"Playing" Around Again

Another Fun Play with these Fun Ladies and girls.  Recently there was a Movie of "Into the Woods" and most the comments I heard from others about the movie was that it wasn't that good.  Barbie was leery about the play.  We laughed as we sang our sentences with no melody or rhyme.  We were skeptical but we were also pleasantly surprised.  I thought this was a fun play and even though the songs weren't "catchy" they were still better than I had anticipated.

Before the plays we always go out to eat and we knew the fresh peach shakes would be on at the Taco place and so we went there.  I had a little deja vu  going on when we got there and right on their sign it said" "Fresh Peach Shakes this Monday".  Two years ago the same thing happened....we were a few days too early. Darn!  Oh well....we tried and we will try again next year.  Barbie and her girls will probably make another run this season because they really wanted one and don't mind driving that far.

I enjoy this group of ladies and I'm so glad that I was invited to join their group.  The time always flies and we always have such a good time!  I sure do love and appreciate my friends!

Yes I Do!

Grands and MORE Grands

Today while I was waiting by Kathy's dads grave for his graveside service,  I got a cute text with this picture from Justin. "Hey look what we made."  Another grand is coming March 20th....woot woot!  I cried just a little because I'm so excited...now I will pray a lot for this little one and it's family.  I absolutely love adding to our family.  My kids are doing a good job!
Ivy and Zaden wanted to spend the night and so I told them they could.  I invited Kamryn to join them since I knew she would want to.  Her cousins are staying with them for a few days and so Brexton stayed to0 which was really fun for Zaden.  The part of sleepovers that I don't like is bed time.  The kids have a hard time settling down.  Tonight I told them all that this was my least favorite time too and it is also why I say "no" sometimes.  They quieted right down and I didn't hear them again until around 7:00 am.  Of course they wanted fancy shape pancakes for breakfast and of course I made them.  I'm glad the grands enjoy coming over.

Around 12:30 am the door bell rang.  I was wondering if the kids had gone outside and couldn't get back in but when I went to the door there were two "sheriffs" standing there.  My sleepy mind was trying to wake up and figure out what was going on...my heart was pumping faster than normal.  They asked me about Jaydan's truck being ours and if Jaydan was home. I went and got Jaydan.  I guess Jaydan was backing out in a  parking lot and hit another car.  He did get out and check to see if there was any damage but didn't see any and so he left.  He later told his friend that he probably still should have left a note with his name but didn't feel like it was really necessary.  The Sheriff's told us that Jaydan  had been reported as a hit and run....   I wonder if they felt bad for ringing our doorbell in the middle of the night for a bump in the parking lot where no one was hurt.  Sometimes I just wonder "why"?

But, I'm excited to get another grand baby and love the ones I have! ♥

Birthday Fun with the Hooper Honey's

Today we celebrated Kari's birthday which is the 28th of this month. (I'm just a month older than Kari)  I'm glad we were celebrating Kari so that she picked a day that she could come.  We try to choose days that everyone can come but there are times when things come up and we don't get everyone there.  Today we missed Lorraine (who threw her back out picking up a dog dish) and Crystal (who was heading to CA for a 2 week vacation).  I always enjoy our birthday lunches and think we should go every month like Tammy suggested.

I love laughing with these ladies and sharing our woes with each other if we have any.  I think women give each other such great support and we all need that.  Birthdays and Friends are so Fun!

Food 4 Thought Friday ~ This week's questions:
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Breakfast ~
How extremely blessed we really are and how much help we receive from the other side of the veil.
Lunch ~
Happiness is a choice and comes from within.  It's a conscious choice and one that needs to be made every day and often times throughout the day.
Dinner ~
Faith that everything will be okay as I watch a child be tested and tried.
Midnight Snack ~  (two for one here)
Kind, thoughtful, selfless, obedient  people who put others above themselves and keep the commandments.
That I am good enough right now where  I am.  I know that I can always improve and I always am trying to but right now in this moment I am Good Enough!

Recipe of the Week ~ (instead of your recipe for life what is it just for the week?)
Don't give up and don't listen to the whisperings of Satan.

Satan will always whisper negative, stupid lies to us that we hear and even consider.  He wants to destroy us and those we love and will use all his sneaky tactics to do so....we need to remember that negative thoughts come from him and not to give up or in.

My Grands Art

I love having my grands art on my fridge.  They make me smile ☺
Ivy leaves me notes quite often...
Zaden has learned to draw dinosaurs....I think the are scary and wonderful!

Mya and Parker often bring Larry and I homemade cards.  I couldn't find any from Parker but he is also quite the artist.
Kamryn makes things at school and brings them to us.  I adore their creations and them!

Fun Bunch Lunch at the Oak

I was excited to go to lunch with the Fun Bunch today. We went to the Oaks and sat by the river.  At first there were only six of us..then seven....then eight! (proof from the pictures) I was really glad that Jolene and Robin decided to come even though they were a little late.  The more the merrier.  We had four more that were planning on coming but things came up and they weren't able to make it. They were missed!

I love when new gals come because it's fun to listen and talk about "old times".  It's just fun being connected to such wonderful ladies for this long of a time.  The time between then and now doesn't really matter.  Friendship is a strong connection between people...I love my friends!

I just have to say that I believe Davaleen was with us today in spirit!  When I posted our pictures to face book the prompter tagged Davaleen in our pictures...that was about as weird as having her daughter continue to comment using Davaleen's  fb account with her name and picture still the same.
My car had problems today.  I couldn't get it to rev up and go.  It took time to get it moving and reverse had even less power. (I had the gas pedal floored and didn't move)  Driving up the canyon a light came on...the light that shows the tires sliding as if they are on ice...so weird.  It made me nervous and I took it right to our mechanic when I got home.  It was a brake light that needed replaced and was causing my car to be sluggish.  Easy fix and not too expensive!  I'm very thankful for that!
Carla gave me this beautiful quilt for my birthday.  It looks yellow and brown but is actually yellow and gray.  I don't feel worthy of such a gift. (I know how much $$$ and time went into this)  Carla has been trying to persuade me to make myself a quilt and I just haven't wanted to.  I don't enjoy it at all and I'm not good at choosing fabric.  Carla is good and I love what she chose for me. Yellow and bright like the "Sun" because she said that I add Sunshine to her life. (so kind)  I have recently added the exact yellow to my kitchen and family room. I love it!

I loved listening to Carla tell me about how she thought of me when she bought the fabric and also as she sewed it together.  This quilt is filled with love...so much!  I really do feel very honored to receive such a gift.  I will cherish and keep it forever and think of my sweet, thoughtful friend Carla every time I snuggle in it.  I told Carla that she must never get me another gift...this was too generous and I will never be able to pay her back.  Trichelle reminded me that our gifts are different and so maybe I have given her something just as valuable. (I hope so) I love Carla!
