Celebrating Teresa

I wanted to take Teresa to lunch today for her birthday but she already had plans.  She's awesome though and invited me to join her and her mom and Suzie.  I've gone with them before and so I did.  Actually moments before I messaged her I was thinking that I would like to go see "The Cokeville Miracle".  She told me that's the show they were going to and then to lunch.  Perfect!  I got ready and we all met in the Mall.  It was a really good show.  The power of prayer is incredible and Angels are real! I know that's why those kids were saved.  This town had the heads up about the bomb and so many people everywhere, stopped and prayed.  It made me think of when Jared was lost....I will always believe it was all the prayers said for him that he was saved.  I also know that Jared had Angels surrounding him.  God knows us and loves us and hears our prayers!

I love my cute friend, Teresa.  Teresa is so kind and beautiful....I feel blessed that we met and became friends!  I hope the 60's are good for Teresa....she deserves the best! ♥

Sunday

Date Night

Justin and Natalie had a date night and so we got to have the kids.  One of the best parts about having the kids is that they love coming to our house.  We played outside for quite awhile.  Macie loves swinging now.  She wanted to swing with me and then by herself.  I need to lower the big swings because I couldn't get in it right while holding Macie.  I love our playground...it's just so fun!
I invited the kids to spend the night since the movie was a later one.  Actually even if it would have been early I told Natalie the kids could spend the night.  They like spending the night too and only get to at their grandparents...so it's fun for them.  My little's make me smile! ☺

Would You Rather Meme....

Go Here to play along
  1. Would you rather go into the past and meet your ancestors or go into the future and meet your great-great grandchildren? hmmmm.....both are intriguing to me but I think I would prefer going into the future and meeting my grandchildren.
  2. Would you rather have more time or more money? Definitely more money!  Sometimes I wish I didn't have a budget and could afford the things I'd like.
  3. Would you rather have a rewind button or a pause button on your life? A pause button.  I like where I am at in life but I have noticed that a year passes quicker and quicker.
  4. Would you rather be able to talk with the animals or speak all foreign languages? I think I would be interested in speaking all foreign languages more.  Animals have a way of communicating without using a certain language. I think I would like knowing what those "nail" ladies are saying.
  5. Would you rather win the lottery or live twice as long? Win the lottery.  I am not a person that wants to live forever.  I'm good to go at any time.
  6. Would you feel worse if no one showed up to your wedding or to your funeral? Well I would be present at my wedding and would feel terrible.  I would feel bad for my family if no one showed up to my funeral since it would be to support those left here...not so much me.
  7. Would you rather be without internet for a week, or without your phone? The internet...because you can still communicate through the internet these days.
  8. Would you rather meet George Washington, or the current President? George Washington for sure.  I respect him much more than I do President Obama....I really don't care for him at all.
  9. Would you rather lose your vision or your hearing? That is a tough one but I think it would be hearing. I can't imagine not seeing the beauty around me...my grands cute smiles, the beautiful sunsets and sunrise, flowers, color.  I am okay with quiet so I think not hearing would be easier.
  10. Would you rather work more hours per day, but fewer days or work fewer hours per day, but more days? I think working fewer hours per day but more days would work.  That's how I work at home...a few hours in the morning and then I like to have my afternoon's free and then I work again in the evening.  If I was going to work outside the home I would rather work in the mornings and then have the rest of the day off.
  11. Would you rather listen to music from the 70’s or music from today? I like the music today but enjoy hearing the music from the 70's as well.   I would probably stay with today.
  12. Would you rather become someone else or just stay you? I'll stay with me.  At this point I have learned we all have strengths and differences and I know mine so I would stay with me.
  13. Would you rather be Batman or Spiderman? I guess Batman so I could drive a cool bat-mobile instead of climbing walls. (at times I feel like I am already climbing walls)
  14. Would you rather be stuck on a broken ski lift or in a broken elevator? The ski lift because it's outdoors where the air is fresh and the space is open.
  15. For your birthday, would you rather receive cash or gifts? I like both.  I was going to pick money only because I could get what I want...however I never really know what I want and usually save the money.  So receiving a gift is nice.

Saturday

Saturday

I did it....I got rid of most of my rubber stamps.  I had a hard time actually deciding to get rid of them but once I decided I didn't look back.  Trichelle was having a yard sale and so I loaded up my many containers and shelves and off I went.  I looked at the stamps and have many good memories of using them.  I just didn't want to continue to store them just in case I wanted to use them again.  Since I was dejunking I grabbed a few of my cute blocks and let them go as well.  I actually filled my car with stuff and it felt so good.  I went up later and sat with Trichelle.

People amaze me!  Most just want everything for free. (here let us put this all out and just come take what you want) Trichelle had the cutest dressers that she had painted and was selling for only $50 and someone had the nerve to ask her if she would take $5...ummm no!  They sold fast and would have even if they would have been priced higher.  Another gal asked Trichelle how much for a grocery bag FULLof clothes...cute clothes.  Trichelle said $5 and so the gal went and took from one bag and made it fuller and then asked if she could have the less full bag for $2.  Seriously????  A gal that I knew stopped over and found a bag that I had brought full of wood circles and asked me how much for the bag...I told her $3.  The wood in it was all brand new and probably cost me around $30.  She thought $3 was too much and told me so and wanted me to come up with another price.  I told her she could decide....since she thought I was ripping her off...I chose to let her rip me off instead.  She decided that she only wanted to pay $3 total for the bag of wood, 3 metal stars on stands, and two painted sunflowers.  I thought it was so weird and funny.  If we didn't want to make money we would have just gave it all to the DI.  (I didn't want to make any money though and told Trichelle everything that sold of mine was for her.  Heck...they took everything left over to the DI and it saved me a trip.)
A few stamps sold but the best part was that a lady came at the very end of the yard sale and mentioned that she worked at the Roy Senior Center.  We asked if they would like to have my collection of rubber stamps to use for their craft days and she thought that they would be delighted.  I was so happy that my stamps were going to a good place and that they would be enjoyed and used.  The lady even told me that if I ever needed to use a stamp that I knew where they were and could go use them.  (I know I will never want to use them again..but thought that was nice)  It felt good to load up her car and send her off with all those stamps.  It just felt wonderful to get rid of another car load of stuff I don't need.
When Larry got home we took the boat out to Willard to make sure it still works.  I had plans but Larry really needed me to help him and so I felt that I'd better help him.  Ivy and Zaden wanted to go with us and so they did.  Jared is always a good helper and likes being with us.  Willard is really low this year...like in the marina it's only 4 feet deep...the rest of the bay is around 12-20.  Not good boating waters but for what we needed it was fine.  Larry know the low spots and so he was able to open the boat up and go fast.  Zaden loved going fast....me.....not so much.  (only because of the low waters)  We stopped and the kids put their feet in the water and Jared decided to jump off the tower.  His life jacket didn't even look completely wet...he was out of that cold water so fast.  We all laughed out loud at him and his expressions.  Larry mentioned that was it for Willard Bay this year.  We will be headed to Bear Lake a few times this summer instead.  That's the good thing about the water being down at Willard....otherwise we don't take the time to drive to Bear Lake.  Willard is just so close and convenient.
We got home in time for me to run up to Teresa's Birthday Surprise. (at least the end of it)  I didn't want to miss her party because Birthdays are a Big Deal.  I was glad that her daughter had remembered me and invited me and I knew that if it was me being surprised I would like people to show up.  Teresa was surprised and happy to see me.  I gave her a jar of M&M's with a cute saying...
It was a fun day.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Breakfast ~ Post the last photo on your phone.
(Parker graduated from Preschool last night)
Lunch ~ What did you eat for your meals yesterday
(and snacks)? I ate a granola bar for breakfast and
it made me sick...I'm not use to eating healthy early
in the morning.  I ate at bowling and we had little
sandwiches (cucumber, egg salad, and chicken)
and a pretzel and strawberry jello dessert.  I made
spaghetti for dinner. I snacked on a piece of
raisin/cinnamon bread and a few chocolate nuggets.
Dinner ~ Name something that made you laugh out

loud this week? I know I laughed out loud earlier
in the week but can't remember right off.  Last
night I laughed out loud a few times at Parkers
graduation.  Each child was interviewed and
their answers were sweet and funny.  I adore little
children.
Midnight Snack ~ Name at least five things on today's
TO DO list.  1. pick up Ivy from her dads and take her
and Zaden to their Kids Club. 2. Go through the
cupboards in my laundry room and throw stuff
away.  3. make gift tag for Teresa's suprise
60th birthday party 4. take my kids to lunch and
also stop at the store for M&M's and gift bags
 5. Get Doughnuts since it is National Doughnut Day
today! 6. get Teresa's gift ready
7. watch Justin's kids tonight
Recipe of the Week ~ (instead of your recipe for life

don't need or use and pay attention to your soul..
