Mother's Day.....I LOVE it!
I LOVE Mother's Day! I have always LOVED Mother's Day! As a child I loved singing to my mom on Mother's Day. I still love listening to the children sing to the moms. Mother's Day got better when I became a mom because I love being a mom. I love having the children that I do. Each one has taught me so much and have been such a joy. They have brought out my bad side at times but I will give them the credit for bringing out my good side. I am who I am because of them. I am a better person because I am a mom.
As I get older and my children do too I cherish the moments we all have together. I love being together. I am thankful for Larry for wanting to have a big family too. I am thankful for Larry for being such a great dad to our children. I am thankful to them all for making me a mom!
Some of the texts I received:
Daniel: Dawn happy Mother's Day!!! I hope you have a wonderful day. I bet it was special having all the kids finally together. You are a great mom and I know we will continue to be blessed with your love. Love you Dawn and Happy Mother's Day.
Keri Gray: Happy Mother's day to such a sweet, loving, and loveable woman. Your example and love for life truly inspire and motivate me on a day to day basis! Thank you for letting your light so shine! Sure do love you. :)
Jaydan: Read this if you're the bestest mom in the whole world.... An official Happy Mother's Day!!! You're a great, great, great living mom and I know you're being like the mothers of the stripling warriors teaching your children in the ways of God, and for the reason God is prideful for as a "Successful" loved mother of God. Just remember if God had to pick between the father and the mother he'd pick you. You gave life to the sweet children and are the teacher for their lives. According to the family proclamation, God loves you and so do I. You're a Tony the Tiger grrrrrrrrrrrrreat mom! Happy Mother's Day!
Debbie Widdison: Happy Mother's day to all my cute lady friends! Each one of you have played a role in the lives of at least one of my children and I thank your for that and your great example. Love You!!!
Braxton: Mom, you're the best mom ever. I'm not sure if anyone else in the world could have got me where you have gotten me.Thanks! Love You!
Martha Monroy: You are my second mom in this world. I love you and thanks for being on my side all the time. Love you forever. :)

Saturday
Pop 3 bags of Popcorn and remove un-popped kernels. Put in a really large bowl with a bag of mini marshmallows.
In a pan: Melt 2 cubes of margarine, 1/2 cup karo syrup, and 1/2 cup sugar. Boil and stir for 3 minutes and pour over popcorn.
Karmel Korn:
Pop 2 bags micro popcorn and get kernels out and put in large bowl.
Heat: 1 cube margarine or butter, 2 cups brown sugar, and 1/2 cup karo syrup.
Use a wooden spoon and stir while mixture boils for 1 minute. Don't lift spoon from bottom or scrape sides of pan.... supposedly if you do it will go sugary.
Remove from heat and add 1 tsp vanilla. Stir and pour over popcorn.
White Chocolate Chips Popcorn, or any chips (I used Cherry chips today & M&M's)
Melt a bag of chips and pour over 2 bags of popped popcorn. You can add pretzels, broken up cookies, and candies. When mixed spread on a cookie sheet to set up.

Crafting Fun
There was new gal there today and I'm sure we made an impression. We'll see next month what kind of impression we made whether she shows up or not! I loved the technique today. We did shaving cream cards. It was easy and so cool. I bought re-inkers so I can do it at home. This would be a great craft for girls camp. We also made coasters which were cute and easy. I actually hosted today with very short notice. I decided to just serve different kinds of popcorn. I found really cute Popcorn Bowls at the Dollar Store too to serve it from. It was easy but I think everyone enjoyed it. It was a fun day as always getting with the girls and laughing and crafting!
For the shaving cream cards you put white foamy shaving cream in container. Then you drop ink into it and swirl with stick or spoon. Then you put glossy card stock (shiny side down) into it. You wipe the cream off and have a really cool design. I loved it! We used purple ink only but could use a few colors at the same time if wanted.
