Monday

It was fun

Traditionally the Monday Morning Bowling League would end their Season by going to Wendover.  This year there wasn't a Monday bowling league....they joined us on the Thursday League but some of the ladies still put together the little excursion to Wendover.  Debbie asked me if I wanted to go with her.  Even though Wendover isn't my favorite place and I really don't like gambling or the smokey buildings I said Yes I'd go with her.  I like the get away.  I also like the ride down on the Fun Bus.  We play Bingo and get donuts and drinks. I was actually the first to win a Bingo.  I only had 5 numbers but they were in a line so Woo Hoo for me, I got $2.00.  I won one more time and got another $2.00.  Look at that I am starting out with $4.00 ahead.
By going on the Fun Bus you also get a coupon book.  In it there is a coupon for $5.00, a free buffet, and a free drink or smoothie from Star Bucks, and a free drink from the casino (we got Pineapple juice).  So really it doesn't cost much.  We had a good time playing and visiting.  I have to laugh at one of the ladies I bowl with that couldn't believe that Debbie and I would even go....my response to her was are you judging because I sin differently than you? (Thanks to Pres. Uchtdorf)  I'm not a gambler and neither is Debbie.  We both think of it as playing an arcade game.  We have no intentions of winning and just play for fun.  It's a nice get away for the day.  It's not anywhere I'd choose to go but when a group of ladies are going then ya....I'll go.

I enjoyed the time with Debbie.  We don't get alone time with each other and this was nice.  We've been friends for a very long time.  It's fun remembering back to those earlier days.  It's fun having "Old Friends"!

Happy & Proud

Right now in life I am just one Happy Momma!  I am really loving the fact that the family is all home and safe and good.  I absolutely love my family more than anything!  They are all I ever dreamed of.  My dreams have come true and I am just happy!  I love being a mom!  I love every single stage.  I really enjoy having my big kids and watching them be responsible and take care of their spouses and kids.  It's a nice pay day!

Today Ivy my little grand made me and her papa proud.  She wanted to bear her testimony in Fast n Testimony Meeting.  She told me that she knew what she wanted to say so I told her she could.  What a cutie.  She told of her experience with her dad and mommy Martha and Allen.  How Martha was expecting a baby and how the baby had died.  The family was sad and prayed that they could have a baby.  Then they had a family home evening and Daniel taught the family that they needed to do some things for Jesus so that Jesus could help them and answer their prayers.  She told how if Jesus just answered their prayer first then they might forget to do the things they needed to do to help Jesus.  It was so sweet and very profound for a little 6 year old.  She said it all so well and had everyone's attention.  These moments are just so wonderful.  All the hard work and stress and love and teaching is worth it.  Life is just so good right now!  I'm lovin it!

Thursday

Woo Hoo Parker is 2

Parker is 2 today and such a cutie!  Parker is so loving and so very funny.  I love when he smiles real big and closes his eyes.  He's so expressive.  He loves cars and likes to line them up from front to back.  He makes me smile!  He loves his family.  It's so cute to watch him love on them.  The other day when I took Kimi to piano I went up and woke Mya up from her nap.  Parker went with me and just kept kissing Mya.  He likes being "big" and independent.  I love our Parker!

Tuesday

Kamryn is 4

Kamryn is our newest grand child.  We got her this year and couldn't be happier.  Kam is such a cutie and so very loving.  She makes us smile and laugh all the time.  She shares the same birthday as Justin which is appropriate since she likes Justin so much!  (they love teasing each other)
Kamryn is having a birthday party Saturday but came to my house today for a minute so Kevin could get ready to take her to the zoo.  She asked if I would tell her what I was giving her for her birthday.  Since it was her birthday she thought it would be okay for me to tell her.  I was planning on giving her the gift on Saturday but after we talked about it we decided she could have it today.  I asked her if she would like it wrapped or in a bag?  She wanted me to wrap it for her. (I think that is cute)  She even went in the other room so she would be surprised.  I got her a Strawberry Shortcake Remote Control car and it was a hit.  She loved it!
We love our Kamryn and we are so blessed to have her in our family.  Kamryn is such a cutie!

Kevin is such a good daddy!  I knew he would be since he was always so good about watching my little ones.  (Julie had to work and so Kevin took Kam to the Zoo)  Happy Birthday Kamryn! We Love YOU!

Justin's Birthday "29"

Justin is 29 and I sit here and wonder how that can be?  I vividly remember the day this son was born!  He was a bit harder to get here than Trichelle was but I blame that on the doctor for trying to help me out. (the doctor was trying to help me so I wouldn't need stitches.....when I realized that I gave permission to cut and get this kid out)  I was exhausted by that point.  I was so happy when my son was in my arms.  He was so handsome from the start.  I called Justin my buddy!

Justin has been a joy.....challenging at times but always a joy.  Justin has been a good son.  He has always tried hard to please others especially his family.  He's a good example to his entire family.  We are blessed to have Justin in our family.

I love watching Justin now with his family.  I am a proud momma!  He's a caring husband and a wonderful daddy.  He's adored by his little family and he adores them!

I am very thankful in deed for this boy of mine!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON!

Saturday

Jaydan's Home

Once of the best experiences in life is having your missionary return home!  Jaydan returned to us yesterday, April 27, 2012.  What a happy day!  The whole family went to the Airport to pick him up!  I love that my kids are so supportive of each other!  It was so great having everyone together again!  My heart was so very happy!    I love my family so much.  Seeing them grow up is such a joy.  I really truly enjoy every stage of life.  The teen-age years are rough at times but I still enjoy them. I just have great kids and I am so glad their mine.  So glad for Larry too....what a great hubby and dad he is!  I couldn't have asked for better!

The grands were all excited too!  We talk about our missionaries and have their pictures around so the grands know them.  It was fun seeing everyone respond to Jaydan.  Kamryn wanted to hide and scare him but then she got a bit scared herself and wouldn't come out from under the table.  It didn't take her long to warm up to Jaydan once we got home.  It was fun watching Jaydan and the grands.  It's obvious that he loves kids and they love him.  He chased and tickled them and threw them around.  Made me laugh!

Sitting at home watching and listening to Jaydan felt so normal.  The gap of two years was closed and it didn't seem like he had been gone long at all.  There wasn't any awkwardness.  Jaydan likes to talk.  That makes me laugh and wonder where he got that from. ;)

Oh Happy Happy Day!  I am so thankful for the blessing of God.  I am so thankful for my family.  I am thankful for wonderful friends that share in my excitement.  I am thankful for freedoms.  I am thankful for all the luxuries we enjoy and take for granted.  I am thankful for the Gospel.  I am thankful that our family has shared the Gospel with others in other countries.  I am thankful for each of my missionaries!  I am thankful for Christ.  I am thankful for every little thing he did for each of us and the big things too.  I am thankful for my life!
