Kimleighel's first Dance

Larry surprised me with a get a way to St George for the Weekend.....only problem with that nice surprise was it was also Kimi's first dance.  We talked to Kimi about us not being there and she was fine as long as Trichelle promised to be there with her.  She wanted Trichelle there even if we would have been.  I think Kimi values her sisters opinion.  Well Trichelle spoiled her.  Kimi's friend, Genni was turning 16 on Saturday and so for her birthday, Genni's mom planned a special day for the girls.  They were picked up from High School in Limo and taken to the Mall.  Trichelle picked Kimi up from the Mall and took her to get her hair cut and colored.  A few days earlier Genni's mom did Kimi's nails for her. (she was being pampered big time)

The Grays let Kimi borrow a dress for the dance and volunteered to do her make up and hair.  Boy was Kimi excited!  When she got home from her day date with Dallin she called the Grays and they had her come over.  Jaydan and Trichelle were awesome and went with Kimi.  Jaydan kept me posted with pictures which made me feel good.  I know Kimi was thrilled to have Jaydan and Trichelle watching out for her all day.  I was too!
Kimi had Keri, Sabrina and LaVerna all working on her.  I guess she didn't say much but always had a little smile on her cute face.  She was bursting inside though....Kimi bursts!
Kimi was thrilled with the results and couldn't quit smiling once she was outside with just her siblings.  She was very pleased with the results.  Trichelle called me later and told me how fun it was to be around Kimleighel and see her excitement.
I know that Kimleighel felt like a Princess.....and she should!  She is a Princess and the cool thing is ..... she knows it!
She felt beautiful and looked beautiful as well!  Wow......Larry and I made some cute kids!

Kimi went with Dallin to the dance.  Dallin and Kimi have been friends since birth.  I think it is great that they still like each other.  Larry kind of gave Dallin the talk on Sunday..... hahaha
I'm glad that Dallin asked Kimleighel to the dance and they had a good time together!  So fun watching the kids grow up!  I'm really thankful for my good friends and kids that were there with Kimi to make her first dance memorable and great!   Life is pretty darn fun and rewarding!

Wednesday

Birthdays are Fun

We've been celebrating Mallory's birthday all month and today is finally her birthday!  It's been fun going to lunch so much with Mallory and Kathy.  I love these ladies!  I'm sure I have mentioned it before but we use to meet once a week for lunch when we had little kids.  I have always enjoyed my friendship with these too.

They are friends that are family.  We depend on each other and can always count on each other.  I learn so much from my friends....I think that's why I have been so blessed to have so many.  I need to learn a lot and they all seem to keep me on the right track.  I look at Mallory and see strength.  Mallory lost around 50 lbs last year by working hard.  I admire her!  Kathy is always so happy and sweet...I admire her too!

I had a dinner date tonight and so I just had a cup of soup today.  It isn't about the food though...it's about the company.  I might have to order lite all the time....I felt good after!  I'm glad Mallory finally caught up to me & Kathy...she reminds us she is younger....I remind Kathy she is the oldest. ;)

Larry and I went with the Winters tonight for dinner.  I didn't take my camera since Larry hates having his picture taken.  I will get them in a few weeks when we go to Hawaii with them.  I love the Winters and enjoy their friendship.  We laughed how we have to leave town together to see each other.  It's true, we seldom get together unless we are vacationing together.  Even tonight was to discuss our vacation coming up.  It was a fun day......again!

Tuesday

I don't cook much.....

Today was so much FUN!  I went to lunch with all these cute ladies!  I had such a good time visiting with them and laughing with them.
I keep trying to think of a get together that doesn't involve food and have some in mind but I think going out to lunch is the thing to do these days.  Everyone has to eat right?  By going out I don't have to cook as much....I still provide my family with food....it just isn't a lot of work on my part.  (I don't think they really mind at all)
I shared lunch with Crystal since I was going out to dinner with more friends in a few hours.  I just decided to eat a little with both groups....that worked just fine!  I seriously love this time in my life!  So many great friends.....they keep me smiling!

When I drove home there were a couple of Roosters running around my yard!  I've seen them a few times and always smile.....I love living in the Country.....it's so peaceful and nice! (only the mosquito's are annoying)
I had just enough time to go see my kids and give Larry a hug and kiss and I was gone.  It was YM/YW tonight so everyone was gone.  I picked up Judy and we met Teresa for dinner.  Judy and Teresa met when Teresa bought a bed from Judy.  They both said they felt connected to each other and it was at Kristen Ipson's funeral they were reunited.  I was sitting with Teresa talking about what a great friend Judy is and Teresa piped up saying she knew Judy.  It was really kind of cool.
At a fireside that Judy and I went to we both had the thought that we needed to go to dinner with Teresa.  It was funny how I was thinking it and then she said it.  Teresa felt it too when I messaged her.  I love my friends and the joy they all bring into my life!  Life is Good!

Monday

Colors of Fall....Stunning

I love the Fall and love the mountains when the leaves change colors.  Last year I missed seeing the beautiful Colors of Fall and decided that I wasn't going to miss them this year.  I decided to take Zaden for a ride today to kind of break up the day with him.  I was pleasantly surprised to have Ivy come too since she didn't have school.
When Trichelle came to bring the kids she decided that since she was running late she would just come with us for our drive to see the leaves.  It was so much fun spending time with her and enjoying the beautiful beauty around us.  The kids loved the leaves and I wonder if it helped that I am so animated. (oh look how pretty....do you see all the colors? etc) :)
When we were leaving Zaden told me: "that was fun Gramma".  I'm so glad that they enjoyed it too and I hope that they will always love the seasons as they change.  I love living where we "see" the changing of the seasons.  I love Fall!
Ivy took a few of these pictures and did a great job.  She wanted to take a picture of me and my daughter.  I thought that was a funny way to put it!  I thought I was taller than Trichelle but it doesn't look like it in these pictures.

I am so glad we were able to go today and the kids enjoyed seeing the leaves as much as me.  It made my day!

We sure do live in a beautiful world.  I can only imagine how Heaven must be!  (I don't think we will even want to blink when we get there!)

I love all the seasons but Fall is my favorite!  I love the crisp, cool air.  I love the colors of the leaves.  I love that the weeds quit growing and the mosquito's lighten up.  I love pulling out my sweatshirts and blankets.  Yep I love Fall best!

Seriously LOVE these Little Ones!

I absolutely love having my cute little grands over to play.  It is so much fun and so very rewarding.  They are so darn cute and say the cutest things too.  Mya saw my reflection in the mirror and said: "there's that beautiful face".  How stinkin sweet is that!  Totally made my day....my grand things I'm beautiful! (love it!)

Also while I had them I heard: "you are the best gramma!"  Oh the happiness and joy these little ones bring to my life......I had no idea!
I know that each one of the cute little ones knows how much this gramma loves them.  They get excited to see me and miss me if I go to the store!  I am so thankful for each of these cute little ones.  I love them all so much!
I love just watching them create their fun.  They are all very creative and have great imaginations.  I love how kids line up the cars and usually there is a pattern of some kind.  Parker even decided to line up the Rescue Hero's...so cute!  I love their laughter .... I love making them laugh.  I love their hugs and their kisses and their squeezes. I love how they express themselves. (they are all so polite)
Mya wanted to lay by me on the couch  and watch a show.  I scooted over so she could lay in front of me.  After about 10 minutes she sweetly looked at me and said: "gramma could you please move, you are bugging me".  Totally made me laugh out loud!  Oh My Goodness I love My Grands!

Saturday

Celebrating Jared's Day of Birth

We decided to Celebrate Jared's birth on Friday since Saturday had a few interruptions.  So right after school Larry and I picked Jared up and the fun began.  Jared wanted to go to Red Lobster for his dinner and so we decided to go there first.  Timing was perfect, food and service were great!

I enjoy our special dates with our Birthday kids.  The thing that is nice is that they each enjoy our dates too. Jared loves his family and I bet it would be safe to say that we are his favorite!  He would rather spend time with his family than anyone else.  I love this kid!
After eating Jared had the choice to go golfing or to Toads.  He liked both choices but decided on Toads since it's been forever since he has been there.  We bought 3 hours passes even though we didn't really think we would be there for 3 hours.  We were there for the 3 hours and it was fun.  We rode the go carts first.  I would normally call them race cars but they pretty much control the speed and warn you that there is no bumping.  They tell you that if you are caught bumping you will get a warning and then you will get kicked out.  No problem.......whatever!
Around the first bend or maybe second Larry decides to pass me but in order to do so since we are all going the same speed he needs to cut me off.  I refuse to be cut off and so he "bumps" into me and I bump him back.  It's kind of a chain reaction thing.  Well his car turned side ways and we were both stuck and the guy had to come out and turn Larry around so we could get going.  At that time the kid gave ME a warning! What the heck?  So from that point on we drove around the track like a toddler.  I did go with Jared again later and even passed a kid but warned him not to bump me when I was moving up on him.  If nothing else it made us laugh....."The "old lady" got a warning".
Next we miniature golfed.  There are two outside courses and we did them both.  At one point Jared said something like....it's okay mom if you aren't as good at this, there are others things you are better at than me and dad. LOL :D From that point on I picked up my game and even beat my cute little boy!
There was one hole that made Larry jump.  I thought it was because he was afraid Jared's ball was going to hit a big rock and bounce back at him...but that wasn't it at all....it was because Jared swung the putter and whacked Larry in the head.  I had them reenact it for a picture.  It was hilarious and even made Larry bleed just a little.  I was glad when we got through with the coarses outside...it was hot!
On each of our cards we had $5 that we could play with on the games inside.  Jared got right on it.  He was having so much fun.  I really enjoyed watching him.  I was giving him my $5 to play with too.  Larry joined him in some play.

The last thing we did was miniature golf inside.  Larry's shoes looked really cool and so I figured out how to take a picture with my camera without having the light blink and ruin it.  I am finding out new things about my camera all the time that I really like.
It was such a fun day with our little son, Jared.  He is such a cute and fun kid.  He's so appreciative about everything and asks for nothing.  He even mentioned he never cares what he gets...he likes everything.  Such a easy kid as far as that goes. (as far as grades go....not so easy)
The sky (sunset) was beautiful on the way home.  I noticed and Jared did too.  I got out my camera and took a few pictures from the window as we drove.  I got a few telephone poles first which made us laugh but finally I was able to get a picture.  I love the beauty around us and I'm so glad that my kids notice it too.
Saturday morning when Jared woke up Larry and I sang to him and I gave him a little present.  The kid loves Lego's and so he got a little set and instantly went in and started building.  He had fun with that all day in between helping gramps and running with Larry.

Trichelle took Jared with her family to the Weber State Game while Larry and I went to the Temple with our Ward. (which by the way ended up being a Spanish Speaking Session..hahaha)
They also took him out to eat.  I know it was a great day for Jared.  It was a great day for all of us.  We love our Caboose!!!

*oh ya.....I had 2 young gals today compliment me on my shirt.  One even asked where I got it.  I just wanted to remember this because I think it's kind of funny yet kind of cool.
