Happy Birthday Natalie

Natalie has reached the age that I feel like my spirit is....28!!!  I love this girl and I'm so glad that she joined our family a few years back.  Natalie is a great addition to our family.  She is so talented and we all admire her to pieces.  She's such a kind, soft spoken person.  I was thinking of Natalie and how controlled she always seems to be.  I bet there aren't many words this girl has to eat.  She is a gentle person and patient.  She teaches my kids piano and is gifted with knowing how to handle each one and make it fun for them.  She is an attentive wife and mother.  We all have Natalie up on a pedestal and she deserves to be there.   I love visiting with Natalie and I always learn so much from her.  I can always count on Natalie for anything.....this girl ROCKS!!! Beautiful Inside and Out!!!

Thursday

Sunshine...

As I was leaving for bowling today the thought came to me that I should take Lynne a "Sunshine Bag".  Lynne's grandson was delivered last Monday as a still born....so sad!  I know that as a grandma it is still hard....your heart breaks for you children and for the little one sent "home".

Lynne has lots going on in her life.  It could be easy to get discouraged or down.  She keeps smiling and going like she should.  Heavenly Father loves her and He does each one of us.  He puts others in our path to show His love and to convey His messages.

I feel like I am the delivery gal....it is the Lord that puts the thought into my mind to give these bags out. It was Him that put the thought there to even make them.  It is Him that knows of each of our struggles....He just uses us as His instruments.  I love being used by Him!

Wednesday

Love My Angel Babies

Oh my heck I love my grands so much.  There is something about being a grandma that makes you just appreciate the miracle of life even just a tiny bit more.  I got to watch Macie and Parker while Natalie and Mya went to PTA conferences.  Macie woke up and so I "needed" to hold her. ☺ I loved this little one before she was born.  I felt her sweet spirit because I thought more about her knowing a little of how she was coming to us.  She is truly an angel in every way.  Macie is so beautiful and good. She doesn't fuss much at all and is just content. I am so glad that Natalie hung around for awhile after the conference.  I love having the sweet spirits of my grands in my home.  They make my heart smile. ♥
My grands have awesome parents who teach them well.  I am so proud of everyone of my grands parents.  Every mommy and daddy are so attentive and good...even the steps are absolutely wonderful....I love them all!

Tuesday

Thin Skin

I have thin skin and every now and then a little capillary breaks and leaves me a red mark to remind me of how thin it is.  It's a "getting old" thing that I can't help or make better.  My daddy has purple arms from this happening and I guess that is just another gene I inherited from him....These marks don't hurt and I only know they are there when I see them...no warning...they just happen.  Oh the joys of an aging body.  Who knew?

Love this Girl

Carla has been wanting to go to lunch for about a week or so and our schedules have not been matching up but today they did.  We were planning on going to lunch and my mom called and asked me if I would be able to take my dad to get a scheduled MRI since she wasn't feeling well and she didn't want him taking himself.  Of course I would take him....she didn't think I could since I had a lunch planned.  I let her know that lunches are flexible...appointments aren't.  I just asked Carla if she would like to go with me and we could go to lunch after.  She didn't have other plans and so we were able to get in more visiting  which was nice.

My poor daddy though....they said the test would only be 20 minutes and an hour and half later my dad came shuffling out. (he shuffles these days...slow and steady)  They had to try a different way to have him lay since the first way just made his back hurt more than he could bare.  He seemed great when he came out.  I was happy to help my daddy and get to see my mom for a minute when I returned my dad. (wink)  I'm glad mom called and was glad that I could help.

It was fun visiting with Carla.  Carla is a sweetheart with a huge heart.  She is just such a kind person.  I'm glad and honored to be her friend.  I want to always remember that I am on her top 5 list....her hubby put me there and that made me feel good.  I'm not exactly sure what her list is for but I'm honored to be on it. ☺

Carla and I were talking about each of us going to the gym and how we just feel better and she decided to join the gym I go to so that we can go together.  Her and Roger go the base in the evening but she wanted to go with me in the mornings...I'm looking forward to having her go....I know it will make the workout more fun. Love this girl....and all my wonderful friends that inspire me always to be better!

a Stinky post

I don't care what you might call it...a toot, stinker, barking spider, small explosion between the legs, Fred, gas, cutting the cheese, bum burp or whatever other term one might use...I get tired of others doing this around me. (unless it is a child...like my grands....then I laugh or try to comfort them depending on their reaction)  I get it...sometimes one can't help it and those times I understand.  It happens...I know...it happens to me some times.  I also know that one should also have a little more control when it comes to releasing the gas inside.  I hate being in the same room with someone when they are purposely pushing them out.  It totally bugs me!  And for some reason the one doing it thinks it's so funny....but, if the roles were reversed it wouldn't be so funny and they would let me have it.

Why do guys always say that girls are worse?  It's because girls are better at controlling themselves and when a guy notices he makes a big deal out of it...maybe because he was surprised it wasn't his. I also wonder how guys can do lthis on demand...pull my finger...just mention it and they can produce...how does that even happen?
I have failed in this area of parenting.  I have tried to teach my children respect of others and leaving the room if they have to do this. (some got it~others...not so much) No matter how many times I have told my sweetheart I do NOT like going to bed with unpleasant odors in the air or under the covers it continues to happen....it irritates me! We have air freshener by the bed....one should not have to keep air freshener by their bed!  YUCK....GAG....MY PET PEEVE!!!
A few of the males in my family probably own a pair or two of these unders....if not they should!

Monday

Oral Surgery....DONE!!!

Oh how I wish Larry's teeth genes would have been the dominant genes but sadly they weren't.  My kids all got my genes when it comes to their tiny mouths and crooked teeth.  Three of my kids have met Dr Greg Roberts.  Braxton, Kimleighel and Jared have all had teeth growing sideways in the roof of their mouth and needed a button and chain on them to pull them into place.  Jared's surgery went really well and smooth.  He shouldn't have problems.

If I had to have a job I would love to be the one there when the patients wake up from their surgery. The meds make them a bit silly.  Every one of my kids has reacted differently.  Braxton was groggy and kind of sick to his stomach.  Kimleighel was silly as can be.  She saw pink unicorns and was talking and laughing at how silly she sounded.  She kept saying "I love this feeling".  Jared was more like a zombie...that was how Ivy described him...which fit.  He couldn't wake up and moved very slowly.  His limbs were heavy you could tell because he had a hard time lifting his arm or head.  We sat for over half an hour waiting for him to come to.  I gave him my iPad hoping that would help and it did.  At first he could hardly move his finger to play but gradually got better.  When we tried walking him out he was really having a hard time "planting" his feet on the ground and holding his weight.  We had to sit him down and wait a little longer.  He didn't say anything...no words at all from this kid.  He reminded me of myself.  I have a hard time coming to when I am put out too and I'm usually sick as well.  Oh I'm so glad he wasn't sick!  Ivy and I have enjoyed helping him out.  He was really dizzy and so to get around he crawled. I'm glad because he can't get hurt too bad by crawling.

I would like to say we will only see Dr Roberts if we ran into him outside of the office but that might not be the case.....we still have wisdom teeth that might need some help.  I would like to mention that Larry still has his wisdom teeth...his mouth has room and his teeth have always looked nice.  There is a reason I don't gamble.  Who'd have thought that out of 7 offspring not one would get their daddy's mouth and teeth?  Sorry Children....I blame my dad...who blames......not sure who he blames....not sure who started it!
