids up from school and then went and picked up Justin's kids.  I was really glad Kimleighel was home so I could leave Macie sleeping.  I would have had to make two trips otherwise.  The grands love playing together at my house and I love having them here.  I made everyone dinner before the parents picked them up. (shepherds pie)  Larry and I hurried to the church for the reception and got to see Braxton, Kelsi and Sadie.  Sadie saw me first and came over to me...she's so cute.

When Trichelle and TJ came to get their kids we were laughing so hard at Behr that I started choking. (the kids a clown)  I couldn't breath and when I did get some air I would cough.  I coughed so hard it gagged me and I had to run to the bathroom.  I was struggling with catching air, coughing and eventually even throwing up.  The thought crossed my mind that if I died at least they could put I died laughing on my headstone. haha  I love to laugh even if it about kills me. ☺

Thursday

The Grands

I get to enjoy these cuties for the next few days.  Natalie has a sister in St. George that is moving and so her awesome sisters all drove down together to help her move.  I love being able to help out.  Today Trichelle watched Macie while I went bowling and then I picked her up on my way home.  Jaydan came down after work to pick the kids up and take them home.  Justin had some church stuff going on.  I made dinner for them all first.

They were good about getting homework done right away.  I enjoyed listening to Parker read out loud.  I'm amazed how quick kids learn things.  I love seeing them learn and progress.  I love having them over.
Barbie was over the activity tonight at SNAP and a few of her girls came and did hair and polish on the girls.  Barbie bought the girls bags to decorate for camp.  They are suppose to put their plates, cups, and forks in them for camp.  These girls make big messes.  We had to leave the bags in another room to dry.  A few leaders were going to pick them up tomorrow.  The hair on the girls turned out cute.  I think they really enjoyed getting "dolled" up.  My mind in on camp.  I was direct tonight but another leader was more direct and we had one gal decide not to go.  I'm actually relieved because I don't think she would enjoy this camp.  This year's camp isn't going to be relaxing. The gals need to be able to get around and so it's important for them to be in pretty good health.  I also want positive attitudes.  I have decided that since some won't be able to attend because of conditions that I will make everyone a shirt at least...even if they don't come.

Wednesday

Crowned

I got "crowned" today!  I would have preferred a crown for a queen but instead I got a porcelain one in my mouth.  I'm lucky that I have been able to go this long without one.  About 27 years ago I had a filling come out of one of my teeth.  I went to the dentist to have it fixed but after waiting for over an hour, I left.  I told a friend of mine who was watching my kids that I would be back in about an hour.  Instead of rescheduling I waited until my tooth actually broke before doing anything with it. (dumb choice) By then I had a new dentist and he told me he would try to fix it with a filling but wasn't sure how long it would last.  He did a good job and it lasted a long time.  My tooth broke again about a year ago and I told my dentist that I would just leave it that way as long as it wouldn't hurt the rest of my tooth.  He went a long with me.  There were a few times that I could tell that I really needed to get my tooth fixed and so I finally just decided to do it.  (I didn't want to spend the $$$) My tooth feels fabulous and it wasn't painful at all....I haven't seen the bill yet though....that might be painful.
I met Mallory and Kathy afterwards for lunch.  Mal went to the dentist today too. She's worse than me about going.  The last time she went was because I actually called and made her an appointment.  I love these two ladies.  I cherish the discussions we have.  I love that we can count on each other for any kind of help or support.  I love that we have shared so much together and will continue to for the rest of our lives.

Tuesday

Fun Day

Yesterday was a day of pampering because I knew the rest of the week was going to be busy.  I got a pedicure and my hair done yesterday and it was nice to just sit and relax.  It had been awhile since I had done either.  I really enjoy "down" days when I get them.
This morning I went and visit taught Crystal.  She has some really cute puppies right now.  She breeds her dog so that they can sell the puppies. Crystal's daughter is getting married and so they need a little extra money.  These puppies bring in quite a bit.  They are so cute but I personally would never pay for a dog no matter how cute they are.  Crystal and I visited for quite awhile and it was nice sharing a bit of our lives with each other.  I absolutely love this girl so much.  I'm glad I get to be her visiting teacher because this way I get to see and visit with her at least once a month.  Crystal inspires me to be better.  She's just such a nice person.
I text Tammy last night to see if she wanted to meet me for a quick visit.  At first she said yes, then she remembered that she had a meeting so we decided to meet a little earlier than we had originally planned.  It worked out perfect for me since I was already out and about. We met at the Library in Roy.  I love our library in Roy.  It's so bright and wonderful.  I love that there are lots of places to sit and read or visit with a friend.  They even have a little cafe with tables.  I got there first and so I ordered a little breakfast for us. ☺  We had a really nice visit and then we were both off doing the next thing on our lists.
It was Larry's short day and so we decided to go to the Temple.  The middle of the day isn't my favorite time to go but it's a good time to go.  (there aren't a lot of people)  We decided to help out with Sealings since they had a little sign saying they needed help.  It was a pleasant experience.  I think we were in the same room that I was sealed to my parents.  (I love that room...#6)  I was glad we did sealings because it's easier for me to stay awake and pay attention.  Sometimes when we do endowments in the afternoon I will doze off.  Sitting in a peaceful place has that affect on me.

We went to LaFerrovia afterwards and had a yummy dinner.  We were thoughtful and took some food home for the kids.  I really enjoyed today and felt like some good things were accomplished.

Sunday

Another Elder

I can't believe my baby is old enough to receive the Melchizedek Priesthood but that's exactly what happened today.  I sure do love this kid.  I have learned and grown a lot from being his mom...I am blessed.  All of our kids came to support Jared today.  I love my family for always being there for each other.  It was sure a happy time for this mommy.  My heart was full and proud.  It won't be long and this young man will be serving His Father in Heaven and paying back a little for all he has been given.  I need to start practicing positive thinking concerning this time because right now every time I think of him leaving I cry.  I feel like I did when Justin left.  I'm a mess and so it's time to change my thoughts and focus on all the good concerning missionaries.

It was awesome to have all my guys up in the ordination circle.  Larry, Justin, Kevin, Braxton and Jaydan.  Gramps was also up there along with our High councilman- Randy Garside, our Bishop-Bishop Gurney, and our friend Clint McFarland.  When TJ receives this Priesthood, all our guys will be able to stand in for him.  Julie stayed home with the kids and Ivy and Zaden were with their dads, but everyone else was with us including Bobbi McFarland and her boys. It was wonderful!
These ducks were at church all day just chillin in the parking lots.  By the time Jared was ordained there was a hurt one.  He was sitting in the snow and blood was around him.  Braxton felt bad for it and so he helped him to the other side a little faster.  It seemed mean but having it freeze to death seemed meaner.

Saturday

More Celebrating of Births

Kevin and Julie spoil us parents.  Twice a year we get to go to dinner at their expense for our Birthdays as a Thank You for all we do.  Tonight we celebrated Lynette and Larry.  I love this little tradition.  I love sitting down and visiting with the Dunkley's...they are great people.  It's fun catching up with them.

Kimleighel and Jared went to watch the kids.  Man these little's make me smile.  Jordyn was laying in Kevin and Julie's bed and Kam was brushing her hair from bathing and I forgot to get pictures of them but believe me they are loved just as much.  I remember with the twins because they change so much and those smiles.....I want to always remember their smiles.  What sweeties they all are.
Do you wonder how I am?  I am blessed...completely blessed and surrounded by amazing family and friends!

Celebrating Mya

We had the  privilege of Mya coming over to celebrate her birthday with us.  Natalie brought her after school.  We went shopping first and Mya was really excited to go to Toys R Us.  She was so cute looking at everything.  I think its fun to watch the grands walk up and down every aisle inspecting everything.  I think they are in complete awe at all the toys.  Mya was leaning towards a talking 'toy' parrot and it was even in our cart.  She had been telling me that she was interested in science and so we went down that aisle and her eyes lit up.  I could tell that she really likes science.  She saw a microscope and thought it would be so cool to have it.  I told her that she could get it if she wanted.  She would have to decide out of the parrot or it.  She told me it was a really hard decision but she chose the microscope. I think that was a great choice.
We decided to go to dinner after and she chose Olive Garden.  It was so fun just having Mya by herself.  She is getting so grown up but is still a sweet little girl that loves spending time with me.  I ordered with the thought in mind that Larry would get the rest for dinner.  He was all for it.  Kimi and Jared had things going on and so I didn't need to worry about them.

When we got home Mya got out her microscope and we enjoyed looking through it.  I loved her excitement.  Her family came down a little later and her daddy brought the elk he just shot to show her.  Larry helped Justin give Macie a priesthood blessing since she wasn't feeling very good.  I love that we have the Priesthood.

In the bottom corner of one of the pictures is our statue of the last supper that Larry bought while we were in Italy with the Jones.  Parker thought it would be a great place to hang his hat.  haha I couldn't help but laugh out loud.

Mya and I snuggled and talked before going to sleep.  It was fun listening to Mya talk and tell me the things on her mind.  We woke up to a Winter Wonderland...it was Beautiful.
Mya wanted to make pancake art for breakfast and so of course that is what we did.  Mya is pretty creative.  She made her a few pancakes first and then told me not to look because she was making me one.  Do you know which one?  If you guessed the heart you are right.  Oh I love this girl that is now nine years old.
We let Mya stay and play all day.  Larry and I did run to a baby shower together for Mallory's son and his wife and to the store but other than that we were home enjoying this day.  I was happy that our cute neighbor, Kenna came over with her dogs and wanted to play.  Mya was dying to play in the snow.  Jared went out with them and ended up pulling them around the field behind the four-wheeler.  Oh...I love our birthday sleepovers with the grands.  I wonder what they will remember?
