Jordyn went to the Zoo to celebrate her birthday. I think she likes the zoo and all the animals unless they get to close to her. She got to help feed the giraffes and was a little hesitant I guess. On the way home from the zoo they stopped at Golden Corral in Layton for dinner. Julie text me earlier and invited us if we wanted to join them. Kimi and I picked up gramps and went. I wasn't hungry and so I got a "free" glass of water. ☺ I love when our kids invite us to things and like to make it if at all possible. It was fun watching Jordy enjoy her dinner and tell a little about the zoo.
I got to feed Brynlie and snuggle with her for awhile. The twins are two months old today and are growing so good. They are over 8 lbs now and doing really well. I am glad I was able to go and be our little birthday girl.

Jordyn's 2
Cute little Jordyn is two years old today. I know I say it all the time but those two years went by pretty quickly. This little one is so sweet and cute. She loves animals and baby dolls. When she comes to play at our house she always gets the babies and will cover them up and play with them for hours. She does that same thing at her house. Jordy is an easy little one. She's very pleasant and pretty content. She makes this gramma's heart smile so big. I'm so thankful for Jordyn. Our family is so blessed to have her in it! What a cutie patootie!

Celebrating Kathy!
Kathy's birthday was right on Father's Day this year and so I think she felt a little neglected. I felt like she needed to have a little spoiling and so Carla and I planned a lunch date with her. I invited Jodi and since she had already been this way twice this week we went to her. I figured Kathy wouldn't care where we went anyway. We met at Maddox. We have fun together.
I think we all need spoiling every now and then and for sure on our Birthdays....or at least close to our birthdays. I think Kathy enjoyed her special day...I know I did.
I took my leftovers to Larry. He was doing the blood drive for our Stake and so Carla and I decided to donate. I kind of "encouraged" Carla to come to lunch since she wasn't feeling up to it and she kind of "encouraged" me to donate my blood. It's crazy how you get an idea of something stuck in your brain and carry it with you throughout your life. I feared "shots and needles" as a child and still do a little. So weird, since I have had kids and know that they are really not that big of a deal. I am going to work on deleting that fear from my mind. It's stupid and giving blood isn't scary and it doesn't hurt.

Temple with some Sista's
Today I met Jodi and Lisa at the Temple. Kathy had a migraine and wasn't able to make it. (darn) It was nice going through a session with my friends. I haven't gone through a session for so long that I forgot we needed to get a new name first. Thank goodness Lisa guided me in the right direction. ☺ Going to the temple with my friends is such a good thing to do. We are helping others and getting to spend time together. It's the only time Lisa will join and I really enjoy her company. I was thrilled that Jodi drove down to meet us too.
We had a nice relaxing lunch at Even Stevens. I really like this place. We sat outside so it would be quieter. We shared a lot of personal things with each other today. I think that is the advantage of having a smaller group. I admire these two ladies a ton. They both inspire me so much. I hope I do the same for them. It was a beautiful day. We really need to do this more often. Oh...So Fun!

Monday
Monday/Funday
I really look forward to playing games with my friends on Monday's. I get up and get laundry done and a few other things before I leave. Today we played the Canadian Salad game and I will admit it was a little tense for me. I had fun and even won the first game. This game you kind of have to think and it would be really good if you could count cards. (I'd hate playing with Larry because he is good at counting cards) Debbie keeps pretty good track of whats being played. Not me, I just play and realize when I make a dumb mistake afterwards. Julie won two times so she was the biggest Lucky Duck. We played three games and I had to leave. My visiting teachers were coming and I wanted to hurry and make them some caramel corn. I love giving my visiting teachers treats because they love them. I know they really appreciate the treats I give them and that makes me happy. I love my visiting teachers.
When my teachers left, Kimleighel and I went and picked Julie and Carla back up and went to Swiggs. Kimi had wanted to go and I'm always game. It was Julie's first time there and so we went inside and visited while we enjoyed a drink and a cookie. I really enjoyed watching the cars at the drive up window. I wish I knew what everyone was ordering. I love watching people. My favorite was watching one lady rub her hands together and hold them afterwards like she was so excited for her treat. It's the little things in life that bring me joy! haha

Peter Pan
Peter Pan is one of the best plays we have seen this year. The music was great and upbeat. The performers were superior. I pretty much loved everything about it. It was funny and cute. The funniest part has to be the mermaid dance. Holy Crack Up! The mermaids come in on chairs with wheels and most of them are guys. The dance is hilarious! Being a little tired makes everything a little more funny than normal. Being a little tired makes me a little funny. The drive home was filled with lots of laughter. I'm not sure why I remembered a line or two from a few funny songs but I did and I was happy to share my singing with the others. Oh my word it's fun "playing" with this group. These gals make me feel loved and I am able to be my self around them. We really do have a great time.

Triathlon
Today there was a Triathlon in Logan, UT. The American Mothers group that Jodi is a part of was responsible for getting volunteers to help out. Carla and I said that we would help and volunteered our hubbies to join us. It was early, we had to be in Logan at 6:00 am. I set my alarm for 4:10 pm. Did you notice the pm? Thank goodness Larry needed to take a potty break about 4:30 or we would not have got up. We should have been leaving to go pick up Carla and Roger at the time so I hurried...really fast. I didn't text them to let them know we were running late but I should have. We got to Carla and Rogers just before 5:00 and they didn't come right out and so I went and knocked. I had to knock a few times and then I noticed the light under their bedroom door go on. Oops....they slept in too. They were speedy in getting ready and we made good time. Jodi ended up being right behind us so everything was perfect. After being instructed on what our assignments were Carla and Roger had time to run to the store for Carla's wake up drink. They brought us back a muffin and I had one bite and Larry enjoyed the rest. ☺
It was fun helping out and I marvel at the enthusiasm of the participants. I was over by the pool making sure that a path was clear for the participants when they got out of the pool and ran to their next event which was biking. Larry was pointing the way to the bikes. Carla and Roger were by the bikes making sure they mounted and dismounted at the right times. Carla said she was thanked and complimented on doing a good job by many of the participants. I didn't receive any thanks from the participants but I made sure I cheered for every single person when they got out of the pool. Jodi was at the finish line recording everyone that finished.

I saw my cute friend Terese there. This was her first triathlon. Terese is a runner. She finished 2nd in her division. She is always competing somewhere. It was an enjoyable day watching everyone. I'd help out again.
We stopped on the way home for some lunch and then we all needed a nap. hahaha ☺
