I love getting up and going bowling on Thursdays. I love the friends I bowl with and all the ladies on our league. It's a fun thing to do even when the bowling gods aren't with me. My team brings gifts for any occasion. Debbie brought us a note pad last week and Shirley brought us all a cute Conference Pack and some Easter Treats this week. Carla and I went to the dollar store and bought some Spring Things....flower head bands and pinwheel flowers. I like our team...they are all so kind and fun. I'm glad I bumped into Debbie ten years ago at a wedding reception and that she needed a sub for a few months while one of her team mates re-cooped from a surgery. I've been bowling ever since and having a great time.
I took Denise to lunch today for her birthday that was on Sunday. We met at the Blue Lemon and had a yummy lunch and a great chat catching up. I told Denise it's a good thing we have birthdays once a year since it's the only time we get together. The years fly by though and so those times seem to come around quickly. Having friends for a long time is such a gift. Denise was my visiting teacher when Larry and I first moved to Roy around 1985 and we have been wonderful friends since! Being friends for that long means sharing many happy times and some really hard times...it's nice having friends to share with.

All About Kimleighel
Kimleighel had an appointment bright and early to have her hair and makeup done in Perry by Jasmine. Jasmine was awesome and knew her stuff but she was even more awesome because she could relate to Kimleighel. Early in our conversation Jasmine told that us that she too was dyslexic and had experienced all the negative, hurtful things Kimleighel had. But how she decided that she wasn't going to accept that anymore in her life. She worked hard and used the help given to her and graduated on the honor roll. She also loves music and played the Viola. It was nice that her and Kimi had so much in common. Jasmine is beautiful and successful. Kimleighel felt like a princess having Jasmine doll her up. We stopped by Lynn's nails and had them paint them and then we met Randee who was taking Kimleighel's graduation pictures.
Randee had been thinking for weeks of what she wanted to do for Kimleighel's pictures. She had planned on going to the Salt Flats but went and checked out Antelope Island and felt like that would work and it would look just as nice as the salt flats. Randee had some really great ideas and we are thrilled with the results that she we have seen. She came home and had a few pictures ready before we had even made it home. Kimleighel was beyond pleased. I loved them too! I think Randee is doing a wonderful job at photography which she has just started doing. She is creative and puts a lot of thought into her work.
We spent about an hour and got some really wonderful pictures. Then in the evening Kimleighel changed her clothes and we went and got a few more in the valley.
It was a fun day and I know Kimleighel loved it. It was all about her and she ate it up. I'm glad I messaged Randee to do Kimi's pictures and that Randee told us about Jasmine. I love the results!

Count Your Blessings
One blessing I am grateful for today. The Temple. I am so thankful that I live so close to many and especially for the Ogden one that is super close. I love going to the Temple each week and was able to go with my sister/friend this week. I love feeling the spirit of our Lord.
An experience I have had that was a blessing to me. When I was young I watched my sister jump out of a tree. (we were all doing it having a blast) When she landed she hurt her back and couldn't walk very well. My mom asked our Bishop to come and give Susan a blessing. I remember laying on top of the bunk bed looking over the edge. When the blessing was over Susan was able to walk. My testimony of the Priesthood and it's power developed that day.
One Gospel Principle that is a blessing to me. The Priesthood ! This week I witnessed my son bless his child through through the Priesthood. I also got to see my hubby give our Sister Missionaries a blessing before the one left for Brazil. The Priesthood is such a Powerful Gift!
Something I have done to bless another. I helped take dinner into a family that just got a new baby sister this week. I also followed a prompting to call a friend.
Who was a blessing to me this week? My family. I love special times like Sadie's Blessing when we are all together. I loved having Kelsi's family over also and for the love they show to my son and us.

My Sister/Friend
Yesterday while I was doing things I felt impressed to call Tonya and see what she was doing for Spring Break and asked if she had any time to get together. She told me that she could Today and I was thrilled when she mentioned going to the Temple together. I hadn't told her but I was going to make sure I went today anyway. It was awesome spending time in the Temple with my sweet Tonya! We were in room number 1 and it's my favorite. The sun was shining through the stain glass windows and was simply glorious! They put shades down to darken the room for the movie and I was hoping they would raise them again before we left but that didn't happen. We visited in the Celestial Room for quite awhile. I love just sitting in the Temple and feeling the spirit and feeling the love that is so strong there. I love, love, love the Temple. It's my season in life that I get to go.
We walked over to the Blue Lemon after and enjoyed a yummy lunch and good conversation. I love when you get to visit with someone and you count on the Holy Ghost to enlighten your thoughts. Tonya and I always have those kind of visits. We share, listen and inspire each other. It's so nice having someone to do that with. I love my sister/friend. Tonya was also with me on the top bunk that day Susan received her priesthood blessing. We have grown up together and are going to grow old together. Tonya is such a wonderful person in every way. She's honest, caring, talented, nice, direct, compassionate, and loving in every way. She certainly is a blessing to me and my family!

A Recipe
This Month I want to share a really easy but really yummy Chicken/Pasta Dish.
You need 3-4 chicken breasts cooked and cubed, 2-14 oz cans of Italian Diced Tomatoes, 1 envelope of Lipton Savory Herb & Garlic Soup mix, Bow Tie pasta and shredded Parmesan Cheese.
Mix soup mix and tomatoes and cooked chicken and heat all the way through. Cook bow tie pasta according to package. Mix it all together and sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese!
Lemon Desert
1 1/2 cubes margarine, 1 1/2 cups flour, 3/4 cups chopped nuts, 1-8 oz softened cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, 1-12 oz cool whip (save some for topping), 1-6 oz pk instant lemon pudding, and 3 cups milk.
Blend margarine, flour, and nuts with pastry blender or forks and pat firmly in a 9x13 pan.
Bake 15 minute at 350....cool
Mix: cream cheese, powdered sugar, and cool whip and spread over the cooled crust. Refrigerate.
Mix lemon pudding and milk and spread over the cream cheese layer. Let set for 2 hours. Put left over cool whip on top and Enjoy!

About Me
I loved playing house and being a mommy. That's all I ever wanted to be when I grew up and I got a lot of practice from the time I was very small. I remember dragging my stuffed dog and taking my dolls to Tonya's house. I loved her doll. It was life size and felt and looked like a real baby. We spent hours playing dolls.
I remember playing in the top of our garage. We moved things around and created a little house so we could take care of our "children". I know I had many dolls throughout my childhood.
I remember having these two dolls as well. Oh how I loved my baby dolls and being the mommy!

The Ghost Team
About a month ago one of the ladies at bowling asked me if I thought I could make a stuffed ghost to represent the "ghost team". The ghost team is the opposing teams scores minus ten from their average. We have an odd number of teams and so a "ghost team" is needed so everyone can still bowl each week. Really you just bowl against yourselves and if you get your average no biggie because the ghost team takes 10 pins below your average. Any way...Carla and I got together today and we came up with a few cute ghost. Carla couldn't figure out how I was going to make them stand but I had it figured out in my head and it worked! I think they turned out pretty cute and now Carla and I are even thinking we might want to make some for Halloween! I'm pretty sure the gal that asked me to make them is going to be pretty happy with the results...they are "boo-tiful"!
