First Time Out With the Boat

We got the boat out for the first time this summer....which means.....we forgot a few things.....like the flag to warn the other boats we have people in the water.  That's a big Oops!  So we boated mostly.  I say mostly because we did get far enough from the other boats to let the kids swim but we couldn't let them wake board.

I think everyone still had a good time.  The first of the season is hard because we have to put everything back in the boat since we take everything out at the end of the season to winterize and clean it. We were just trying to think what we needed....we shouldn't rely on our "thinking".  Larry wasn't feeling good either or I bet he would have caught that "oops" and remembered the flag.  I forgot my camera and so the only pic was from Jaydan's phone which I took.  It was suppose to be of Jaydan, Braxton and Jared all doing back flips off the boat....I got the splash! (I'm not use to the phone camera and the delay)  Jared decided not to jump on 3.....

It was fun just being together for a few hours soaking up the sun!  Now we need to get the calendar out and put some boating dates down or I feel like the summer will get too packed with other stuff. The water is down and so we are limited on the amount of time it will even be safe to take our boat out.  I love boating with the family and look forward to a few more times with everyone.

Friday

Marg & Lorr

I'm always excited when we are able to get together.  Tonight Marg and her girls had a shower for Chad's fiancee'.  Stacy is a darling girl and will fit into the Rodee family nicely.  It was a nice shower and everything was so bright and cheery.  I always love seeing Margaret's girls and her other family. (sister, nieces, etc)  I love them all and have loved being included over the years.
Our families share so many wonderful memories together.  It's so fun talking about the things we have done together and the funny things our kids have done.  I love the sisterhood and friendship we all share for each other.  I love these ladies and I am so glad that I am included in their friendship and family.  Marg and Lorr are great examples to me and I am a better person because of them!

Farewell to Susan

Susan has been called to serve in the Washington DC Temple and will be leaving early Monday morning.  She will be trained in the SLC Temple and then drive to Washington DC to serve in that Temple.  I am so excited for her and more so for those that she will meet and influence.  Susan is such an amazing lady.  She is super talented and will is good at sharing her talents with others.  She will be a blessing to many just like she has been to her friends here.

Tammy and Tami threw a farewell for Susan.  It was nice of them and I know it was nice for Susan to see so many of her friends.  It was nice for me to see so many of my friends. I decided about the end of the get together that it was a good time to get some pictures with some of my friends that I usually don't get pictures of.  Thank Goodness my camera is usually with me.  I ran out and got it so I could get a few pictures.  I will never have pics of all my friends or those that are important to me but today I got a few.

These ladies that I got pictures with today have all influenced my life. Some have helped me with my kids and shown love to all of my family.  Some have been uplifting examples of goodness.  Some have listened to me while I have poured out my soul and got things off my chest. They all show their love for me and acknowledge my strengths and I appreciate that.  I love all my friends and these are a few of the ones that surround me.

Wednesday

Red Carpet......ya Baby!

The 48 Hour Film Festival Depute was tonight and yes we walked down the Red Carpet!  We had a great time.  Davaleen's, Mission by Choice was shown first and the audience was nice and cheered for us.  I was impressed with many of the other films.  Some people are really talented and creative.  It was a fun thing to be involved with.
My girls came with us and it was awesome having them.  They are not into getting their picture taken with their mom and her friends though.  (maybe when they get older they will realize the fun of it) hahaha

We went to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner first.  Larry had suggested it since Kimleighel has never been there before.  It was a hit....the place that is.  The service wasn't so great and maybe that is because there were a few big groups including ours. (we had 10)  We had to hurry out to get to the theater in time. (had our ice cream to go)

After the films were shown a girl named "Gina" asked us to be in a picture with her.  Gina was from another film which was funny.  She had noticed more detail about our film than was intended. (we hadn't done some of it on purpose)  We thought it strange but cool that of all the people a "Gina" would approach us.....I believe like Dave that our "Gina" was also there.  Before Gina passed away Jodi and I told her that we knew she would still be with us for our adventures.....I believe she was tonight! (of course she was)    It was cool.

(my camera battery was dead and so I borrowed these pictures...I think our eyes make us look like real aliens)                                                                                                June 5, 2013

Urine Town

Girls Night Out....Always Fun!  Tonight we went and saw the Musical~Urine Town.  I liked the music...or at least the beat of the music....it was the kind of music that made me want to dance in my seat.....and I did.  The play was silly and I think it's funny that someone would even come up with an idea like that.  You have to pay to pee....or go to Urine Town which is really your death.  Crazy...but funny in a way.

Regardless of how good the play is the good part is getting out with the ladies.  I enjoy our talks coming and going to the theater and the laughter shared throughout the night!  I'm happy to be included.

Barbie made me feel good when she told her sister that they included me in their group because I was fun and didn't mind getting a little crazy.  I love going to the Plays and these ladies make the experience even better.  I love them ALL!

Happy Birthday Princess

Today Teresa and I celebrated her birthday which is really this Friday.  I wanted to take her out to lunch and so we met at Good Wood and had a yummy chicken lunch.  Teresa is eating "certain" foods and has already lost 6 pounds.  Good job Teresa!

I love this girl!  She's such beautiful person....inside and out!  Teresa noticed an older lady having lunch by herself and decided to secretly buy her lunch for her.  That's the kind of person Teresa is.  She will do anything for anybody and give you the shirt off her back if she thinks you need it worse.  It was awesome to see this happen and I'm going to try to watch for an opportunity like this too.  I know opportunities like this are all around us I just haven't learned to focus on them.  I'm in the process of learning and someday I will notice without thinking about it.

I'm glad Teresa and I became friends.  She's a sweetie and adds so much to my life!  I love her!
