Boating on Memorial Day

I enjoy Memorial Day Weekend.  I appreciate all the men & women who have fought for our freedoms!  I appreciate all my friends and family that have passed on and left their mark on me.  I am grateful for all the people that influence my life....I have a great life.
I love being able to spend time with my family.  I am glad that they enjoy spending time together also.  It's so fun being in our boat so close together just enjoying each other.  I always laugh a lot while we boat.  My kids crack me up but so do the grands.  The boys wanted to throw Julie in and Natalie told Mya to go tell the boys to be nice.  Mya looked at her mom and said: "Julie can handle it."  Kam just teases like crazy.  They are all so witty.  I think that's just part of being a Ropelato.....you need to be witty!

The first time out is usually cold.  Today there was snow on the mountains.  There has been the last few years but we don't let that stop us.  The kids come prepared and have a good time anyway.

The little ones enjoy each other so much.  I love watching them together.

When it's cold we do a lot more relaxing in the boat.  It's nice to stop and pull out the snacks and drinks and just visit or enjoy the sunshine.  In truth no matter what we do I am always tired when we are done.

We missed Trichelle and her family since they went out of town.  The boat would have fit them but seemed full anyway.  I think we might have to start finding a beach since our family is growing.  Bring it on though....we love every new addition.

What a fun day!  What a fun family!  What a fun hobby!
I must add that on days like this I love my hubby even more.  I love that he makes it all happen for all of us! What a fun Hubby!!!

Saturday

Princess and the Frog

Today we had a Bridal Shower for Julie!  We went with the Princess and the Frog theme.  Julie was a good sport and wore her crown the whole time! (Our Princess)  I must say I am really pleased that Kevin chose Julie to spend Eternity with.  I love this girl!!! (so far so good on the kids we have got as bonus's)

It's fun having older kids help out with the showers.  Trichelle and Natalie are quite domesticated.  I really appreciate all their help.....all the time!  Oh....I love my kids.

We had a really good turn out for it being Memorial Weekend.  I was happy for everyone that took the time to come and shower Julie with gifts to help her get started with her new life.  It was a recipe shower and so Julie has a lot of good recipes to start her out.  She got a big variety that was really nice.

It was so fun seeing everyone!  I love my friends and family!  I am so blessed with so many wonderful, supportive people.  (yep~I feel loved!)

Our whole family is excited to have Julie and Kamryn join our family.  They fit in quite perfectly and we love them to pieces.  (oops got a little teary just typing that)  Oh....this is a great life!

Friday

Hooray!!! Today is the last day of school and we all survived!  I am excited to have a break from homework. (I really do NOT like homework)  I am excited to be able to sleep in a little bit longer.  I am excited to play with my kids.  I am excited to go boating and to the park.  I am excited to go swim with my niece and other extended family this summer.  I am excited for the little bit of freedom that summer offers.  I am excited to make memories with my kids.  I am excited to watch my kids do the things they enjoy. (might be just relaxing)  I am just excited that another year has come and gone as far as school is concerned.  We are on the downhill stretch! (it's about time) YaHoo for Summer!!!

Tuesday

A Day with Jay

So I was leaving to run some errands today and Jaydan asked me where I was going.  I told him I needed to run some errands for girls camp and asked if he wanted to come with me.  I was thrilled when he said he would.  Spending a few hours with my son was fun.  Oh my heck I love my kids!!!
We even ran a package to someone that Jaydan had brought with him from Uruguay.
Then we went to Lunch.  We went to Cafe Rio because I had a gift card.  :)  I recommended my friend Judy to someone for some permanent makeup (aka tattoo's) and as a thank you Judy sent me a gift card.  What a pleasant surprise.  It was fun  going with Jaydan.  I love how he opens up and talks and tells me lots of things when we are together.  I have missed this kid and glad for the time we have together now.
Hanging with my kids is something I really do cherish.  We even ran into Natalie and her kids at Target and that was nice too.  We laughed a lot and Mya and Parker are really taken with Jaydan....they love him so much!  Ahhhh Life is good!

Monday

Tonya's Birthday

WooHoo it's Tonya's Birthday!  Oh my goodness I LOVE this girl!  We are like sisters and have been since we were dang little!  We've experienced  so much together.  Tonya and I are the sisters we chose for ourselves.  We have always had such a good time together.  Oh I love Tonya.
I love going to Weber High on Tonya's Birthday and Surprising her at work.  Actually I might surprise her more if I didn't show up on her Birthday.  Today she even made herself a Birthday Cake to share with others.  Yahoo for her! (she said she got the idea from me.....love that)  This day should be celebrated and enjoyed.  I am sure glad for this day.  I am sure glad for Tonya.  I can't even imagine life without my dear friend!  I admire her so much.  She's a great example to me in so many ways.
Dang I can't help but smile at the memories we have together.  From baby dolls to boyfriends.  From boyfriends to husbands.  From husbands to kids.  From kids to grand-kids. Oh the memories are many and wonderful.  Life is just so good because this beautiful lady was born!
