Saturday

Conference Tradition

I love Conference Weekend.  I finally enjoy listening to all of the sessions.  It took me longer than most I am sure but I really even look forward to the Saturday Sessions now....I plan for them. I use to feel to busy to enjoy them but at last I do!
I love sending the boys off for the Priesthood Session.  I love that they can all go and that they go together.  Little things like that mean so much to me.  The Priesthood means so much to me and I am grateful that all my boys have it and honor it.  Such a blessing that is.
I love that we all go to dinner afterwards.  We always see dads with their sons but usually not the whole family.  The Priesthood is for the whole family and so I'm glad we all go rather than split up having a boy's night and girl's night.  The way we do it is perfect for me.
It's a tradition to go the LaFerrovia our families favorite Italian Restaurant.  However we need to remember that calling in our orders is much better.  We talked about it but decided we weren't in a hurry.  While we were there waiting I remembered that last year an employee told me they liked having our order early so when the crowds came they were a step ahead.
I love every bit of time our family has together.  It's always fun and funny.  Much smiling and laughter is shared.

I am thankful that my kids are such good friends with each other.  They love and support each other in a way that parents can't.  I appreciate them all so much for watching out and caring for each other.
Last conference we brought Jessyca Fullmer with us and this conference we brought her brother, Jayden.  We are thinking about bringing the youngest (Sydnee) who is Jared's age next conference.
Life is good.  The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints makes it better.  The joy and peace I feel when I try my best is wonderful.  Having my family forever is one of the biggest "perks" the Church has. (hope that doesn't sound bad....I'm just glad I get my family forever)

Good Job Jared

Jared built the Alamo.  He stressed a little about this project but did a great job with it.  He had to have a  3D project and also report on it. I loved that he chose to build with his lego's.  Jared loves lego's and is very creative.  I realized that he likes things to be exact and I had to keep telling him this couldn't be and that plastic cowboys and indians would suffice just fine.  He chose to make a power point for his report and in my opinion did a great job with it. I'm proud of this cute boy!

Tuesday

April Fools

The only joke I did for April Fools was post on Face Book that I was going to eat Healthier and give up sugar and chocolate.

I fooled a few but for those that really know me knew it was a joke.  I can't even imagine giving up chocolate or sugar.  I could cut back on both...but right now in my life.....I don't want to!

Trichelle and her kids went with me to Pleasant Grove to get some dresses for Kimleighel.  A friend was selling her daughters dance dresses and since they were modest and cute I decided to make the trip and get them.  I really enjoyed the drive since I was able to talk to Trichelle.  I like the time I get to visit with my friends and it doesn't happen near enough.  The kids were hungry and so we went for breakfast.  Just being with them all was great.  I loved our morning together.

Larry and I went to the Jazz Game and had a great time.  We left a little early because we were sure that Ivy was going to spend the night...she wasn't here and had decided not to.  Maybe that was good since we got a heart breaking phone call from a good friend.  Our baby had text a few friends saying he wasn't good enough for this life.  I don't think it was an April Fools joke but really wish it would have been.  Neither Larry or I slept very well that night....I cried and prayed a lot.

The girls had decided to get together for a picnic with the cousins but the weather was cold and we got some rain and so we picnicked inside.  It was fun.  I love that the cousins love each other so much.  I also love that the older kids all enjoy each other too.  Family is the best and I'm so happy that my family gets along so well.

Today I received a phone call from the same friend with a plan of action to help me with the situation we have.  This families love and concern is exactly in sync with what Jesus would do.  They are His instruments and we are so thankful.  I would not have known where to turn or what to do.  They knew exactly a course to get me going and had made phone calls ahead to make it even easier.  I am forever grateful for them and will always be.  I feel blessed in spite of the challenge.

Monday

My Favorite Sunday of the Entire Year....EASTER SUNDAY

I LOVE Easter.  I love everything thing about Easter.  The cute baby animals, and fluffy stuffed toys, and egg hunts, and bunny ears, and family traditions, colored eggs, and Easter buckets....I love it all.

I especially love going to Church on Easter.  It has always been my favorite since I was just a little one myself.  I always loved hearing about Jesus and how after all the horrible things happened and his life was taken from him that he Resurrected and Lived Again.  Knowing that has always made my heart happy.  So Easter is a Happy Feeling to me and I love it!
I love being with my cute family on Easter.  Love, Love, Love it! (we missed Ivy but sharing her is part of life and we just do our best to deal with it)

I always look forward to our Family Easter Egg Hunt.  I love watching everyone run around looking for eggs.  Mya told me this year that Easter is also her favorite.  I love sharing my interests and feelings with my family and love seeing them enjoy the things I do.  Oh Happy Heart!

We never know what Larry has up his sleeve and what might be in store when all the eggs are found.  Some years he gets pretty clever, this year wasn't one of those years but that's what makes it so fun...you never know. :)

This year there was a little surprise and it was in my back pockets.  It surprised even me....I had no idea that when Larry was putting his hands in my pockets earlier that he was really planting some money.  It was funny....I'm sure my boys were thrilled to reach in my pockets. haha

Everyone found lots of eggs.  We count them before so that we will know if we found them all.  We came out 20 ahead so our counting wasn't very good.  Gramps brought a few over a few days later that he found in his yard. (I don't know why we even count)

Oh I LOVE Easter and Our Family Traditions!

Sunday

coolest mom

I was ready for bed....in bed when my boys came in and told me that I would be the coolest mom ever if I hid from dad in the basket of stuffed animals.  I really didn't want to but how could I not when 6 eyes were encouraging me and 3 smiles shining at me and little voices pleading. So, I did it.  I climbed in the basket and let the boys cover me up with the stuffed toys.  Larry came in and asked where I was...I think the boys said in the bathroom.  When he could see I wasn't in the bathroom he called my name.  I knew if I didn't answer he would go to bed without me and I would be left to sleep with the stuffed toys, so I gently replied..."huh?"  The boys laughed and I guess they expected me to pop up like a "jack in the box".  I didn't know that was the plan or I might have hunched down instead of sat down.  We laughed and laughed and I am now "the coolest mom" ever.

Saturday

Take me out to the Ball Game.............

I knew we were going to a Ball Game but for some reason I didn't know it was a Baseball Game.  I was pleasantly surprised when I realized it.  I like going to Baseball Games.  I like the game and I enjoy watching the people at the games.  The food......where else to do get 12 in hot-dogs surrounded by more than ketchup and mustard?  Also for those that like to drink....and there are plenty that do....they have beer....lots of beer.  Beer makes peoples personalities change....and their smell.
Everyone at the game where given a lanyard and something saying the Bee's hosted this exhibition game.  So they look official but what are they good for really?
They are good eye covers.  They keep the sun out really good.  When you cover your eyes with them it brings out one's lips....
They would really be useful if you were having an eye exam.  Cover one eye at a time.  They don't bend so you would be pushing on your eye and it would be ready to read the charts afterwards without having to wait for it to focus because you were pushing on it.
They fit nicely at the top of ones glasses if you didn't want to be like everyone else and have it hanging from your neck.
Or you could use it to cover your mouth so that the deaf people can't read your lips. I'm really glad I received this awesome gift.  I just might find a few more uses for it.
The Malone's invited us to go with them.  I thought it was nice of them to invite us.  I'm glad we have a few of the same interests of others.  It's always fun enjoying a day with friends.  It was a nice spring day too.....so perfect for a baseball game.
A few foul balls were hit our way.  Thank goodness we were paying attention.  One ball even landed in my seat between my back and the seat.  It fit because I was ducking down worried that it might bounce off a chair or head and come back to me.  It did and we became owners of an official baseball.
We owned it for a few innings until the end of the game.  The guy behind us really wanted it and right off offered us $60 cash for it.  I told him I was going to hold out until later when he had a few more beers in him and see if the price would go up.  He said that's all the cash he had but was good for more if we wanted it.  At first Larry wanted to keep the ball.  I would have just given it to him...but couldn't resist the offer.  Larry finally decided that the guy could afford the ball with all the things he was talking about (he never quit talking) and it would pay for all of our dinner.  I liked his decision.
I had a few mustaches in my pocket for the 7th inning stretch.  Larry looks happier about it than I think he really was.  I reassured to him it was the better choice of the things I thought about bringing.
We had a great time and dinner tasted even better knowing that we weren't really paying for it.  I'm glad we were able to make the guys behind us happy too.
