Peter Pan

Peter Pan is one of the best plays we have seen this year.  The music was great and upbeat.  The performers were superior.  I pretty much loved everything about it.  It was funny and cute.  The funniest part has to be the mermaid dance.  Holy Crack Up!  The mermaids come in on chairs with wheels and most of them are guys.  The dance is hilarious!  Being a little tired makes everything a little more funny than normal.  Being a little tired makes me a little funny.  The drive home was filled with lots of laughter.  I'm not sure why I remembered a line or two from a few funny songs but I did and I was happy to share my singing with the others.  Oh my word it's fun "playing" with this group.  These gals make me feel loved and I am able to be my self around them.  We really do have a great time.

Triathlon

Today there was a Triathlon in Logan, UT.  The American Mothers group that Jodi is a part of was responsible for getting volunteers to help out.  Carla and I said that we would help and volunteered our hubbies to join us.  It was early, we had to be in Logan at 6:00 am.  I set my alarm for 4:10 pm.  Did you notice the pm?  Thank goodness Larry needed to take a potty break about 4:30 or we would not have got up.  We should have been leaving to go pick up Carla and Roger at the time so I hurried...really fast.  I didn't text them to let them know we were running late but I should have.  We got to Carla and Rogers just before 5:00 and they didn't come right out and so I went and knocked. I had to knock a few times and then I noticed the light under their bedroom door go on.  Oops....they slept in too.  They were speedy in getting ready and we made good time.  Jodi ended up being right behind us so everything was perfect.  After being instructed on what our assignments were Carla and Roger had time to run to the store for Carla's wake up drink.  They brought us back a muffin and I had one bite and Larry enjoyed the rest. ☺

It was fun helping out and I marvel at the enthusiasm of the participants.  I was over by the pool making sure that a path was clear for the participants when they got out of the pool and ran to their next event which was biking.  Larry was pointing the way to the bikes.  Carla and Roger were by the bikes making sure they mounted and dismounted at the right times.  Carla said she was thanked and complimented on doing a good job by many of the participants.  I didn't receive any thanks from the participants but I made sure I cheered for every single person when they got out of the pool.  Jodi was at the finish line recording everyone that finished.
I saw my cute friend Terese there.  This was her first triathlon.  Terese is a runner.  She finished 2nd in her division.  She is always competing somewhere.  It was an enjoyable day watching everyone.  I'd help out again.

We stopped on the way home for some lunch and then we all needed a nap. hahaha ☺

Thursday

Tremendous Thursday

We had a few little's come and play today.  They are seriously so stinking cute!  They are all really good kiddo's too.  I like having them over!
We took Justin's family boating tonight and had a really good time.  I took a few pictures. ☺  Justin's kids really enjoyed swimming which is something I think all the grands really enjoy.  The water was nice the entire time we were out.  It wasn't too hot and so I didn't feel the need to get in.
Justin was anxious to wake board and even got Parker and Mya to try it with him.  Justin asked Macie if she wanted to and she reminded him that she was only 2.  He didn't ask Parker but told him he was going to try it.  Parker was scared to death at first but of course he enjoyed it.  Mya has done it before but from some of the pictures I think she was still a little nervous.
Everyone enjoyed the tube.  It's a very kid friendly ride.  That is unless you are Jared and Larry is pulling you, then it might not be so friendly.  I might have even hollered at Larry to slow down.  I was so afraid of Jared getting whipped off.  Jared thought it was funny and laughed at me for raising my voice....he could hear me.

I really enjoy having a boat and it's working out great taking individual families out since we don't all fit anymore.

Wednesday

Temple

The Spirit spoke to me today at the Temple.  When I was walking in to get dressed a dear sister that I adore and usually see when I go to the Temple got up to hug me.  She told me that I had more Sparkle than anyone she knew.  Her daughter lives in my ward and she had told her that as well.  She gave me the best hug and the spirit overcame me.  Because of my "doubts" from yesterday I needed to hear that.  I am doing what I am suppose to be doing.  My friend is doing what she is suppose to.  It's okay that what we do is different.  Just like a lesson given Sunday in Relief Society about service, we all serve differently.  It's easy to think that the person showing up to clean a bathroom, or a sister bringing in a delicious meal is serving more than someone just sending a text or dropping by a treat.  It's not true....every act of service is huge!  I think the real problem is comparison. We shouldn't do it but Satan loves us too because we always end up on the bottom.

We had a large group doing Sealings today and I was overcome by the spirit in that room.  I started "leaking" and I was just watching and listening.  I know that Heavenly Father knows me.  I know that His plan and purpose for me is unique to me.  I know that I am following the Spirit and acting on the promptings I receive.  I know that I am blessed with many wonderful people in my life for a reason....it's a two way blessing.  I left today feeling peace and love!

Tuesday

Lunch with the Ladies

I got up early again and drove to Tremonton where I went to the Chiropractor.  I go that far because the doc there also does energy work.  I so believe in "energy".  My hips have been hurting and he did some adjusting and a lot of popping that sometimes made my legs jump off the table. He said my ribs were off.  Okay!

I told the Chiropractor about my hands and tummy problems and so he used muscle testing and asked my body a bunch of questions.  I answered yes to everything and knew was able to tell when that answer was incorrect.  My body had toxins and the doc was able to pull them out and replace positive energy back inside.  Other than that I seem pretty healthy.  I ended up buying some MSM which helps with replenishing skin and should help my hands.  I bought a pill and some lotion.  When the doc was telling me about MSM it reminded me about my capillaries bursting through my arms and he said it should help with that as well.  Hallelujah!  For my tummy he moved my large intestines that were up in my upper ribs.  That kind of hurt.  I guess when ones torso is squished so are the internal organs.  Since I have lost a few inches of my already short torso my organs don't have too much room.  I'm hoping this little visit works and I notice positive difference.

I came home and did some laundry and then met Kathy, Julie and Mallory for lunch.  We had a good time and a really nice visit.  We talked a lot about our personalities and our quirks.  It was fun hearing how others think and what consumes their minds.  I was asked how I was able to party all the time and if it bothered Larry.  I really don't party all the time but I am usually the one that will set things up including this lunch. It's because I like having fun and my friends are fun.  I admitted  that it bothered Larry for a little while but how I'm sure he doesn't mind now since I am so much happier.  I only play when my family is working or at school.  Definitely a perk of not having to work.  One of my friends mentioned how she only does things with her family.  Satan took that ball and ran with it.  I was starting to feel guilty later in the evening and wondering if I didn't spend enough time with my family or give them enough attention.  I was a little bit bothered.  Then the sweet thought came to me that I am always there for my family.  I put them first and will reschedule or miss out on things if I am needed by any of them.  I was reminded that the fun I have isn't just about me.  It blesses the lives of others.  I am thankful for the Holy Ghost that relays those messages to my mind.

After lunch I went to my moms to clean her bathroom.  I was thinking it would be nice if my sister was there and when I turned the corner her car was there.  I smiled inside and was anxious to see her.  She was still in her car and just getting out.  I loved listening to her talk today about the things going on in her life.  She has a new boyfriend and her attitude was so much better.  She wasn't complaining about things like the last few times I have been around her.  She was just stating facts and accepting them.  I was happy to see that.  The thought crossed my mind about three times to ask her why she unfriended me on face book but for some reason I never did.  I guess because it really doesn't matter.

My mom's neighborhood is getting young kids in it again.  A few of her neighbors have passed away and young families are moving in. The house on the west side of my mom is going to be  rented now instead of leaving it vacant.  A family with thirteen month old triplets and an 7-8 year old are looking at it.  I think it will be nice to hear little ones playing and laughing and screaming on those streets again.

Jared had his Board of Reviews tonight and two of the guys that were asked to participate in it forgot.  So, it was just Jared and the main guy in charge.  I had talked to Jared before about just being honest in his answers and not worry about saying what the guy wanted to hear or not.  If he didn't know an answer to just say so.  I reassured him that he had earned the Rank Of Eagle and to enjoy this interview instead of being nervous about it.  Larry had sent Jared home from work to study everything and that stressed Jared.  I think sometimes in the board of reviews the leaders try to intimate the boys which I think is wrong.  I think the boys should be praised since they work really hard and long to get to this point.  Jared's interview went well and he came home happy.  Larry got home a little after and I told him that Jared was told he wasn't going to receive his Eagle award.  I couldn't believe that Larry would believe that but he did and got angry.  I quickly let him know I was kidding.  haha....got him!  I only teased Larry because he had put pressure on Jared and acted like he might not get his Eagle if he didn't remember everything he had learned.

Monday

4th of July

We woke up bright and early.  Not to celebrate the 4th of July or to go watch a parade.  No, we woke up to go pull weeks at TJ Trailers storage lot!  Woo Hoo!  The only reward was that each of us were paid for doing it.  I guess to get away from weeding on a Holiday the secret is to leave town.  We've pulled weeds a few years on the 4th of July and many times on Memorial.  (I dislike weeds)

Some friends called to see if Larry and I would like to join them for 9 rounds of golf and even though it would have been fun Larry was stressing about his talk for this Sunday.  He hadn't started it and this week looks busy and so we declined.

I was able to finish and print my blog book for the first half of 2016 and so I was extremely happy about that.  Natalie invited us to the Clearfield Fireworks and I decided I was going to go.  I love Fireworks and wanted to do something to celebrate this day.  Since Larry's talk is on marriage he decided that he should come with me.  He would have rather stayed home to try to memorize his talk.  Even though he memorizes his talks, when he gives them he goes from the heart but all the knowledge can quickly be recovered.

It was fun visiting with some of Natalie's sisters and watching all the interesting people around us.  I wonder what other's think of us when we walk by.  There was a ghost on the swings for quite some time.  I'm not joking.  There were four to six swings and only one of them was moving.  It was consistent for probably 20 minutes.  It actually made me smile.  It had stopped moving before children ran over to swing on it and the others.

We were a block away from the park where they were lighting off the fireworks but we were still able to hear Alex Boye sing some songs.  He had performed earlier at the High School and then again before the fireworks.  The fireworks were fantastic and the grand finale was the best I'd ever seen!  It made my heart happy and I'm glad that I chose to go.  I am very thankful for the Freedoms We Enjoy!

Sunday

Sunday Fun

Today I kept dinner simple.  We had a taco salad and s'more bars.  Our house was buzzing from everyone talking and enjoying each other.  That's the way I like it.  I also really like that the parents of my cute grands help clean up on Sundays.  It sure helps a lot.  I was able to sit and enjoy everyone.  I was googling over the twins and Kevin noticed and asked me if I'd like to hold them.  Of course I wanted to hold them.  Kevin suggested I hold them both with one arm so that one arm remained free.  It was nice like that except I think Brynlie's space was crowded. ☺  I enjoyed them for awhile until Justin came and cozied up to me because he wanted to hold one.  I'm good at sharing and let him take Briggs.  I actually got to enjoy Brynlie longer than I thought.  Usually when I get a baby one of my kids comes and takes them.  I like having two.  I think two might be a little harder on mom and dad but these two are pretty stinking cute and doing great thanks to their awesome parents.  The sacrifice of little sleep is so worth these little miracles.  I'm such a happy gramma.

Today I tried scheduling "Cupcakes with the Grands" and holy cow it's hard to find a time that is good for everyone.  Sadie has daycare Mon-Wed and Trichelle's kids are gone every other weekend and Ivy goes to her dads two days a week.  I almost bagged it but Ivy said: "No".  I thought we'd come up with a day but it ended up not working out.  I'm hoping that it will happen on the 21st and that everyone will come.  I was thinking about going to Limitless with Kimi and Jared since they signed up again but I decided this wasn't a good month for me to go and so I'm not going. I also know that Kelsi asks Kimi to watch Sadie every other Thursday and the 21st is a Thursday that Kelsi works.  By staying home I can watch Sadie and make cupcakes with the grands.

Larry is planning on going camping on the 22nd but I'm not thrilled about it.  I didn't mind camping in the trailer with a toilet but camping in a tent again in not appealing to me at all.  Kimi and Jared won't get home until that night and we just found out the twins are being blessed on the 24th.  So, who knows if we will go camping or not?
