Take me out to the Ball Game.............

I knew we were going to a Ball Game but for some reason I didn't know it was a Baseball Game.  I was pleasantly surprised when I realized it.  I like going to Baseball Games.  I like the game and I enjoy watching the people at the games.  The food......where else to do get 12 in hot-dogs surrounded by more than ketchup and mustard?  Also for those that like to drink....and there are plenty that do....they have beer....lots of beer.  Beer makes peoples personalities change....and their smell.
Everyone at the game where given a lanyard and something saying the Bee's hosted this exhibition game.  So they look official but what are they good for really?
They are good eye covers.  They keep the sun out really good.  When you cover your eyes with them it brings out one's lips....
They would really be useful if you were having an eye exam.  Cover one eye at a time.  They don't bend so you would be pushing on your eye and it would be ready to read the charts afterwards without having to wait for it to focus because you were pushing on it.
They fit nicely at the top of ones glasses if you didn't want to be like everyone else and have it hanging from your neck.
Or you could use it to cover your mouth so that the deaf people can't read your lips. I'm really glad I received this awesome gift.  I just might find a few more uses for it.
The Malone's invited us to go with them.  I thought it was nice of them to invite us.  I'm glad we have a few of the same interests of others.  It's always fun enjoying a day with friends.  It was a nice spring day too.....so perfect for a baseball game.
A few foul balls were hit our way.  Thank goodness we were paying attention.  One ball even landed in my seat between my back and the seat.  It fit because I was ducking down worried that it might bounce off a chair or head and come back to me.  It did and we became owners of an official baseball.
We owned it for a few innings until the end of the game.  The guy behind us really wanted it and right off offered us $60 cash for it.  I told him I was going to hold out until later when he had a few more beers in him and see if the price would go up.  He said that's all the cash he had but was good for more if we wanted it.  At first Larry wanted to keep the ball.  I would have just given it to him...but couldn't resist the offer.  Larry finally decided that the guy could afford the ball with all the things he was talking about (he never quit talking) and it would pay for all of our dinner.  I liked his decision.
I had a few mustaches in my pocket for the 7th inning stretch.  Larry looks happier about it than I think he really was.  I reassured to him it was the better choice of the things I thought about bringing.
We had a great time and dinner tasted even better knowing that we weren't really paying for it.  I'm glad we were able to make the guys behind us happy too.

Thursday

Gettin' Our Hoppy On

I took Tammy to lunch today for her birthday.  We had a great visit as always.  I love talking and sharing with Tammy.  We confide in each other about everything and our deepest feelings.  It's nice to have a friend like that and to also be a friend like that.  I am thankful for this girl.
We had a good time after lunch at the park, with the ducks, on the rocks, and behind the rocks, with my camera and tripod.
I grabbed a few pairs of bunny ears as I was leaving since Easter is close and spring is here.  Aren't the pictures funner with bunny ears?

Oh my heck we laughed so hard.  I got a  little work out setting the camera and running to my spot.  I ended up with a bump on my knee at the end of the day.
When we act silly we attract others.  A few ladies enjoyed watching us "hop" around and we even had one stop and chat with us and even end up in a picture with us.  I seriously love helping others smile and add to their "hoppy"....it makes me "hoppy".
I enjoy pictures because they make me laugh all over again.  I can't help but laugh when I see these pictures and remember the fun we were having.  I would encourage others to use their camera's more.
I would also encourage others to get silly.....have fun....even if it's a little our of your comfort zone.  I would also say....quit worrying about what others think.  Have fun and enjoy life how ever you can.

Back in the days when I was trying to please everyone and be who I thought others expected me to be I can honestly say it wasn't fun.  I was miserable and never felt like I reached the expectations I thought others had of me.  I am much happier not caring.  I'm a dork.....I don't care.....I'm also happy!

I love days like today.  I love laughing and helping others to laugh.  Laughing is my favorite....right along with smiling!

Wednesday

Kimleighel's Birthday Dinner

We came home a little early from our camping trip so we could take Kimleighel out for her birthday dinner.  For a year she has been talking about going to LaFerovia, and that's were we went.  Our families favorite place to eat.
I love the one on one we get with our kids on their birthdays.  So much fun focusing on just one child...every now and then.
Kimi is such a pretty thing and getting sweeter all the time.  I love watching her become......her!
Kimi received her Patriarchal Blessing on Valentines and it was so cool hearing about this lovely daughter of ours.  I think it was wonderful seeing how she reacted to the things said.  She's a blessing to our family that is for sure!

we went camping....

Larry bought a 5th wheel trailer and a nice truck to pull it with from our good friends and Larry's accountants, the Swearingens.  Sandy isn't doing well and so Jim decided he didn't need to keep the trailer or truck around.  It was a good deal so Larry decided to get it.  We took it camping this week and had a great time.  It was so nice to get away and just rest.  We read, watched movies, napped, walked outside, played games and just chilled.  (I love that Larry was able to rest....he needs to every once and awhile and seldom gets to...he took 3 naps the first day)

Kevin, Julie and Kamryn came up and visited Monday night for FHE.  It was fun visiting with them.  They could come since we decided to just go out to Willard since it was close and our first time.  We weren't sure what we needed and I didn't want to go far. It was a good decision since the destination wasn't as important as the getting away.  We liked it and will probably go there again.

Kam really wanted to stay over with us but we were going to the Temple with the Young Women in the morning and so we couldn't let her.  She was bummed and really I was too....I can't wait for us to be able to take her and the others.

I got a kick out of Jim.  He was talking to Larry on Monday and showed up on Tuesday with a garbage can of wood, an ax, and a mobile fire-pit.  He thought we needed a fire since we were camping.  I think he just wanted to see us using the trailer and I could tell he was glad.  He was a little emotional when we took it but was happy when he came to visit us while camping.  He had plans of enjoying this with his sweetheart since they had finally both retired.  I feel bad for them.....life isn't always the way we plan.
For that very reason I didn't mind borrowing a little for this.  We can sell it if we need to and we have other assets and so it was easy for me to justify.  By the time we can afford things we might not have the health to enjoy them.  I'm glad we got this because the few days we were gone were good.  I love the togetherness and not having responsibilities. Relaxing is a good thing.  Playing with the kids is also a good thing.  Taking walks in the fresh air is a good thing.  Being away from others is also a good thing every now and then.  It's just a good thing!
We took the kids to the Temple on Tuesday and they did Baptisms for the dead.  They both loved how clean and wonderful they felt.  I loved the spirit that I felt.  The church is true and God is good!
Jared learned to chop wood.  The kid has a lot of energy and it was fun watching him chop away.

We all slid down the rails by the stairs.....a lot.  It was fun!

We stuffed the Easter Eggs for our Family Easter Egg Hunt.  I loved having the help!
We played games.  While we were in Brigham City we stopped at the store and got some things to keep in the trailer.....the kids enjoyed themselves.  I enjoyed myself too and I know Larry did as well.  It was simply enjoyable.

On Wednesday we visited the Golden Spike Museum.  It was pretty interesting and cool.  I didn't even know it was so close.  I think I did but really hadn't given it a thought.  I'm glad that Larry suggested it because it was a nice thing to do.
I'm looking forward to more get a ways.  Life is to be enjoyed and not just endured.  That statement has been brought up a few times lately.  Life is hard and we do have to endure all the yucky stuff but it can also be enjoyed if we make it enjoyable.  It's up to us to make it enjoyable....it is also up to us to endure.
