It's Conference Weekend! I love Conference Weekend however today I wasn't able to listen to the conference talks like I usually do. I'm not worried though because with the internet I can listen to them when I can....I love that! I went to Kamryn's game and then came home and got ready for the day. I knew Carla might need my help and she did. She was finishing up the table runners she has been making for a Craft Fair and really did need me to help her finish them. I helped iron and sew the little opening up. We finished when it was time to leave to check in and set up...she wouldn't have finished without my help and I was more than glad that I was able to help her.

Just as I walked out to leave for Carla's, Jared and Larry returned from their hunting trip. Jared got his deer at 603 yards....if you don't know that is a heck of a shot. Usually people shoot at 300 yards. Larry was so proud of Jared. Even though the first shot hit the deer in the belly it didn't kill it and so another shot was required. They got closer and Jared shot and hit the antlers and they blew off....that's crazy! One more shot took care of the deer. Hiking back up the mountain, Larry got dehydrated and his legs cramped up super bad and it was a good thing that Justin joined them Thursday night because Larry really needed a blessing. After the blessing he was able to rest and was fine on Friday..other than a little sore. I'm happy for Jared. I'm really glad that Larry and Jared had some time together for just the two of them...I think they needed it. I know Larry needed a break and I'm glad it was with a few of his sons in the beautiful outdoors.

All morning I was thinking of Jodi and the marathon she was running in St. George. She has been training so hard and really hoping to qualify for the Boston Marathon. While I was helping Carla I got a text from Jodi saying that she had qualified! Woot Woot! I'm so happy for my friend and admire her determination and drive. Jodi is going to Boston and will be running the Boston Marathon in 2017! (I might even go cheer her on)
I went with Carla while she sold her beautiful table runners at a Craft Fair by Deseret Book in Ogden. It was for the ladies since the men were at the Priesthood Session. She sold quite a few and is more prepared for the next one she is planning on doing in November. I enjoyed helping her and watching people.
After the Fair and Priesthood Session our family met a LaFerrovia. We invited Carla and Roger to join us and I'm happy to say they did. They love our family and I'm glad my kids were able to meet them. I really like our dinner tradition. I just love having my family together whenever possible. (Ivy and Zaden were missed but they were enjoying their daddy's)
